It is good for you that you do not undertstand. Tarasove is definately not good comentator. Actually she is the worst possible. Her comments are usually full of personal preferences as also praises to her former skaters. And pretty much not fair.

​@@alexaz730 Tarasova just often says the truth about skaters and their skating and she doesn't look back to politeness. Of course, not all fans like to hear it. And maybe that's not the best side for a TV commentator, but she isn't an ordinary commentator for sure, is she? She is the coach of 9 Olympic champions in different kinds of figure skating, and in my point of view her oppinion is worth to hear even if it is not as sweet as one wants it to be. And in this video she didn't say any bad word about Nathan, vise versa she called him a genius. So I twice don't understand your pretensions.

@@22.rizkaputriardiana9 He messed in his short Program in Man's individuals getting 10th place (I believe) but he recovered in his free and finished in 4th place (Again, I believe). I highly suggest you to watch it, because his recover was amazing. Sorry for my bad English.

i find that this is a bit "dangerous" though. I dont know how to explain it properly, but some skaters are raising the difficulty too much, introducing too many quads. Before, gold winners had, maybe, one quad. Now at least 2, mostly 3. Now nathan has 4. They are placing the bar too high and it can take a tow.

No. His performance is not as mesmerising as yuzuru's. All he does is flips/salchow/toe loop. If he is able to capture the audience's attention by using more of the artistic part of skating then I will say that he is a full fledged skater. I believe nathan has alot of potential. I even will bet that he will be the FIRST person to do a quintuple flip

It was really magnificent performance ( 323.42 total score ! ) Nathan was better nearly 23 points than second place. What the artistry is ? In figure skating is TCS and PCS with 5 factors. Nathan's PSC was ONLY 1 point behind Yuzu. Nathan really didn't deserve the thumbs down. I'm sure the thumbs gave him dissatisfied fans of another skater. By te way Nathan's skating always captivate me ...

I enjoy his performance a lot, especially when watching it live, it's exhilarating when he lands every difficult jump. Skating is a sport after all, so it's not only about artistry, it's about athleticism. Also, you can't have it both ways. At some point you have to trade-off artistry and athleticism. For example, yuzuru took away all the transitions before his opening quad loop.

Tarasove has done a lot , that is true but also not positive things. She has used her influence to make the life of Natan Chen current coach impossible in Russia and he had to leave and train in USA. And it was not only him but also other talented Russian coaches who has made a competition to her skaters as well. She has mostly unfortunately for the Russian figure skating succeded in her plots with the one exception (Etery Tutberidze, the coach of several women olympic champions. Tarasova has made a lot of troubles to her as well, she left abroad even for some time...)

​@@alexaz730 that's not true. The only thing Tarasova had been doing to disturb other coaches was that she had been calling their skaters to train with her. But she always had a talent to make a star from an ordinary well taught sportsman and many of those who came to train with her truly became famous skaters. And her opponents had been doing the same, and even those ones who nowadays shout about this situation, just they weren't so successful as Tarasova was. And Nathans current coach said not once that the reason he left Russia was the conflict with Piseev who was the head of the Russian Figure Skating Federation, not with Tarasova. Vise versa he had always wanted to be like Tarasova and to stay together with her towards the rinks of the most important competitions. And now his dream came true with Nathan. And Tarasova didn't make a lot of troubles to Tutberidze. Vise versa, Tutberidze has skated in Tarasova's ice shows in Russia after finishing her career. And she left to the USA to skate in shows, not to coach, she got experience in training skaters abroad and then returned to Russia. And noone had disturbed her to became a lead coach in Russia now.

Carlos Castro that rehearsal I believe was the two SP’s at the Olympics. It’s possible because of that experience, he was ready for these two programs ... and thankfully

You are so kind, but Nathan never intended to involve in any drama. He is always so humble, sweet and respectful in his interview, but some fans (you know who I am talking about) can't stop nitpicking. I truly don't think he has every committed any 'error' when dealing with interview questions, it's not his fault when crazy fans take his words out of context.

OMG! Same!!😂 The way Nathan came in as a tough competition for yuzu and got the gold in the finals and yuzu got silver reminds me of the way how yurio captured the gold and Yuri got the silver in Grand Prix. Both of them r amazing ❤️

if you watch yuzu's idol Plushenko (which his program is inspired by) -- kzhead.info/sun/hqmDiM-ehIuKi2w/bejne.html -- you will see that yuzu absolutely failed to capture the performance. it makes yuzu look like a jumper. yuzu is graceful and can do difficult entries, but his step sequence and dancing skills are too stiff. in fact, his step sequence was so stiff it looked like he was just skating around compared to Plushenko's. in fact, my favourite program from yuzu is seimei, which is a stiff one, but is fine because the feel is supposed to be like an ancient ritual. to look good, yuzu needs to do more turns/spins/twists in between jumps to make up for his lack of dancer's movements, like some of his short programs, for example. but his long programs are usually quite dull aside from the jumps (with the exception of seimei, imo).

I think one has to reinvent themselves to keep winning year after year. Same with Yuzuru. This lad Nathan had stronger stage presence and movements but I prefer Yuzu's style more. And yes maybe injuries got in between because I've seen him perform better.

Same. There's a grace and elegance in yuzuru that nathan doesn't have. Nathan on the other hand has some fantastic jumps and is overall a very powerful Figure skater. As a dancer though Yuzuru is more appealing to me. He's just stunning.

@@janzibunz8689 There is 4Lz/3toe, 4Flip, 4Flip/3Toe, each of the 5 quads that exist and 5 clean quads in one program Nathan has, but Yuzu doesn't. And I'm not going to go under Yuzu's video and write about it ...I'm not going to go under Yuzu's video and write that Nathan has the highest rated 4Lz (4.76 GOE) and the highest rated 4Flip (4.40 GOE - 2018 GPF) in figure skating history and 20.33 points for 4Lz/3Toe combination (2017 4CC). And I think Nathan is stunning too...I couldn't write it under another skater video...maybe it would be rude ...

@@mrl6956 well there's a bunch of world record that yuzuru has that Nathan doesn't it but I won't put it down either because like you said it would be rude. Personally to me he's more appealing I won't talk about who's better rn :)

На сайте ффкр давно имеется табличка с градацией оценок за каждый компонент программы и критерии их выставления. Там также есть полезная информация о том каким образом урезаются баллы за тот или иной компонент в случае грубых ошибок/срывов элементов. Вот только некоторые фанатки "божественно компонентного Ханю" не имеют об этом ни малейшего понятия и про себя выставляют те баллы, которые им бы хотелось просто потому что "я так вижу, я так чувствую". Будь их воля, они бы все методички ИСУ давно переписали. И это при том, что в последний сезон правила и так перекрутили в пользу бедных: задвинули один прыжковый элемент, непозволительно расширили шкалу ГОЕ и оставили тот же коэффициент для подсчета компонентов. И дураку понятно, что не в угоду Чену-мультиквадисту такие правила писались, а он пришел и привез второму месту 23 балла даже по нынешней безобразной системе, где ты даже без элемента можешь оказаться на промежуточном третьем месте. Просто смешно наблюдать, как в женском одиночном сейчас вовсю идет борьба за сложность, а в мужском предлагают медали раздавать за бантики и рюши. Привет, Ванкувер-2010.

а как же программы под Принса или Гэри Мура? Еще шикарные показалки под Hello, I love you (The Doors), Vertigo (U2). Юзу умеет быть разным, только вот последнее время как будто не хочет...

Нужно просто признать, что время Ханю вышло. Он легенда. Но легенда 2014-2017 годов. Теперь у него есть соперники которые даже не в затылок дышат,а идут перед ним. Такое бывает, это спорт

Не, он разумеется выиграл, просто это был один из скучнейших ЧМ, всё стало понятно даже до начало соревнований и Ханю убил интригу в короткой и всё! Почему все бесятся на Чена? Скорее не на него, а его контент + образ имеет значение, это зрелищный спорт, а в его прокатах кроме техники и пластики и мимики мало что было видно. Я лично *НИ ХРЕНА НЕ ПОНЯЛА* А женский дивизион, о да там в 1000 раз было интереснее! Жаль Чена, борьбы почти не получилось. Я смотрела с интересом лично на предпоследнюю разминку, а финалистов почти проигнорила

Actually without this commentator, coach Tarasova, will be no King as Natan Chen. His coach has trained in Russia before and Tarasova has used all of her influence to make his life in Russia impossible (scared of competition). And he had to leave to train abroad. His skators could not receive ice and also received lower rates during competition because she has pushed the judges and done other totally disgusting things. Actually she has done this to several talented coaches.

indeed. i can't believe that yuzuru scored higher on presentation than nathan given that yuzuru looked like he was just skating around, since his step sequence is nothing like the original (as in the original's had so much detail and quickness) kzhead.info/sun/hqmDiM-ehIuKi2w/bejne.html it's ironic that nathan had to win via technical points. also ironic is that nathan seems like he is better suited for Plushenko's program instead of yuzuru. yuzuru has difficult entries, but otherwise you can call him graceful or stiff. the only epic long program (my favourite) from yuzuru was Seimei, which is fine since it is like an ancient ritual so yuzuru's style works for it.
