go support griffin his music slaps
/ the-adventure-zone-eth...
the only other upload of the theme was kinda choppy so here is a version taken straight from the Soundcloud for my own and others enjoyment. i own nothing here!
• How it feels when the ...
Can't believe how long it took me to realize that this is an electronic Clair de Lune remix. Griffin is such a genius.
You're not wrong. It also reminds me *just a little bit* of Ohyoo Youth, which was used as the end credits for Car Boys.
This blew my mind
Holy shit you’re right
ahh that explains why it's triggering some deep seated brain juice for me!! it is probably my favorite theme Griffin's done
How can Griffin be so funny AND so good at making music?
i KNOW he got bo burnham scared
It really feels like he's finally come into his own as a composer. It's honestly stunning. The first time I heard this theme, it literally brought a tear to my eye and sent shivers of frisson down my spine. I love his brothers and dad, really I do, but hearing this was like a fresh, icy wind on a hot, muggy day. It was like coming home. Like opening the door and watching magic come back into the world.
Magic
@@faultyantivirus Griffin is such an amazing composer; I still get chills from the Amnesty theme.
Yeah leave SOME women for rest of us on god
I genuinely think this song would not have the same emotional tone without those descending notes. You know the ones. "Bwamp bwamp bwamp bwaaa!" Like, everything else in this song is so happy, so mysterious and exciting. And yet those notes, they remind you this is a tragedy. This is a post apocalyptic story. The world is gone. Billions dead. Entire ecosystems extinct. All because of human failure. If anything this evokes the feeling of living with regret. That every day is a new adventure, even if there's still a sting of pain in your heart. I'd genuinely love to see a musical theory expert break this song down. I haven't listened to Taz in years and yet this song just blows my mind and makes me want to start again
sounds like a ship going down. like a submarines engines failing
With the land swallowed up, consumed by massive waves from the arrival of the structure, a new home awaits those that venture into..the Ethersea
@@maltin5When Kingdoms fall... the sea provides... a home for all... beneath the tides. BWAM BAH BAAAAAAAAAAAH Bah ba BAAAM BAAAAAAM (fweep fweep fweep fweep)
This song has a weirdly melancholic and almost sort of... pleading and nostalgic vibe? Like it has this feeling of loss almost, on top of sounding adventurous. I like it a lot
Goes well with the theme of the arc actually Our heroes go on adventures in a world, where in the back of a lot of people's mind is the place above the tides, that was lost forever
It took me forever to realize, but it's Claire di Lune!
best description of the vibe
This song FEELS like an underwater adventure but I have no idea how to explain how
KELA SAI, GUPPIES! *MAMA'S HOME*
Who gave Griffin permission to go this hard on the music
In the sweet baby brother fashion he asked for no one’s permission.
How is this song such a banger. The best adventure zone opening ever. Pure chills
I cannot describe how or why but that tiny moment of silence at around 1:04 is the best part of this. The rest is also so amazing but that short moment of nothing is so good
It really increases the dramatics of the drop. A ship has fallen on them. They got stuck in a dog fight. Someone almosy dies. That hint of silence before the drop is eye of the storm in this peaceful song because most episodes end on a cliffhanger on that drop. It strikes a balance of oh shit whats gonna happen next to characters in contrast to the boys ending on a joke about poopy weiners or something of that degree. All over this peaceful if not melancholy tune.
The BEAT DROP
The anticipation.
It feels like when you dive into water and your hearing cuts out for a second until you adjust
This song gives me pure serotonin, Ethersea is already SO good
brain itcher song
"Griffin, Now she is scared"..
@@terrifiedturnips5038 I recently binged the whole series last week. That line made the hair on the back of my neck stand up.
I almost cry when I listen to this song
Idk why. It feels so somber and resigned but hopeful and playful? It really sounds underwater. Maybe bc of the vibe of the prologue and the fact this only started playing at the end episode V, it just feels so fitting
Agreed Shaggy
This just feels so underwater lol. I dig it.
The sub bits that start at 0:32 are by far my favorite part and I haven't seen anyone mention them so I am
How is every single underwater song such a banger
This is the best TAZ theme by far, and that’s saying something. SO GOOOD
If there is one podcast I don’t skip the theme of it’s definitely this one
this short simple theme song makes me think about LIFE, man
The more I listen to this track the more it sounds like Clair de Lune and I get massive Carboys flash backs.
Thank you! Yes! Exactly!
its a very intentional musical reference to clair de lune
Yeah I wanna say Im sure he sampled Claire De Lune because there are certain parts that sound just like it. Master piece though.
Ohhhhh yeah that is what it sounds like
NO NO NO YOU KNOW WHAT IT SOUNDS LIKE??? THE AQUARIUM BY CAMILLE SAINT-SAENS
The boys have become masters, masters of storytelling, character making, world building, and overall they have become the gods of emotion.
I really want a cut from the last set up episode where Griffin delivers his monologue, and as he finishes it hits the peak of the song.
This is Griffin's masterpiece.
its hard to describe how hard the adventure zone music bangs
What do you get when DeBussy and the Beach Boys do a collab? The theme for a dnd game I guess, smh
Right?? I just keep hearing Clair de Lune.
I have listened to this soon 100+ times. I listen to it after the opening of an episode, i listen to it after the closing of the episode, all the time. Ive never heard something to beautiful and it fits the campaing perfectly!!!!!!!!!
This is what I listen to to astral project
As of now me and a good friend are listening through Ethersea together and dude. In terms of worldbuilding, Ethersea is my ABSOLUTE favorite campaign Every time “DOODADOO” hits in the intro i just have to sing along to it
This season is gonna be amazing!!!
It sounds like something sinking in bittersweet glorious way, I was so shocked when I first heard it and look forward to it every episode
This actually just made me cry
This always reminds me of old BBC comedy scifi shows. I always imagine Hitchhikers guide and Red Dwarf when i hear this. Its a fun nostalgia thing i didnt know i had a fondness for.
I don't know why but this song always gives me chills! I love this Arc so much!!
This shit fucking slaps
the descending notes are SO TASTY
This series wasn’t perfect by any means but I do think it’s the best they’ve done since Balance.
Would love to have seen the brothers & , Rachel's face when he first showed them this. I think I would have cried
I used to listen to Skrillex, and this is still the fattest beat drop I've ever heard
Everyone's talking about the Clair de Lune influence of this, and rightly so (ironic since they can't see the moon but perfect because ocean); HOWEVER, NO ONE HAS MENTIONED HOW VERY JIMMY BUFFET THAT DESCENDING DELAYED TRIPLET SEQUENCE AT 1:21 and 1:44 IS, LIKE THAT PART JUST INSTANTLY HITS ME RIGHT IN MY PARAKEET HEART, And that's what makes this TRULY the BEST underwater theme for me
Please 🙏 put this on Spotify. This theme takes me to my happy place.
who gave griffin permission to make a song this good. like damn pure unadulterated dopamine
The end definitely sounds like a song from Yu-No.
Looped version kzhead.info/sun/Z7Fxp82ta5Wmgac/bejne.html
definitely has Cavestory vibes
Just realized that this song isn't a trap remix of Clair De Lune like it is when I listen to the show on 1.2x speed. =P
I keep hearing Claire de Lune in this
anyone else notice how much this sounds like claire de lune?
This last episode was just devo failing to negotiate a lot and i kind of feel like that episode should've been scrapped but whatever lets hope next one is better
thats not how a story works though. the fun part about trying to negotiate is the possibility of failing a lot. the fact that he kept trying, while frustrating cuz he kept failing, is kinda developing devos character and showing us his tenacity and ironically, devotion
Would be great if it didn’t have all those distortions
Eh, it makes me feel like I’m underwater and I love it!
Are you kidding? The distortions are part of the epic oceany vibe!
@@mephostopheles3752 from 1:04 in the chorus of the theme, there are distortions that were not present in the original. It sounds like distortions that you get from a low bitrate or something
@@leviatkinson1081 I'm certain that's intentional and after doing a listen, it's clearly present in the episodes themselves. It's not an issue with the recording. I think it sounds really great :)
