Restoration of a very rare German lighter from World War 2. It was found in the woods while searching with a metal detector. This lighter had been in the ground for over 70 years. Watch as I restore this 70+ year old war relic into something awesome.

Great video. I’m fascinated by vintage lighters and collect them. Thanks.
Lighter stand very beautiful after amazing restoration!👍
With out the lighter parts, it looks like it could be used to store matches. I would have put some kind of gasket around the base to keep fuel from leaking out. Good job.
I was thinking about gasket. But I didn't have the right material.
As per usual...amazing!!

You have watched my video very carefully. I didn't notice this error. Thanks for watching my video!
It's interesting that the best old lighters are inspired by munitions of WW1 - guns, bullets, shells, tanks, trench warfare, copper, brass and the need to quickly light a fag before going over the top....
How do you dispense with the used chemicals?
Citric acid and mechanical cleaning can be used.
Ahh!
looks like its made out of a 20 mm shell
American lighters are so much more practical
Sussy looking lighter 😂😳
👍👌👍👌👍👌
Try putting some nitric acid on those gloves you were wearing. Don't wear gloves when handling nitric.

I wonder what I have been watching. A restoration video, or a big commercial for Dremel and Zippo??Also, you use genuine Zippo wicks, flints and fluid, but a knock-off "Zippo".... That kinda struck me.
A real Zippo lighter is expensive and it is a pity to break it. Dremel didn't pay me anything. I really like the tool of this company, it is very high quality.
shout out to Dremel, iFixIt, and $1 Chinese knockoffs.
Second
варвары ZIPPO раскурочили...!😀
