EXCLUSIVE: - WIHA SPEEDE II - electricians electric screwdriver - now with more torque!

2024 ж. 4 Мам.
146 060 Рет қаралды

Our first run-in with the Wiha SpeedE electric screwdriver left us underwhelmed; now it's back as Wiha SpeedE II. The boffins back at Wiha HQ, in Germany, have listened and added more torque, speed and light!
Joe Robinson peels back the packaging for a closer look.
The new feature of two torque settings (0.4Nm and 1.0Nm) mean this electricians tool will be useful in more applications.
The SpeedE range is designed to help reduce repetitive strain injuries making it ideal for electricians completing multiple connections in rapid succession - e.g control panel wiring to DIN rail terminals.

  • Good Video Joe , I am sure you will like using the latest speedE ll from wiha , just to mention the LED lights flicker when the batteries are at 20% of charge , also you will note as a safety feature when you move the switch from 0.4 Nm to 1Nm and turn the motor on the lights flicker slightly to warn you that you have the higher torque switches on so you don’t do any damage to small terminals, hope this helps

  • Let’s do a head to head can’t wait. I already have mine on order from Germany using a German supplier but wiha have had issues in supplying it’s been nearly 2.5 months of waiting. I don’t need to carry so many screwdrivers it lightens what you carry. Also the repetitive strain is reduced. Moreover doing up screws is a boon I would have liked an insulated magnetic tip holder attachment that would allow easier holding off screws. Don’t you hate when you drop screws half way up a ladder!!!When you do the review it’s not just about tightening but also about how fast you can loosen screws especially in sockets when you have longer screws and box fill of conductors is pushing against the direction of loosening making it harder to loosen. So please do both tightening and loosening tests.

  • Nice bit overpriced luxury, Personally I think the handife is a better choice, got mine a couple of weeks ago and I can’t fault it I love , it’s ideal for faceplate screws and fixing ceiling rose to the ceiling as well as fitting back box’s. The speedy i or two I like the look of but would I buy one know I would not . And how many people will keep it in that silly fancy box not many , it will go in the toolbag / toolbox with all the other screwdrivers . Fantastic video as always Joe 👍👍❤️

  • As a tool creep I really want to like the speed e (1/2) but could never justify the price for something I’d be too scared to lose or abuse daily. There needs to be more hype about the Wera Turbo. Battery free, Costs a fraction of this and is a normal usable screwdriver until you turn it on. Great informative video regardless and still some very cool kit. Nerd rant over. 🤘🏻

    • I'm late to the party but I have a Wera turbo and don't find its party trick very useful - it's a brilliant and very well-made screwdriver in itself, but I'm yet to find a situation where I want the extra speed AND the torque required is low enough to allow use of the geared mode. I have a serious Wera addiction too, so I really wanted to love it.

Please right a script, or at least reshoot segments if you feel they’re too wordy. There was a period there from about 5:40 to 6:15 where you basically said nothing. It was devoid of any information beyond “let’s look at the technical specs and see what’s new”, but you said that multiple times in like 100 words instead of 10. Makes people turn off the video

  • In my view this is an exceptionally expensive waste of money. It is just an electric screwdriver if you must have an electric screwdriver there are many cheaper and better options. The worst part of the design is the fact that it is a TWO handed operation to use it correctly. The other thing the elephant in the room is the crazy price. Do not be taken in, once it hits the bottom of the tool box you will not go looking for it, just like the other one you bought.
