  • I'm so glad that he focused on the process of writing the song, and the song itself rather than asking about everything behind it and all the drama, it was very professional in my opinion

She spoke about it and explains why in an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music KZhead channel that was posted to KZhead on November 17, 2021 (Giving dates for the future when people see this and are curious)

  • So amazing to hear an artist actually understand and know the craft. So many people just waltz into a studio with a song handed to them, can’t play an instrument - which is fine, sometimes a singer can just be a singer. But the work I find is so much more meaningful when the singer is the one who crafted it.

And amazingly, didn't lose what makes the song great at the same time by beating it to death or trying to do too much. But just enough to understand what made it great in the first place. • 5:24 I love where her original lyrics were brunette and then she asked for Dan's opinion on little words and it got changed to blonde because it felt like the perfect rhyme in the line...it just proves that she wasn't trying to point fingers on someone particular...
