Made in abyss is a masterpiece of a show and the osts make it a million times better, underground river at the start of episode one was perfectly done, even osts that aren’t as blunt set the mood and sold me (The pit, tomorrow)

I feel like an idiot for passing on Made in Abyss because it looked childish to me at the time. It wasn't until last year that I saw and realized how highly regarded it is unlike my original impression, so I jumped in. Started with the anime adaptation. I do not exaggerate nor lie when I say this. When episode 1 finished and it panned out over the city, hearing the music, the plot is set up, at that moment something hit me, a feeling that I rarely get yet never fails, not a feeling- more like an instinct... It kicked in my head: "This is gonna be good". Shortly after it became one of my favorite STORIES of all time, the adaptation is masterful, and the OST by Kevin Penkin even better. A story that feels like a true adventure, the kind of story that we get to experience every once in a while... That is Made in Abyss. Beautiful perfection.
I first found Penkin through Made in Abyss, which is my favorite anime/tv series of all time... when I found out that he had done the music for Shield Hero I broke down and binged it in one night... when presented an assignment in a music class where we had to essentially rewrite a piece of music that someone had made, I chose something from Penkin... I would say a lot of what I do, how I do it and what I experience is thanks to this man's beautiful music. If I'm ever writing an assignment, grinding in a game, or reading a book I will almost always listen to Penkin. Thank you for making this mix, as I tend to use it the most, I'm hoping you make another mix when Nostos is out; it would be cool to hear even more music added from his repertoire!

When underground river was played in the start of made in abyss, in 44:21 i just get the goosebumps as they show the massive hole of the abyss love this show!
If I remember correctly, it didn’t should the entire hole. It mostly showed the massive city surrounding the hole.
They Played Hanezeve at the Sunrise and Reveal city of Orth.
When I die and if there would be a condition, that I can take to listen only one artist for eternity - that would be Penkin, for sure.

God, i cannot wait for Made in Abyss s2 and Shield Hero s2. No matter what storm this man cooks up, it's gonna sound great, and i'm excited. I never really thought about ever having a favorite music artist until my man Penkin arrived on the scene, and thus, he has taken my spot for favorite composer/music artist. Great man, great jams, great times.

@@historia7839 Penkin IMO is clearly better than Sawano. Every single one of Penkin's songs has a unique, vibrant life to them, while Sawano's songs feel somewhat mass produced after listening to enough of them, as they all seem to share the same fundamental essence. Sawano's music consistently makes you feel powerful, but that's about it. Penkin's wide range of songs, on the other hand, capture curiosity, wonder, catharsis, hope, energy, uneasiness, serenity, and something that can only be described as enchantment of the heart.

Hahaha thats cool if u feel that way but yeah personally i feel like they're style/approaches are quite diff so kinda hard to compare - I defs agree that Hirokyuki Sawano hasnt shown much versatility (But i have played xenoblade chronicles and he has some really nice toned down ones in there esp with the region tracks) but I dont think ive heard anything as dramatic/powerful from Penkin - i both love the way they use bass and synths tho really nice :) - then again music is what u make of it so if u love Penkin more that's cool :) (personally im in the same boat HAHAHA)

If you can find it on KZhead, there's hundreds of sites that can download the video in mp3. Make sure you get one that gives you 320kbps as that is the best audio quality for mp3. You can check if an mp3 file is that quality by seeing it's properties (right click on pc) and searching there. Some sites give you a quality choice and some dont so its beat searching for a site that gives you an option. Good luck and happy googling/whatever searc engine you use
