    • @@nurhaidaritonga7282 Okay. The clip of the running iguana ending at 3:08 continues directly to the clip of the running iguana beginning at 3:24. Have the video open in two browser windows if you wish, and compare the rocks and snakes in the background; the clip ending at 3:08 is just zoomed in a bit. In between these two clips, they splice in an iguana getting balled up in snakes and escaping. Can you trust any of the other clips to be the same iguana, or the same chase? I've seen stuff like many times before in modern animal documentaries; for example, check out the video "Fish Vs Bird Blue Planet II BBC Earth". From 5:01 to 5:25, which is supposed to be a bird escaping a fish attack, you can see from the differing spots in three different clips that it is really three different birds. They have what is already impressive footage, but they have to phony it up by stitching them together with a fake extra-exciting narrative for people with short attention spans. Sad. Not a documentary.

The reason a 64 minute B-noir made on a micro budget in 1945 is better than the best eight episode, twelve hour binge mystery thriller on Netflix is Joseph H. Lewis could depend on the audience’s imagination to fill in the holes and leave the film rife with ambiguity. Today’s filmmakers need to turn a ninety-minute concept into a three season bore fest because you dummies have been so inundated with stimuli you have no imagination left. Though I do enjoy the idea that this video would be the example of anti-Hollywood and anti-sophistication... Do you even know how astoundingly complex it is to make a sequence like this in a nature documentary? It makes Christopher Nolan look like a small time independent filmmaker.

This penguin performs great maneuvers to outswim them and we think he is safe when he makes it to land(ice)but it is the wrong piece of land so he has to go back into the seal infested waters. Well he escapes again onto land, but the seal comes onto the land, and unfortunately the land is just a small piece of ice! So the penguin has nowhere to go and the seal slowly drags toward the exhausted penguin... The penguin yells out a battle cry like no battle cry before and the seal simply turns around and leaves the penguin alone.

  • That last jump across the pit that the snake fell into. That felt like a freaking action movie, I was vocally cheating for the lizard. I would not have remained that calm in his position 😭

  • This ,genuinely, took my breath away. The recording on this is phenomenal and ofc Attenborough’s narration makes it even better. I was in awe so many times when i watched this. This is the definition of “nature is metal”.
