Impossible Folding Door

I made this crazy, impossible origami folding door. Inspiration for this project came from Warwick Turvey who you should follow on IG: / warwickturvey
This door seems impossible, but I'll break it all down in the video how this folding door works. Hit that thumbs up if you like this and leave a comment about what I should make next!

  • 1:50 I'm gonna explain what are happen here in that segment, In some device the sound didn't come that because your phone(speaker) is on mono instead of stereo, you can actually hear that segment by using headphone or headset The cause is the sound cancelation where the original sound meets inverted sound that makes sound cancel each other or maybe odd in speaker I hope this will help

  • This is a great wood project book kzhead.infoUgkxkPIWb22DigCqxmlXerCyUF4HCl6eSU2L . Most of the projects use the pallet simply as a source of reclaimed wood not as a recognizable pallet so even if you didn't have a pallet you could make these projects with any reclaimed (or even new) wood. The instructions are excellent. The style is charming and would work with lots of different decor. There are quite a number of projects that involve tiling of teh wood pieces which is a really cool idea and can produce beautiful pieces when working with aged wood.

Looking at his site it looks like his door, which he calls Triangle, isn't exactly the same design as the one in this video. The 'Triangle' door consists of just four triangles, and it's not obvious from the pictures on the site exactly how the center hinge works. It might be shown on one of the videos but I'm not really that interested.

  • Let me explain why some of you guys can't hear sound from 1.50. There is no sound only on devices with a single mono speaker. If you will try to connect your headphones, everything will be ok. For some reasons the sounds there is a out of phase stereo. The sound like this can't be heard properly from mono speaker. Some of cheap microphones doing that or just an incorrect configuration of video/audio editing software. There is a gold rule of video editing: try to mix left and right channels to verify sound. Otherwise, sound will be broken on 60% of mobile devices

THAT would be the icing on the cake. EDIT: Oops, the REAL icing on the cake would be to have Star Trek door opening and closing sounds as well. Yes, that would be icing indeed. ;-)

    • The problem is that one of the audio channels (left or right) have inverted polarity on that segment, causing the audio to be cancelled when summing to mono which some devices do. This is also the reason the audio sounds weird on speakers (and somewhat on headphones) during that part of the video.

One of the definitions of practical is "sensible and realistic in their approach to a situation or problem" so the practical thing to do would be to get a normal door instead of cutting up a bunch of metal to create a door that's full of holes. Its a cool door though and it works well enough for were he put it in his shop. The original used it as an outer door which i could see being a problem because that door will definitely not stop bugs from walking through all the cracks.
