On today's episode of Car Trek, AutoTempest challenged the guys to find out how broken their cars actually are, but there's a twist this time. Ed's Maserati, named "Mona," stole his heart but may still have eyes for his bank account. Tyler's Audi S8 has the Quattro pedigree, but it's far from a track-prepped race car. Freddy's Rolls-Royce is as solid as a tank but leaks like a submarine with a screen door. This is going to get a little sketchy.

Can’t believe how good the Car Wizard has got in front of the camera, he was a plank of wood caught in the headlights of a fast moving tank in Hoovies early films. Now; he’s calm, cool and collected.
That was actually a decent Ace Ventura impression by Hoovie. I love how much more confident these guys are getting doing this show. I hope they continue and make it better and better.

i have grown to appreciate tyler’s physical comedy alot. sometimes he misses. but sometimes he really nails it.

Notice that the car Wizzard appeared quite annoyed when he said, it's not even their car when they put it up on 2 wheels.. He clearly has a lot of respect for other people's stuff and looked a bit concerned. But all in all, it's clear they are all good friends.

I still think you all should have given each other 5 minutes to really figure out how to get the most presents into each car. I would have gotten every present into the Rolls and had room for safe driving and a passenger. It was an easy victory. Tyler had half the room in the Audi.

Are you sure the odometer discrepancy on the Maserati wasn’t just the scan tool showing the mileage in km? The wizard knows his stuff for sure but when I use ISTA on my M5 it shows mileage in km. And 122514 km translates to 76127 miles
There it is, but i guess they decided to make a little story around it for bonus excitement. I would well imagine only the physical speedometer is converted on euro cars going to USA, not the software as such.
@@AlfaGiuliaQV still doesn’t explain why its 300 miles off then. The conversion rate is a set rate so it would be the same every time.
Second this! Using the numerical difference between European cars’ internal kilometer “accounting” and the US miles odometer is a common KZhead ploy to generate extra excitement.

Whenever I heard of cars with numbers (like #9 of 60) I’d always thought these cars would be well tracked and never understood how they just cease to exist. Then there’s Ed’s Maserati

He did make an update video about how he was gonna be gone for a couple of weeks picking up some cars and dropping off the red thing that was in his garage. So this was probably shot when he was out of town and being the nice guy Rob is, he let them shoot even though he wasn't present to be on camera.

I feel bad for the quattroporte, I've always liked them. Too bad they never came with a manual transmission. They'd be legendary with a good reliable manual trans paired to that engine.
I wonder how hard it would be to take a wrecked one and put the Ferrari engine in something else. Thinking the biggest issue would be making the ECM work without the other electronics.

to this day i love the quatro tt. i seen one not long ago and got excited. i followed the lady driving it into a gas station. she prolly thought i was a weirdo but i asked her about it and she was telling me its junk. no matter what you think of cars like these. you still have to respect the engineering that went into them.
it did get a zf 8 speed later which seems to be reliable

Enjoyed the series, so far, but two things really came to mind this time; 1) The fact that turning back the odometer gets called to attention due to being a crime (sure no problem), but a linked brake/suspension issue is shushed, wouldn;t that become a crime too when he'd actually end up with no brakes and possibly a crash as a result? 2) Noticed Ed was actually sitting with his head/helmet IN the recess of the roof window, wondering what would happen if he'd suddenly stop, only to see at the end of the video he goes and does exactly that.

Wizards on camera presence has improved a thousand percent since he started appearing in Tyler's videos. Just like a mechanic he got better by doing. Great to see.
