  • A smile on my face, after spending time with you!!! You put us to shame. I grew up much differently than how I live, today! We canned venison, baked white yeast bread. Made our own home made cakes!!!! Fudge, peanut brittle, devinity, taffy. At one point my sister added red food coloring to a white Crisco like substance to make it look.like butter. We did drink whole milk but it was delivered by my Dad who worked at the town creamery. We didn't have to milk the cow!!! We did raise chickens they provided eggs and later Sunday fried chicken dinner!!! I use most of modern convinces, but remember and miss the "old" ways. We also tended a wood and then coal burning stove to heat and cook on. We hauled water only to bathe and do laundry. We had a hand pump in our kitchen. I admire you so much. We all could live a different life and still be happy. You looked lovely in your green dress, today. Your smile, at the end of the video, is priceless. But you should smile you've done an amazing job!!! Thank you!!!❤

  • Great job Maria. I love watching your videos and the techniques that you put in and so much love in your cooking. You show people that you don't need all the things that we use here in this country. I just love your Technique and love to watch you do things that are so simple. Some recipes that you do are very hard. I really don't think I could do those kinds of recipes especially since we don't can our meat. I am just learning that technique.
