  • Just got home from the game...the Preds just did the most quintessentially Preds thing to do...have all the momentum after stealing a win out of Vancouver, an opportunity against yet another backup netminder in a playoff series, throw five catfish and go 0-5 on the PP alla 2019 fashion, and then just giftwrap a win for their opponent without being a threat all night while making DeSmith look like a Vezina-caliber netminder. Same 💩 different year. This is why the league doesn't take you seriously, Preds. Going in again on Sunday...next time you all wanna jerk us around with a lackadaisical, half-assed effort and waste our time, why don't you stay in the locker room or go home and do that with a moist towel before you come back into Bridgestone Arena and embarrass yourselves on home ice.

  • Talking about aquilini, you may not know this Adam and would be interesting to talk about on the podcast, but Him and ex canucks GM Mike Gillis invested heavily in sleep and recovery science and took it to Gary bettman because canucks have to travel the most distance in the nhl so back in the day their road schedule was brutal. This resulted in canucks schedule being changed and all the rest and recovery science improved the canucks road record by 30-40%. Yes aquilini along with benning are responsible for the canucks dark ages but I will hand it to him that he wants this team to win

  • Ik if Casey wins this series we’ll all praise him wether he wins or loses round 2 afterward but I’m now thinking you have no choice but to accumulate at least another 2-3 million dollars on a 2nd goalie next season, everyone saying Thatcher got over played and that led to this knee injury doesn’t realize he’s a Vezina calibre starting goalie that only hit the 50 game mark on a full 82 game season, Vasilevskiy had back surgery and still played more games then him, so if Demko can’t handle 50 games then your gonna have to go with a straight 50-50 split next season and that second goalie just can’t be Desmith or anyone around his level if you want to make the playoffs year in year out

    • He was playing on a pace for at least 60 though, that means less rest than if he had played 50 over the full length of the season.

    • @@matthewjudge3763 I’m not gonna really argue he wasn’t overplayed it’s just I do personally think 50 to even 60 games is very standard for a Vezina calibre starting goalie is all 🤷‍♂️ so I’m not gonna grill Tocchet, But let’s say he was overplayed and that’s what led to this situation, if so then the Canucks need to look at why that was case and it’s because every backup goalie Thatcher has had since Braden Holtby has bin a complete liability for a majority of the games they play so that pressures the coach to play Demko more often especially in situations where they need points, need to get a solid 1B during the offseason or hopefully Silovs can be that guy starting next season since he’s looked pretty good at the NHL level so far

    • @@Gem____F8 yet goalies who get played that much often burn out so don't really see your point here.
