It is a carpentry channel created by an ordinary office worker in the 11th year of architectural design.
I first encountered woodworking as a hobby in 2019, and I am running a channel while learning little by little.
Since I have never learned carpentry professionally, there are many things that I lack.
I'm learning slowly one by one, so please understand.
Nice to meet you. 😊

    @matthewstevenson6207@matthewstevenson62072 жыл бұрын
    • It holds itself in open, and don't waste space in that position. You need really expensive BLUM lifts to achieve the same result. It can be practical in work shop where you don't have third arm to hold doors in open.

      @pathemep@pathemep2 жыл бұрын
    • @@pathemep or swing open on the horizontal plane. Lots of ways to achieve that much simpler. This is beautifully engineered but so is a Lamborghini. Neither would really be considered practical. I still absolutely love it though.

  • When a "normal" wardrobe hinges broke often already i can't imagine this one. Its cool tho

    @whoami1449@whoami14492 жыл бұрын
    • it's nice, but too much wood for my taste. I easily imagine the same with a powder coated metal frame, frosted glass panel, magnet latches and hinges on bearings with, perhaps, friction dampeners for the downward movement, nobody would like their hands getting caught inside this mechanism if they miss the latch, even with the wooden model. Plus, a metal construction and hardware, if correctly selected, would be more durable, no hinge breaking before a long time of use :)

      @Eytaris@Eytaris2 жыл бұрын
    • You don't build this for low maintenance, the more moving parts, more risk of failure. This has a lot of moving parts. If your metal hinges are breaking often then the hinges are probably not rated for that weight of door. A good specced hinge should last longer than the cupboard. That said, good artistic concept, not sure it's worth it if you're not a proficient carpenter with time on their hands.
