  • I have survived suicide 4 times. I am 41. I have been fighting my own Nico and the niners since I been 17. In 2015. I spent the. Holidays in a 8 day medically induced coma. After that I fell in love with a man and we used drugs together for two years. I was with this guy from 21 till 23. I am sober and living back with my mom at 41. At least I am off meth alive and safe. I pray for everyone. Especially the ones struggling like I do. I am glad I did not end up a neon grave. Ned led me to the Trench.

  • Despite being different unlike my usual favorites, this song holds a special place in my heart. It resonates with me in a way that is difficult to articulate. However, you have perfectly encapsulated that feeling and affection I have for this piece. Great Essay, really liked the style!

  • I feel blessed to make it to this video. I have attempted suicide multiple times. Even s I spent 8 days in a medically induced coma back in 10-2015. Discovery of this band is most definitely the floating device that got me back to the shore from my own personal sea of anger. Ty for making this amazing video. I thank God for putting this awesome musical journey in my life. Their fan base is beautiful too.

  • Thank you so much for this analysis! As someone who has loved this song since its release, I have been closer to my grandmas(both mom's side and dad's side) and they have taught me so much and still do. I have been struggling with my own healing mental health process since a very young age, and even if I still feel down sometimes, Twenty One Pilots' music and many other artists motivate me to keep going and do more, which even led me to be preparing myself to work in the music industry now. I don't really say it much to anyone but this song specifically represents so much in my personal life, so seeing people like you sharing the impact it has is truly valuable for me, thanks again!

  • Thank you for this analysis! This is one of my favorite songs from Trench and it's truly an experience listening to the song when it first released. Nothing in this song is sugar coated and the message is straight to the point, giving us the opportunity to think about what was said after listening to the song. It's honestly really touching.

  • i dont necessarily think its one of their most powerful songs, i think it really depends on the listener and what the listener is going through or how lyrically congruent the music is to well the listeners life experience, for me kitchen sink or any song on vessel or rab or self titles even blurryface are very powerful to me just because i listened to their music when i went through a very tough time in my life, though someone could make the same argument for this song and the current era or T.O.P and the lore, ngl i liked the older stuff when there wasnt lore or just some deep story line, just tylers feelings yk? i thought the lore was cool in the beginning when the went on hiatus and well the lore i believe started from the fanbase but i could be wrong, maybe it was just tyler experimenting with starting a story line to help with songwriting and the fanbase really rocked with it. basically what im saying is, every song is powerful or deep, just depends what perspective you have on it really or what your life experience has been like. i just disagree with the statement for neon gravestones being their most powerful song as someone whos been listening to them for a decade
