  • This video is absolutely fantastic. It gives a simple, completes explanation about the inner workings of these ships. The 3D animation is really fantastic to watch and the actual working of these ships is much more complicated than I ever imagined.

    • Pipelines are better, which is why we don't have LNG trains. (By "better", I mean more efficient and therefore cheaper, while also being safer and less likely to leak - so better for the environment as well)

      @jeffbenton6183@jeffbenton61836 ай бұрын
    • @@jeffbenton6183 The pipes don't liquefy the gas though. It's easier and safer to transport the gas as a gas at room temp and high pressure rather than a liquid at those extreme cold temperatures.

  • Vídeo is nice and easy to understand, but instead "Liquefaction plant" it's a compressor room, in fact that place used to gas management of pressure inside the tanks, a liquefaction plants needs a cooling exchange...by a more cooler thing...such liquid Nitrogen... It's expensive process and requests a lot of energy... In reality this house contains inside a group of 2 types of compressors, high demand and low demand and use to pump dry air, purging by Co² and cooling down by Natural gás in vapor ... Once we have cargoes on board we deal with pressure using compressors to help, normally the temperature increases we can use liquid from bottom of cargo tk to spray this vapour on compressor room some parts in liquid form we send back to the tanks ...
