Me, visably disapointed at the club shouting over the music: I REQUESTED THE PURPLE WORM BY GRIFFIN MCELROY LIKE AN HOUR AGO WHAT DO YOU THINK IS TAKING THEM SO LONG?
The DJ was only up to Crystal Kingdom
I listen to this song all the time and I literally don't go once without remembering this comment and wondering if a club would play this if I requested it.

Was about to like but you’re at 420 so here’s a ~nice~ instead.
Bruh when they brought this music back for the finale it was so good
i know right?! i started listening to taz 2 weeks ago and i was at the gym when this played when the wyrm came back to help and i was just running on the treadmill and smiling the whole time.
I lost my MIND when this started coming up in the background
@@demonsarisingmetal goddamn same Just, to put simply, :0
"I may not be able to control the earth anymore, but I can still talk to it. And we've got friends down there."
Griffin could decimate Shaggy with 1% of his power.
A man you could vore a banana is a man with such will power that with a thought he could tear you from the fabric of existence
Fuckin remember when people cared about that?
Nice seat you have there It'd be a shame if you were only on the edge of it
can't believe i paid for the ticket for the whole seat!
THERE IS A FREAKING GARAGE BAND LOOP IN THIS THIS IS MADE IN GARAGE BAND I CANT EVEN RIGHT NOW
All of the songs except the theme song were made in garageband
How did you expect he made it?
Scratch that some of the songs from the last couple arcs were done by Mort Garson plus some of Johan's songs
Anyone else notice the beginning riffs could be the mama worm and the baby worms? its sounds like a call and response .
easy breezy memey squeezy I always pictured it as the first riff being the big worm moving around the cave and the second riff being Takko’s (or any of their) ear twitch a bit before turning a round to see what’s making the sound. But I like that idea too
@@tommykelly7272 aww taakos ear twitching
The best part of The Adventure Zone was the elimination of the Judges. The Purple Worm taking one down in a manner that reminds me of the Thresher Maw vs. Reaper scene from Mass Effect 3 was the coolest one; just this giant godlike statue with the power to calcify people and level entire civilizations with its hands, getting challenged by a physical manifestation of nature's wrath and losing spectacularly.
Temporal Toast Shut up, You can’t cry about spoilers in a comment section. It’s bound to have some spoilers since this is where you got to talk about the video.
Temporal Toast It’s a comment, How would anyone tell it was a joke?

@@arandomclown5394 lol , I got half of TAZ spoiled, so it’s kinda fair, but yeah, chill dude, sometimes there should be warnings in comments, especially when it’s top, but I guess he didn’t know it would be. In fact I got this spoiled for me
Damn. This boss had me on the edge of my fuckin seat the whole time. Finally something to shake it up. So glad you didn't get killed, Mother Wyrm. You were by far the coolest boss.
It’s a Chase Scene boss pretty much, but it was a Chase scene I would have loved to see in an animated form. This massive monster chasing them through caverns and abandoned mineshafts them trying not to die the whole time. The thing was an absolute beast and it doesn’t get nearly enough attention.

"We're even!"
She said. . . You're even
WHAT? SHE SAID IM STEVEN?
We’ll go with that yes
The Purple Worm is probably my favorite track from Eleventh Hour. The Apocolypse they experienced each loop was the Purple Worm. The chalice let them reset, but The Boys have taken the chalice by this point. That means if they die, if REFUGE dies, it's permanent this time. They aren't going to loop anymore. So this is their one and only chance to stop the Apocolypse. Reminds me of Story and Song, where that's also their one and only chance of stopping the apocolypse. I've said in the past. If Legion is meant to be a mini Hunger, then Eleventh Hour is meant to be a Mini Stolen Century. They have to stop the Apocolypse, and escape the loop.
Ok this is already a great post but fuck the realization that the eleventh hour was a mini stolen century hits more than any twist in the entire podcast
GOOD GOD, GRIFFIN
"And we've got friends down there."
I really liked how the Adventure Zone never really went massive with its Scale. Its not like alot of DnD games where the players could sneeze and kill a Ancient Red Dragon.
To be fair by the Suffering Game the party had so many absurd magical items and abilities between them that they could decimate pretty much anything that came their way, this was held back by two things. 1: Griffin purposely made the campaign non combat centric. 2: they kept forgetting they had them
I mean, they saved not just the multiverse, but every multiverse. That's a pretty big scale
the flaming raging poisoning sword of doom doesnt exactly help with that, either
@@keaton5101 that was pretty much just an accessory for taako for most of the time he had it lmao
@@bobbyh2720 what's funny is that Griffin was legit trying to kill them in the Suffering Game because he had a whole sub-arc planned where they die and go to the Astral plane to help Kravitz escape the Hunger, but they were so strong that they survived the horrible gameshow specifically designed to kill them... Griffin even planted a deus ex machina "kill button" that tried to just straight up send Magnus to the Astral Plane, but Taako and Merle were like "nah, give us our boy back"
the balance OST absolutely SMACKS but the amount of whiplash I get from moments like going from the chalice to purple worm or madame director to fantasy Costco are probably going to take years off my life
_A cry of absolute anguish penetrates the air._
Super underrated track
Gheitz Was that a pun about how they were on a track?
Can't be the only one really sad they forgot about the immovable rod in this fight
The worm is just going and then * thwunk *
But then we wouldn't get the badass scene of taako putting behind him when using whirlwind saying "I'm not going fucking anywhere"
“I reach into my bag and pull out my immovable rod I’m not goin Fuckin anywhere”
Probably the greatest boss fight mainly because of the obvious phases, and usage of the Mine carts, very cool, thank you Griffin
The most pumped I ever felt during an episode
Boy what a roller coaster
It was a minecart, actually.

This is my favorite taz song honestly what a bop
this is not in any way meant to devalue the work Griff did on the soundtrack, but I love going into GarageBand and seeing all the loops he used to make stuff, between this song and wonderland I can think of like 8 arps and 3 rabab loops that I can't use bc my players would recognize them and question me too much (I make music for my rpg sessions!)
1:17 Hey, do you know what a majority vote is?
yeah i do know what a majority vote is

Another song YTTD and TAZ have in common :0 they’re both amazing soundtracks so I’m happy with it
I felt like I was one of the only people who noticed it sometimes so it’s nice to see I’m not alone.

It took exactly the same amount of time for me to read the purple worm fight as it did to listen to the song. I highly recommend having the music on in the background as you are reading.💜
oh worm?
I just finished the adventure zone and I'm so glad I found this song, its probably my favourite in the entire soundtrack!
My dm dumbed down the eleventh hour as my first d&d session for me and my friends to play, I am now officially hooked to d&d
the bass at around 1:31 is so fucking good
i love that i recognize 80% of the garage band loops. he used them really well here this is hype
It’s fitting how this scene is the one where Griffin did the most railroading plotwise
That one dislike is from the purple mother worm
No, it's the one person who thought it was the "download" button ;-)

WHEN THIS MUSIC STARTED PLAYING IN THE FINALE I WAS LIKE *OOOOOH SHIT THAT'S THE PURPLE WOOORM FUCK IT UP GRIFFIN YEEEEEESSSSS*
so i used this song last night during my d&d session for when the party accidentally ended up in a fight with a carrion crawler, and it was SO GOOD. so glad griffin put this into the world.
I love the classic Dr Who vibe this has
Am I the only one how thinks that the part at 1:17 reminds me of a soundtrack from a gans called "Your turn to die"
I think it has some soundtracks from a flash game called Vex in the background
it’s a garageband sample, most of it is even

griffin why can you music so good?
Fun fact: there's a song called Lazer my Flavor (Laser? I don't recall) and it uses a sample of this theme. Either that or two people thought of the same exact tune and notes at completely different times as that song came out in 2018 I believe?
