I cant say who he truly is but he’s the Savior of my Life. This time last year i was going through my own battle of suffering in this Life with depression and anxiety to the extreme and at the worse time, i just happened to come across a Shi Heng Yi video and he literally saved me. The knowledge and seeds he’s planted in my mind I think was a Message from The Universe and it couldn’t have came into my Life at a better time. He introduced me to Buddhism and now im studying it along with meditation so i can pass it down to my Child and Others bc what I’ve learned from him is a Blessing from Gods✨✨✨🤲🏾🤲🏾 Forever In Debt to this Righteous Man. I first saw this beautiful human being a year ago on KZhead showing yi jin jing..I was so taken with the peacefulness and grace of his movements. I then started looking into him and listening to him. I'm 64 years old from Scotland and suffer bad anxiety. This man gave me peace in my soul..i will never be able physically to go to a Temple retreat as my body would not allow it, but I hope to go to one of the family days and to meet this beautiful soul.. I am forever grateful for his teachings and his calmness..its nice to see the man behind the monk..thank you Shifu Shi Heng Yi 🙏

I watched him for the first time 3 days after a horrible break up that only got worse over time. I was Falling apart. But there He was on KZhead, the Video called "super human". I wasnt talking Almost all day but I said click that to the Person I was watching TV with. I watched the whole thing and I felt my Mind shifting. My body and soul and mind aligned again. I wasnt fully healed, thats impossible, but He unbroke some Part of my heart that felt I couldn't survive this. THANK YOU

I think what made him so famous is his generosity in sharing his knowledge and teachings during the covid times in confinment when needed the most. It was a good idea to introduce the other members of the conmunity.

I am making a comeback by watching him. The only person on the planet that gets me is this monk out of nowhere with the best advice I have herd. I recently started walking again from a long series of illnesses and I have regained my balance from trying to follow along with his fluid movements so beautiful. most people don't know the joy that watching these videos have brought me. Inner piece is hard to achieve when you have never had it but he makes it seem matter of fact. I love him so much God bless him and keep up the great works thru him I have found my inner self a bit better. I want to go visit I'm deeply compelled to learn more.
Watched his interviews, then started doing his morning trainings. It has only been one month but my body and mind feel totally different. I can focus now on my creative work in a way I never could before. My old sports injuries have stopped hurting and my old flexibility and balance are coming back. I sleep better at night, which is huge. No matter how old you are, just do the trainings. Don't even worry about the intensity, just focus on form and breathing. Breathing correctly is your body's biggest source of detoxification. Find one hour a day, then a second one.
This is called Yoga. You can do Yoga without hurting yourself and without following self proclaimed shaolin masters. Official shaolins warned off shi heng yi long time ago, he is no shaolin but proceeds to let people in this believe. Shaolin is something completly different. Go follow shi heng yi but keep in mind, this is not shaolin.

@@palek555 I mean thaf you will have to find out yourself. Shi Heng Yi teaches some weird egoistic type of psychology mix that has nothing to do with zen or buddhism. Yet he sells it as such and himself as a mastsr, even though he never got any shaolin training. Actually, thats not true. After 10 years of actively lying, he did the first pin in the duan pin warrior monk system. That officialy gives him the state of a student.

Having the teachings of this 'Warrior Monk' in my life when I was at my lowest moment gave me the strength to come back and start living once again. Am grateful for his grace and humanity.

He is no monk nor is he a master. His teachings are not shaolin. He got warned off by official shaolins long time ago. Big scandal. Falsely claiming to be a part of official shaolin and training in that matter. Real shaolin is something different. Educate yourself. After all these scandals, official shaolin tried to invert the temple otterberg into official shaolin (since law suits and talkings have failed) and newly introduced the duan pin warrior monk system. Shi Heng Yi, first time in his life, did a offical shaolin training, he is now offcially a student. (No Monk no master). If you want real warrior monk training, go to a official temple, they have trade marks only they can use. I think it was a 3 parted monk. Educate yourself. Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏

It doesn't matter "whose it is" his message is authentic, his practice effective. He shares his teachings with everyone with great generosity. It doesn't matter "whose it is", but the great wisdom that enlightens those who listen to him and practice with him
@@rossellarossi1 I mean overall you have a point there, of course everyone is free to act as a motivtational trainer, no problem with that. The problem occurs when Shi Heng Yi actively lies about being a part of Shaolin buddhism and proclaims him being a master and training students in official matter to the point where the offial shaolin henan (you can see my youtube short video for proof + reddit thread to all the backstory) have to send a warning letter for them to stop. (This being also in the german newspapers around 2008) Shi Heng Yi is by far not authentic and him speaking in the name of "chan" is an imposition and an insult to every real buddhist practicioner. With his unclear speech (while he self now states between the lines not being a shaolin nor monk nor master) he still often times plays such, tricking many to believe he is one. I am just here to make sure you know, Shi Heng Yi has nothing to do with buddhism or shaolin nor did he understand it. Like I said, he recently did the first pin in the warrior monk duan pin system, so he is an beginner student regarding shaolin kung fu. Amithaba
You know the truth when you see it. You know what’s good and wholesome when you see and hear it. Any bad things said about Master Shi Heng Yi will fall away. The truth speaks for itself. Much gratitude to him.
Congratulations ! You are walking in the Light. BUT A lot of people are unenlightened, they don't want to be. They are like vampires: blood thirsty and afraid of light. They will criticize but not offer anything constructive. The will be staying in the darkness with their own kind as the other Wisdom says: "birds of the same feather stick together" (they don't like other birds). BTW in 2008 I published a book "Wisdom of the Sages and ordinary folks from around the world" but who cares about Wisdom ?
Thank you Mulligan Brothers for such a beautiful documentary and letting Master Shi Heng Yi narrate his own story so we get to know who he is, first hand. I can not wrap my head around people who feel threatened by his wisdom and knowledge. I continue to return back to your channel each day to see what new lessons I can learn from Master Shi Heng Yi. The fact that he's invested his whole life and chosen to continue to spread and live out the Shaolin truth says so much about his divinity and self mastery. I am grateful for all his teachings and wish for many blessings and abundance for the Shaolin Temple.
I first discovered him in late 2020 and since then I've been following his teachings. His message is simple and beautiful. As he says, I have a few teachers who all share the same basic truths just in slightly different ways or from different viewpoints. He is a genuine soul being generous with his knowledge and time, and I am so grateful that he does what he does. I hope to enroll in the self mastery course later this year when funds allow. Thank you to the Mulligans for making this documentary and giving him and the Shaolin Temple Europe a platform for their message.

I like what Shi Heng Yi is saying. Being Taiwanese-American and growing up in the US, Buddhism was always present in my house. As I grew up, I realized that many of the teachings are ignored by chinese today. Chinese in the mainland and around the world have forgotten a lot of wisdom in the teachings and western imperialism rules our world. As I learned more about chinese history, there has always been tension between Buddhism, Confucianism and imperialism. Movies have glorified the martial arts aspects of Buddhism, but the real treasure is the wisdom. The martial arts is one way to self knowledge and wisdom, but there are many roads to get there.
Western imperialsim? You mean Communism right? Under the oppression of the CCP, Shaolin Temple is now run like a profit-seeking corporation, Kung Fu has been beaten down to nothing more than choreography, all things traditional have been wiped out for being too feudal and useless, even the written language has become an ugly mess. Now Japan, under the evil Western Imperialism that you speak of, is admired for all things its history offers.

I've been struggling with depression for many many many years, I came across your video one morning at 3 a.m. when I couldn't sleep and it has helped me tremendously on how I view the world and myself! Sometimes the universe leads us in the direction where we need to be at the right time. I'm thankful to have stumbled upon this man. With countless things going on in my life both phsicycaly and mentally almost unbearable. There's a sense of calmness, peace, gratitude, strength and hope whenever im listening. I need this! Being from India, I'm feeling so happy to know about Buddha and bodhi dharma (Damo). Anyways I'm in love with his teachings, it came in right time when I need as I'm currently going through very hard phase in my life, single mom, financial crisis, smoking too much to ease the pain. I'm trying to quit smoking now
Hi hopefully you are off tobacco if still wanting to quit then the Native Americans gave us tobacco and ALSO had a cure to quit. I personally have seen my former step Dad use it successfully. Mullein pairs perfectly with Tobacco because of its gentle ability to soothe a cough. It features a smooth smoke that removes the harshness of the Tobacco. This can be a great trick for weaning off Tobacco over time. Start with a 50 /50 mix of American Spirit Tobacco and Mullein, then gradually reduce the amount of Tobacco down to zero. Good luck!

I have been out of shape and "lost" about my purpose in life for quite some time. I struggled to sleep, eat, even think. But just listening to Master Shi Heng Yi teachings made me feel that I'm not alone, and I can manifest my will. I started to enjoy the feeling of eating again, with the due gratefulness, I can sleep purposely and I'm motivated as I think about how and what I wish to manifest in the physical as spiritual life I've been given. Like Lisa Gutierrez mentioned below, I am not young - just turned 71 years old. In the fall of 2020, the title of Shi Heng Yi's TED talk caught my attention: "Self-mastery" - yeah, I thought, that's the whole point, isn't it! So I watched the video, and then curious about this man whom I had not heard of before, I googled his name and found his lovely demonstration of the BA Duan Jin in the snow. I was enthralled. If I can compare his performance of the BA Duan JIn to say - the martial arts, for example - I can say that I had never seen any form, or even a dance routine, or whatever, demonstrated with so much soul. I began to learn the BA Duan Jin from that video and I continue to practice it (along some of the other Shaolin and Daoist physicality practices) to this day. The Shaolin Temple Europe information that that TED talk led me to, has been more transformational to me than anything else in my life - I would have to write an entire book to show how important this has been to me. I dabbled in martial arts throughout my adult life, but I never learned the "art of commitment" until I met up with the influence of Shi Heng Yi. May I repay this debt I owe him with abundance.
Hi Frances I am 64 years old and love his practice of Ba Duan Jing..I learned from him and practiced it most mornings..it has helped me so much..I have anxiety and it helped calm me..I have fallen away from it and feel my anxiety rising, just proves you have to keep going with the practices and not procrastinate.. you just reminded me I have to get back into the practice of it..I loved his Ted X talk on the 5 hindrances, so inspiring
@@anneford3088 Hi Anne. Thank you for getting in touch. I want to share a technique with you that might be helpful for staying on track with your practices. I learned this actually from a program to help me address my issues in dealing with money, chronic debt, etc) Here is the context: the coach recommends that those of us who have these financial issues start tracking our expenditures. And she says that that "little voice" (you know, the one that always protests and complains and makes excuses and begs to eat a candy bar when we are trying to do what's right for ourselves!!) starts to whine with "That's too much trouble, it's boring, I don't have time to do that today" - whatever, just answer back politely in your thoughts, "Thank you for sharing". And then go ahead and take the action that is healthy for you! It's amazing. I apply that technique in a lot of circumstances to help me make the - shall we say - "grownup" choice. You might want to try it next time your inner "Whiner" starts complaining, "No, I don't want to do the BA Duan Jin right now. I wanna watch TV " - or whatever the excuse is. Also, to me, this fits in well with the concept of Maitri, as explained by the Buddhist nun, Pema Chodron - learning to be an Unconditional Friend to ones own self. Personally, I believe that learning to render true compassion to others STARTS with rendering true compassion to ones self - like in an airplane emergency - put the oxygen mask on yourself first before you try to help others. And, like Shifu Shi Heng Yi always tells us -- the PHYSICAL practice is essential. Best wishes to you on your path of self-discovery, Anne.
Hi Frances, thankyou for your kind advice my friend. Today I put it into practice and ignored my inner whiner and did Ba Duan Jing. I have a lot of overwhelming family stress going on at the moment, but as Shi Heng Yi says "when you don't want to practice, do it anyway" and I did..I feel better for it in myself. I am sure with daily practice I will be able to cope more with what life throws at us..again I thank you 🙏

Buddhist Nuns do exist (like the American born Pema Chodron who is a Tibet Buddhist abbess in Nova Scotia), and if you watch the videos, you will see women who participate in the training programs at the monastery. If I felt I were called to be Buddhist nun, then I would contact the abbot at Shaolin Temple Europe to get more information. I don't though.

The Ted x talk introduced me to master Shi Heng Yi. Ever since, I have followed him. It's been about 3 years now. My dream is to visit the Shaolin temple Europe in 2024 when I have made the proper arrangements. Thank you, Mulligan Bros and master Shi, for all these opportunities.
Such a genuine sharing of Sifu Shi Heng Yi‘s journey! It is incredible to see that he is just like all of us who have challenges and pressure to overcome. I am always grateful for his generosity of sharing the Shaolin teaching both physically and philosophically. From this video, he has clearly conveyed that the Shaolin teaching is much bigger than himself. i suspect some people might have criticized him promoting it as a business, which has led to his clarification. In reality, there is no way one can promote anything without financial resources. This is the same for all non-profit organizations or reiligious groups. It is simply not possible. As long as the ’recipients’ of the business or the organization receive the benefits that are intended for, who really cares. We all need to assess and think for ourselves. I am not sure the reason for making this video. At the end, it has further bolstered my trust in Master Shi Heng Yi‘s teaching. For that, I am grateful and sincerely thank the Mulligan Brothers and Sifu Shi Heng Yi.

I am 68 years old and will do this for the rest of my life because I found your Shaolin Temple on KZhead. I had done Isshin Ryu at the age of 40 for about five years in the 1980's but so happy to return to the path again.
Been recovering from Covid pneumonia acute respiratory failure hypoxia, arterial blood draw result was respiration was 87 with 100% oxygen in my nose/30 litters face mask/PO2 ability to produce oxygen was 47. Over 35 days in bed and when I went to rehab it took two people to hold me up. 14 months later I can walk 60-90 minutes/1,253 miles on my stationary exercise bike in 11 months. Master Shi Heng Yi by listening to your talks my life came together because 24/7 I could not except what happened to me and blamed myself. These talks I learned how to "Let go" and except the damage to my lungs and permanent loss of memory do to lack of oxygen. 16 months of recovery and I am working every day to improve my mental and physical health. Thank you for these lecture series and I listen to them when I walk via headphones.

I had pneumonia 3 times in a 7 month period post covid. The 3rd time I was diagnosed with Sepsis, I had a very high fever, and it spread into a UTI, which is rare for males. I stayed in the hospital for a week, and while I was there, they discovered a dark mass in one of my lungs. It still feels like I only get 60% of a full breath. I use my inhaler and can only do a partial pump instead of 2. I really want to get past this. I've been drinking alcohol regularly and want to stop and find happiness. I'm grateful for videos like this. It gives me motivation. I wish I could afford a trip to see this man, but I'm happy to watch him on KZhead for now.

Bringing the teachings to the other side of the world is the best mission someone could be doing. I have the feeling I am living the exact same path and storyline than him as if we know each other from thousands years. Same exact story but different cast, place and manifestation. Knowing than we are massively preparing for the next step of humans evolution… from Homo Sapiens Sapiens we are obviously moving to Homo Sapiens Mindus (as my son is proposing hahaha) to fully take back our full potential and leave behind the materialistic way of approaching matters. The field of unified sciences has begun again and master Shi Heng Yi is giving us a starting point: how to reconnect mind body to reach the willpower. We should protect people like him and protect his teachings because world around is people around us are more and more disconected. His teachings resonate so much with the teachings from my teacher - who was taught by Shaolin at a very young age. Listening on social media to him has helped me a lot to grow past the physical restrictions with being in a wheelchair and other health challenges. In my heart I have the deep wish to one day visit the Shaolin Temple.

He has been a part of my life in my hardest year and finally got me so excited about getting disciplined that I've decided to take care of my body so that it's more sleek and stronger than it ever was. I've never been into sports and now I think it's perhaps they are all so boring... But his teachings are not, they stimulate the mind, which I love so much. I'm very grateful he has opened my next level of being for me and I'm starting 2024 with becoming more disciplined as a goal. ♥
Finally there is Light Shi Zheng Yi was brought to us to give us light that is his life purpose. In a world full of Darkness and Darkness has sep to the generation following us. To save them that want to be saved and shift mindsets, that don’t serve and or hurt others. Many our lost in the mind to say the lest. It’s Pandemic World Wide Now by the dept of psychiatry.
