@Tyt Xlx it's not about the club it's about the coaching and the system they play in. Kdb and salah were average at Chelsea. Fernando Torres joined Chelsea when he was the best player in the world but just look how it went.

I believe he went to Arsenal too back then and had dinner with Wenger. Eventually he decided to join Real Madrid (who wouldn’t?), but he was too young for such a huge move. Got loaned many times and almost forgotten. Arteta was very smart to snap him from Madrid .

People who think Odegaard was a nobody before Arsenal stint didn't follow him before he joined Arsenal. He was really good at Hereenven and Real Sociedad. It's sad that his Real career didn't develop like many of us wanted but I am also really happy he is bossing it at Arsenal.

Must have been a tough decision to leave Madrid but it just goes to show he took the risk and it’s paid off massively. Hes playing great football, Captain of Arsenal and the fans love him.
Odegaard is one of a few who lived up the hype. I remember him at 16 I believe joining Real Madrid. The hype was immense 99 out of 100 footballers don't live up the hype.
Lol, 99 out of 100 is a bit extreme. Most wonderkids actually do live up to the hype, it's usually just longevity that separates talented young players from the greats. The greats are able to sustain it over their careers.

The problem is that we expect every wonderkid to reach Messi/, Ronaldo/ Pele heights & that's an unrealistic expectation.

The players I mentioned didn't have a decorated career at the highest level. These wonder kids all have the talent, but none of the ones I mentioned had the same career as what Odegaard is having right now. And even Odegaard almost failed to live up to the hype. But he revived his hype currently at Arsenal. He is showing it on an elite level. Most of the others aren't.

He definitely isn't anywhere near Messi's level either, that's an unrealistic expectation to put on 99.99% of any players that have ever kicked a ball. Football is a funny old game
There is difference between A flopped and not give proper chance. Martin is exceptional player. He is amazing player. But he arrived in Madrid very young, at the age of what? 15? 16? And Madrid shoot themselves in the leg with his training and loans. After that, he wasn't given proper chance by managers and a lot. A LOT of competition. Madrid still made profit, and Martin is playing high level football at the top club in top league. So he didn't flopped, just didn't fit in properly and wasn't given a proper chance. But in the end, both are happy now. Which is best outcome. Madrid didn't struggle due him leaving and made money and Martin is having amazing time in Arsenal. So win win.

Obviously said ‘ took five minutes to say this player has IT ! ‘ with ‘it’ meaning he had something special . We all have ‘FEETS’ , and most feets are ugly feets. I once got divorced over my FEETS . She said either the FEETS go ( which I presumed meant chopped off given the fact she had purchased a firemans type axe) or I left in the morning and took my poor FEETS with me !! That was 10 years ago . Had a few short term gf’s but as soon as we have a shower together or I sleep sockless Ime usually gone by the end of that week . My dog loves me though ‘ she even rest her head on my FEETS .
