The Natsumi Clinic in the Japanese capital Tokyo fixes about 100 stuffed toys every month. Owners who just cannot bring themselves to throw away their childhood companions turn to clinic founder Natsumi Hakozaki who is able to breathe new life into well-loved stuffed toys using needle and thread, as well as spas with a special soap. The clinic, with six “doctors” on staff, is one of only two stuffed toy repairers in Japan. Yui Kato, who recently went to the clinic with a plush sheep doll she has had for 18 years, said she paid about 100,000 yen (US$959) to fix her treasured toy, but insisted that keeping her childhood memories alive was more important than money.

It doesn't make sense to disrespect it since we were all children once and being a child is one of those stages that shapes us as adults. I ran into a salesperson he seemed genuinely excited oh, and was talking about how great it is when people bring their all stuffed animals into the store. They told me that if somebody bought their old Build-A-Bear into one of their stores, they would do cleaning and repairs for free. I'm not sure if this is still the case that you should definitely check it out.
