You can tell Edison was evil just by how he styled his eyebrows
Idiot
Never trust the eyebrows bro
Lol mine are curling up too but not as much as his
😆😆😆
Perhaps it was naturally curled??
Robert Hooke Louis le Prince Nikola Tesla Rosalind Franklin Legendary inventors and scientists who never got their due...Never forget their contributions, and also don't forget those wronged them
Like J.P. Morgan and Edison who profited off their inventions. It's was all about Money, as usual.
Haha stop it. The telephone, television and train comes from Britain.
Tesla was the real visionary. Had his ideas been adapted, we could have wireless electricity, cheap high speed transportation and energy with low impact on the environment. If only..
That is backwards thinking, he's not a movie genius that can just do anything. Also, all those things are already in existence, what do you mean by "if only"
People are really vocal about something they don't know they're misinformed and they're still proud of it.
True
@@Wisdom.Phoenix REALLY? Where is any wireless electricity? Edison DID NOT invent movies, nor phonographs either. Edison mostly took credit for other people's work/inventions. He did NOT invent the lightbulb. He invented a better light bulb filament and NOT the light bulb itself. Tesla was a genius. Edison, not even close to genius.
If only? If they were already invented 100+ years ago, why can’t we just use them now??????
You forgot killer in the description. Funny how Louise Le Prince boarded a train to debut his motion picture single lense camera in the United States and mysteriously never made it to his destination. The man who was to give the presentation that would have bankrupted Edison suddenly fell off the face of the earth while Edison took credit for pieces of his invention in the years to come.
As much as Edison was a Dbag, that's still unconfirmed.
You forget to mention that only 2 people saw him even get on the train. It’s a theory, that is possible, though, likely? Eh.. not really
@@Only1Noodle doesn’t take away from the fact Edison still stole his idea, and took all credit for it.
@@somerandomdude4588 well everyone that knew him witnessed(didn’t?) that he disappeared and just wasn’t seen again.
I feel like you shouldn't just declare someone as a murder just because it somewhat makes sense in a hypothetical situation in your head, lol.
Tesla deserved more
He was truly a visionary who was robbed of the chance to change the world
Infinitely more!
So much more! 😔
And Louise de prince
@@viiyaxyz His dream became a reality in the end.
Edison: whippety wine, your invention is MINE!
At least we can credit him with being so controlling and unlikeable that people (small business) went west just to get away from him. Including a lot of cool animation studios
This reminds me of the Drunk History episode. U must watch it, it's hilarious.
As someone who lives in West Orange Nj her entire life and has been to the Edison museum..... DUCK YOU EDISON!!!!!
Buzzfeed just exposing everybody left and right. I love it.
It's not exactly breaking news 😂
this is common knowledge lmao
They need to expose themselves lmao.
So we aren't gonna mention Louis Le Prince?
I was thinking this too😭
No bcuz the vid's about Edison not the camera lol
@@James45429 I think Edison getting a man killed is a pretty important detail when talking about the dark truth~ xD
@@Krystalmyth that's still unconfirmed, don't get me wrong I want to believe that as well, but it's basically a "I can neither confirm nor deny" thing.
@@Only1Noodle What is a fact that Edison had animals killed while trying to discredit Tesla. One being a very healthy elephant.
Louis le Prince deserved better. All I need to say.
Befor i watch this video, i already know that he is a liar and a thief
bob’s burgers really hit the nail in the head with this one
They'll say AWWWWW Topsy at my AUUUUUTOPSY!
Louise really exposed him on that episode!
I was coming here to say allll of this!!
@@iswhosheis BUT no-one will be, MORE SHOCKED THAN ME
Louis Le Prince was the real visionary. I believe Edison send goons to kill and disappear him.
I read in a textbook that Edison was a great grit to great guy and was fond of performing experiments. He sat on a eggs to hatch them and got a beating. The thing about his ear was that he was beaten by a train owner because he spilled some chemicals in one of the bogies of a train. I distinctly remember being under the impression that he was from a poor background. Now that I think back it seems inauthentic and exaggerated.
And can we have that in comprehensible English? Ramblings of an idiot.
He was clever I'll give him that. Enough to fool people, win cases, and steal ideas.
yep. an immoral mastermind
If Edison 'invented' the 3 point seatbelt. He would patent it too.
"They'll say aw Topsy, at my autopsy.." 🐘💡
In before someone tries to cite "The Oatmeal" comic and myths about how "Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla were bitter rivals / enemies, and Edison cheated Tesla". (They weren't, and were actually on more cordial terms than the Internet and Tesla fans would have you believe.) I also highly recommend reading Alex Knapp's 2012 article for Forbes, "Nikola Tesla Wasn't God, And Thomas Edison Wasn't The Devil".
Amber Goldsmith, Tesla was a genius. Edison damn sure was NOT.
It's funny how people criticise him for his crooked business tactics. By today's definition, he is an 'Entrepreneur'
So we stopped criticizing crooked entrepreneurs nowadays?
@@s_ame1135 yeah, society has. “Slay queen, side hustlin entrepreneur” is how people respond to that nowadays
@@aak1992 give me one example of "slay queen" that's as crooked and famous as Thomas Edison?
@@s_ame1135 well uh, does the theranos lady count?
A 'crooked' one
Don’t forget his employee who was experimented on with X-rays who had his arms amputated and later died of cancer. Inventors day indeed.
You mean to say there was a lighter side to his personality?
I knew about him and that i dont think he actually invented anything and would take ownership of the invented product for market gain Edit: i might be wrong but i don't know?
He stole Nikola's ideas
Thomas Edison didn’t just have a dark side….EVERY side of him was dark!
Bobs burgers enlightened me to this year's ago
Sir Narrator you look as awesome as you voice leads one to believe.
"The Dark Side" [Insert Lightbulb Joke]
I think you sped up the voice just a little too much. Otherwise it was great, as usual.
Thomas Edison is to Nikola Tesla, as a block of granite is to a vein of pure gold. Any comparison is an absolute insult to the memory of Tesla.
"Dark Side?!?" That implies that this crappy guy had a good side. From everything I've heard he really didn't.
American code before real Morse code was created. My grandfather used American code while working for the Pennsylvania railroad around 1900.
Ello from the Philippines!
The sentiment of having to light up your lamp in order to read your book at night. Damn you Edison
Westinghouse had a quality that Edison lacked, humility.
...and real unsung hero behind many groundbreaking inventions (Nikola Tesla)...
The vulture
Lewis Howard Latimer invented the light bulb as we know it.
“There’s no original idea around.”Spoken like a true patent thief
I was just talking about this fake fool.
Why Thomas Alba got strong & broken English accent and some people said he sound better when he spoke Español.
Here's something almost unknown. He was born in Mexico and he stole many ideas from Mexican Inventor Francisco Javier Estrada Murguía.
“Inventor”
Edison *only* had a dark side
i miss buzzfeed unsolved :/
Have you checked out ghost files yet?
It's still BuzzFeed Unsolved. If you just miss Ryan and Shane, then go check out Watcher.
Black Ma-RYE-a you dope...not Black Ma-REE-a
I think he was dark both sides
Good to hear this but why are you talking so fast didn't enjoy it as much as the videos you have posted
Was Thomas Edison not friends with Benjamin Franklin?? My brotha died in 1931 there's no way
If you mention Topsy, just FYI, Edison wasn't there when Topsy was electrocuted.
Only1Noodle, Edison hired other people to do it for him, PUTZ.
why are we so bad to eachother
bro I go to a school by his name...

Nikola Tesla
The darkside of Thomas Edison is his armpit. You're welcome
Thanks for the seizure
Good video, but the narrator talks a bit too quickly. This comment is coming from someone who routinely speeds up slow talking videos.
Hes right, ya dorks. NOT agreeing with "stealing credit", but MOST IDEAS are built off of other ideas. Thats literally how we advance as a species...But try to make that sound like a bad thing for the video.
Yo
Topsey the elephant
Tesla Forever
Ohio, no wonder
Thomas Edison stole parents he didn’t do sht

So he’s pretty much a thief that’s what I get out of it. 🧐😒

Dude, this isn't even an unsolved ep, shut up.
Get over it
edison look like fat baster from monster in ep 1
He took their ideas, analyzed them to see why they were unsuccessful, and then worked on improving them.
Wow! Nice smear video! Let's look for any fault on the man and try to make him look evil. Wasn't a good family man (horrors! let's cancel him!). Not to excuse him, but in reality history if full of figures that neglected their families. Marrying younger women? That was the norm in those days. Why even mention this? Just to make him out to be a creep. Heck, he even said that his inventions were really an extension of all the other work that came before him, just like Steve Jobs or any other modern inventor. Did you not hear him? Suing and copying others? How dare he! Of course, that's usually the norm in today's business; it may be dirty, but it's the reality that has brought us all these wonderful products. You may imply evil, others may see business savvy and craft. Let's see...what has the video producer done other than post a smear video? The fact that other folks invented things before him does not take away from the good lessons that we can learn from Edison.
