    • @@delilahboahello and thank you for replying 🌷. I'll certainly look up the Isle of Mull. I'm based in England and was considering a move to the Scottish countryside. As children we spent time in the Dumfries & Galloway area as my parents had a holiday home there. Really stunning scenery. Sadly, I know very little about the parts further north apart from reading about it. I would love to tour and see it for myself, but have three adopted rescue dogs, two from overseas who had horrific lives and they don't travel well. The whole country looks stunning but seems a bit unstable politically at the moment 🦋.

  • You have a few 'different' destinations on here, which is welcome, although the South of Scotland is still unrepresented. How about Melrose, or Jedburgh, with their abbeys; Dumfries or Kirkcudbright? And what about St Andrews, Falkland and Culross? I know they can't all be included in one film, but how about what is feasible as day trips, from where? The Fife and Borders destinations are certainly feasible day trips from Edinburgh, while D&G, Loch Lomond and Arran are from Glasgow....

    @Retrospective.@Retrospective.4 ай бұрын
    • Is there another way to pronounce it? It must be really irritating to have someone pronounce it wrong. I lived in Edzell and the Aberdeen area from 69-70 (attended the local school) and we just loved Scotland. My twin girls are coming with their husbands this year, one in July and one in December. The one in July has never been any farther than England so I know she is really going to enjoy this trip.

      @Reneelwaring@ReneelwaringАй бұрын
    • @@Reneelwaring alot of people don't get the "ch" part, and often pronounce it as "lock", to be fair, they usually aren't from Scotland, and we all know how it should be said, but it's a sound not really found in English, it's in other languages like Dutch, and even Arabic, here, it's the Gaelic influence, that peppers our language. Some nations are fine with it, like the Irish, for obvious reasons, but our American friends can someone make a real pigs ear of it :) I am glad you love Scotland, if you love Scotland, it will love you. Enjoy yer trip! slainte.
