  • People really underestimate how much a child or an adult can be attached to a stuffed animal. Especially one that they have had for a long time. Stuffed animals are also very crucial for many people with certain mental disabilities because it is a companionship without that social interaction and pressure with people. It all comes from love and love should be appreciated!

    • Same here I have mild Autism, and while I'm not as into toys the way that others who are like myself (but I'm somewhat) I have strong attachment to my stuff. So strong that if I mistakenly damage one of my books, I hate the idea of simply tossing it out in favor of a new copy. Thus I always say... 'Mending is better than Ending' rather than the other saying 'Ending is better than Mending'. I have, from time to chosen to fix my books, by going online, then I'll look for what ever page(s) I need to replace, then I'll order a card(s) from Moonpig with the page(s) on it/them and then hey presto I've got my pages back! Then I'll get myself a plastic wallet put that said card inside it, then I stick the edge of the plastic wallet onto the spine of the book (on the outside) in such a way that it acts as an extra 'page' or 'cover' to said book, plus I'll sometimes attach a note stating which page that it is supposed to replace, just so that I know that whenever I read my book in the future I'll know that I'll need to briefly 'skip' over to the back of the book, just for that page, then I'll 'skip' back to where I was before and then I'll continue reading from that point onward. and then.... I've repaired my book. YAY

  • You people are doing the most emotional help to people like me. I deeply appreciate your work and feelings. Although some people may find it stupid to have emotions with stuffed toys and the kind of rescuing you're doing....but only stuffed toys lovers can understand the important place these soft buddies have in our life. Your work and understanding made me feel the goodness of this world.🥰🥰🥰

    • You can cut off that burnt part and sew on a 'replacement' using similar material with similar colour. I'm not sure how your toy looks like or which part is burnt, but if it's like on the leg or arm of a stuffed animal i.e. teddy bear then maybe you just cover and sew over the burnt part with another layer of material like a 'sock' or 'glove' (no cutting needed). Just my suggestion If it's hard to find similar material to replace, then the second method might work better because you can just use other fabrics to cover up the burnt part
