Wiha Speed E II tool review

I appreciate the tool reviews. I have been a licensed Master Electrician since 1997, and love anything that is going to make my job better. I think this driver would be a wonderful addition to the tool kit of anyone doing panel or termination work. Thanks for taking your valuable time to show this to everyone. I bet with a few spare minutes, you could make up an adaptor for the 1/4 inch bits to fit into the driver. Take Care and Stay Safe Bob

Thank you for your great review. It is the most complete review I found for the SpeedE II. One option I have in mind is the Wiha 41479 easyTorque set for slimBits and slimVario. With these you can use the SpeedE II motor and then finish by hand to match the needed Nm.

no one ever regretted buying a quality tool, I have the same set of combo wrenches & sockets that I bought from snap-on 45 years ago, still use them almost every day.

I feel your pain from many years of that same kind of work. A good tool like that can keep you going pain free for years to come. The game changer for me was getting a cordless terminal crimper. Even when I was young and dumb, I figured out the pneumatic rivet gun was the way to go, too.

My favorite Wiha offering is their #75965 Master set of System 4 screwdriver bits. I have quite the collection of sets like this from Chapman, Moody, Wadsworth (WFMC), and Wera, as well as others, but this is probably my favorite, especially for electronics.

They also make a set of torque limiting clutches to go with that tool.

Stan, If you knew someone that had some machining equipment they could turn an extension for your Wiha power screwdriver. :-)

I love Wiha tools. I have the manual insulated screwdrivers and they are perfect. I also use the 4mm screwdriver bits quite a bit on electronics with conductive handles for ESD protection. Wiha is short for "Willi Hahn" the orginal 1939 name. The electric screwdriver is new and out of stock right now or I would jump on it.

Wiha (pr. vee- ha). Stands for Willi Hahn. The little box is called a Systainer, which is a common container produced in Europe, used by a number of companies such as Festool & Bosch. Pretty handy

The boxes are the L box type, many companies use them. Mainly Bosh.

Not very long ago I spent $400 + for one of their master torque driver sets. They redesigned the handle (4-5 times now) on the special tool that is needed for setting your desired torque on the drivers. The problem is they never redesigned the cutout in the carry case that is supposed to hold this tool, and the newer tool doesn't fit in. I have to squash it down on top of the foam which keeps the case from closing properly. I contacted Wiha USA about getting a replacement insert for the case and they just blew me off. I used to like their stuff, but their customer 'service' has now soured me on the company. After paying that much cash for basically what amounts to 3 screwdrivers and a set of bits I would expect ALL the tools to fit in the case.

Well, I don't see the problem with your problem, you can just switch from the inch system to the metric system. Remember we in the metric countries have exactly the same problem with your inch system, and you don't hear us complaint. After all, the world consists of systems other than the American systems.

I bought a set of regular Wiha screw drivers. Best buy going. I've had SK Snap on, Proto, Crapsmasm, Xelite These are the best ever

I have this tool and I can say, its not the best for service calls/work on worn down screwheads. This just wears down your bitheads and they are not cheap, and special made to Wiha only. This tool is perfect for new builds or any new material with new screws😎😎

Would love to see your thoughts down the road with more use! I see one at the wholesalers.... I'm tempted. Even the fact that in residential finishing I could use that instead of lugging around a drill.... Would be lighter altogether.... Anything to gain efficiency for the sake of saving some grunt work, I think pays off in the long run in wear and tear of our bodies.

I started a career in plc electrical wiring. I am a month in and I must say, they must use the cheapest screws possible in some of those panel mounted devices. I've stripped 3 so far 😅. I'm hoping this tool will serve me well.

I use precision Wiha screwdrivers and they work great. Not sure how I would like the finger twist control guess you get used to it.

Can you use a nut driver bit with it?

I'm sure their intent was to keep you from using the wrong bits in the driver. Now I'm gonna look to see if they have one for electronics with the small screws.

Thinking of buying this, obviously it would be great for landing wires, but how strong is it. Could I use this in place of a impact for zip it's, sheet rock screws or similar?

What??? You said Robertson driver. Have you ever spent time in Canada? Down here I have only ever heard them called Square drive. In Canada we call them Robertson and those are the majority of the screws you can buy. Now I have to ask. Have you ever used Marr wire nuts (anti vibration)? They where all I ever used In Canada and I loved them. Can't seem to ever find them down here in stores.

So, either they want to make sure you don’t use uninsulated tips with this, which is why 1/4” hex doesn’t fit. Or, they just want you buying their own tips, which I’m sure are expensive. But admittedly, this looks interesting. If it were useful for anything else other than this specific work, because of the very limited power of the unit, I would buy it. Unlike Stan, I don’t do that much panel work. But maybe for any small item. Hmm. How much is this?

I'm pretty sure that was a safety measure for goofheads trynna wire a panel with their screwdriver and a non insulated bit in it. I smell lawsuits.

Incompatible tips that's a show stopper so is the $300+ price tag. That's a very nice box that will be set aside immediately. Nice they gave you a $3 bonus battery. How do you drive a socket from a 6mm hex? Dremel makes a great little electric screwdriver for less than $30. It is 1/4 hex drive so everything fits. We use them in a production environment every day. They have adjustable torque and an 18650 cell in them which is twice the size in the Wiha. Gotta love the Fischer Price color scheme. German's pronounce the "W" as a "V" like Viha

I have said many times on many channels this tool is a ripoff, it is a hugely expensive battery powered screwdriver. There are many cheaper and better powered screwdrivers, DON`T BUY IT
