New Old Trafford Redevelopment like Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou?
Manchester United are reportedly looking closely at how Real Madrid (Bernabeu Stadium) and Barcelona (Spotify Camp Nou) renovated their stadiums as it could prove too expensive to build a new one.

Is it better to build a new stadium or redevelop Old Trafford?
build a new stadium
Build a new stadium!
Definitely a new stadium
@@yangzhang9527 why lol
@@user-wx9fl6kg9l why lol
He's definitely right about the state of premier league stadiums
Yea they suck compared to Germany and Spain..English clubs too focused on blowing all there cash on wages and transfers.
The bernabau is lit🔥🔥
yeah the new Bernabeu looks nice, but they will continue to have difficulty with their grass as the solution they have made dont work. The grass has not been this bad in many years and they have to figure that out. What Ratcliff said about the premier league dont have any top class stadiums like the barnebeu and nou camp is not true, as the Tottenham Hotspurs have one of the best stadiums in the world.
New stadium... Best in the world. Nothing less will do.
Why should Untied have government financial assistance? Then again, having Satan on your badge probably helps.
Says an envious idiot
Because they are the biggest and most successful club in England. A legacy brand comparable in stature to Madrid or Barca. Man Utd needs a fitting Stadium like the aforementioned two clubs. (Btw not a Red)
@@OGCHuila If they were the biggest club in the world then they don't need government assistance. Everton, Arsenal and Spurs did it on their own.
@@OneEpicEric bro to be fair real madrid and barca got government assistance lol
@@Crusader47 As much as. I love the cross of St George being on Barcelona's badge, Spanish football has nothing to do with the British tax payer.
If this happens it would be fantastic
the reason why the uk stadiums are lacking behind is because its to expensive to build in the uk taxed to much etc.. blame the government for not helping businesses and just being greedy and councils.
A New Stadium with a business model similar to Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou capacity is the go route. The stadium will sellout anyway but hosting more events will cover for the cost of the building while giving the club much needed direction.
Real Madrid and Barca didn’t build a new stadium so why should man united build a new stadium smh 🤦🏽♂️
@@rondolbalfour1856 RM stayed at The Bernabéu because of its location. They have also renovated that building multiple times so it has been kept in great condition throughout the years. Once the area around their training ground gets developed Real Madrid has enough land left to build a state of the art new stadium. As for Barcelona, they literally teared down 60-70% of the stadium and building everything up again. OT it’s an old building and expanding and renovating will cost way too much money plus they’ll need permission from neighbors to build on top of the railroad. A brand new stadium on the same ground they own will help the club build something that will fit the club and fans need.
@@ezequielcrespofigueroa2047 okay, appreciate the info
It looks like Allianz Arena
IMO just build a new stadium at that point. I'll never understand the over the top attachment supporters have to the stadium even if its falling apart. The club = the people. Not the stadium. I also don't get why they don't build new stadiums while honouring the way the old stadium looked but making it more modern. Architecturally you can do so much but a lot of the new stadiums choose to be generic.
nah i think they should just redevelop like barca and madrid cheaper and its heritage
liverpool fc existed solely because of anfield rent dispute with everton fc back then
At present The Old Trafford Stadium is still incomplete & needs is an upgrade of the SBC stand & East & West quadrant to be completed first before you can sort out the roof. This Stadium has a lot of potential & can be one of the best stadium in Europe if not the world with the original design cos it has authentic & character with the potential capacity of at least 90K, all it needs is an refurbished & some TLC. Take Note: The Stadium Expansion Must Not Exceed the rail way track! Man Utd 's Old Trafford 'The Super Bowl of Stadiums known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' is unique & a Colossal of a stadium. Worth a View, please share! Keep it in the family!
Many Premier League stadiums give me OCD.
Stadium So Beautiful I like it resemble Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Multi billionaire owners but they can’t afford to build a new stadium without government help. No thank you. Not the people’s problem. Take out some more loans, you’ve got enough already, maybe pay some off first.
Are you mad, if you own 10k can you give 1k just like that when can get help instead.
@@Aman-mcz why should tax payers money be used? Take out loans if you can afford it.
@@SimonInSanDiego it is goverments money and they use it what for what they see fit, anyways a good stadium will increase employment, revenue and tourism which helps govt.
@@Aman-mczThe gov’t don’t have any money, it’s tax payers money. Why should I or anyone else for that matter pay a penny in tax to fund ManU (a privately owned company) to have a new stadium. Ratcliffe hasn’t got a clue, never going to happen!!!
@@Aman-mczOur government don’t have any money, its tax payers money you’re talking about and its not about to be spent on Jim Radcliffe’s play thing.
Unlike Real and Barca, Manchester does not have an alternative field to play during the reconstruction. And another thing is that, Old Trafford does not have the potential to rebuild and develop like Santiago Bernabeu and Camp Nou. So the best option is to build a new stadium.
Why they don't have the option to renovate instead of building a whole new stadium
@abdirisaqjacda9305 because Old Trafford is limited from two sides. North stand is limited to a water canal, and south stand is limited to the train railway.
@@Moh4mm4dAmin Oh that is the reason
Who says they don’t have the option to renovate?
This is the first I’m hearing that they don’t have the option to expansion
New stadium 😂. They won't even pay 15m for Dan Ashworth 😂
There's nothing wrong with the Old Trafford stadium that a bit if TLC won't cure. All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand & East & West quadrant to complete the original design & a Levelled Retractable New Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant at least 90K capacity Take Note: The stadium expansion MUST NOT exceed the rail track Let's complete the Old Trafford Stadium, we feel with 1bn budget in 18 month to 2 years copying Real Madrid project with the right people it can be achieved in line with progress on the pitch cos we deserve more! Worth a view, please share!
you dont seem to understand....its not a capacity issue. OT is SEVERELY OUTDATED in the sense the legroom is TINY, seats are very narrow, and it lacks the hundreds of luxury vip suites that a club of that stature should have....they dont have where to add more luxury suites i the current stadium. And completely rebuilding all the tiers with deeper threads/legroom and putting wider seats will really decrease even the current capacity. Just by having 50 cm wide seats instead of the current 45 cm wide would drop the overall capacity by 10 % to something like 68 K....increase the legroom by 10 % and you would lose another 10 % of that 68 k..... OT with emirates/wembley style legroom and seat width would be 62K tops... seriously, the ONLY benefit for staying in the same lace is not having to play somehwere else for several years... long term a brand new state of the art, larger capacity more corporate friendly stadium is the only way to go IF you want to compete with the likes or madrid, barca, munich, psg etc
Billions in debt man utd you got no money
They have, you can't be that thick its well hidden when needed it will be used. Have you seen how much they've spent on players and wages
Berbabeu is epic now.
Amazing audience
Nice
I’m not paying for it with my money.
the prem has tottenham stadium.
Spurs got one of the best in the world Sir Jim
They need some tarpaulin for the time being.
❤
Real Madrid rennovation cost is between 900m and 1B dollars it's not like you reported 1.5B pound which is even more in dollars madrid took 650M loan followed it by 250M from Morgan ans chase with interest rate 3% all to be paid over 25 years

Since RATCLIFFE has come in we have gone worse.
I'd like a new stadium, as Old Trafford is coming towards the end of its natural life, not to mention the difficulty there is extending the South Stand due to the railway line. Let's build something truly great and not just a copycat design. It's not going to happen, but how cool would it be if we had a single tiered stadium? Just imagine something like that end stand at Tottenham's ground the whole way round.
they didn't have any extra space & their structures were already relatively sound unlike old trafford
Man Utd's Old Trafford Stadium that a bit of TLC won't cure. All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton's Stand with a 2nd tier to complete the original design & the removal of the 3rd tier of the Sir Alex Ferguson's Stand & replaced by TV Screens for all 4 corners. We also want a Levelled Retractable New Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant a 90K capacity in comfort. SBCS 25K + SAFS 25K + SES 20K + ES 20K = 90K. Take Note: The Stadium Expansion should Not Exceed the rail track. Old Trafford Stadium known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' unique in style is the Super Bowl of stadiums & is potentially The best Stadium in the country, possibly the world. Let's complete the Old Trafford Stadium, we feel in 18 month to 2 years copying Real Madrid project with the right people it can be achieved in line with progress on the pitch cos we deserve more! Following the 2 Spanish Giants was started by Sir Matt. La Liga certainty does not lag the EPL. 2 different products with some different strengths. Rivalry is key and indeed these 2 leagues are the 2 biggest. Italy used to have the #1 league but changing times and financial investments occur.
Obviously not been to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium as yet!
Will it have indoor toilets?
Nice new stadium but Glazers will pocket huge slice of profits.
Utd still following everyone else’s style no change there then
Money is not an issue. It's PROFITS that people are after. £100 a ticket...at least.
Shame they haven't got a team befitting the club and the brand, so the stadium seems pointless!
Most British stadiums were built at the turn of the century. The factory owners formed a football club, usually next door to factory and the local pub. Most football were started up where, heavy industry was located. In London most football clubs were located near the Thames river by the docks. It would be very hard for Man Utd to stay in their present location. Its. It would be better if they move from Old Trafford and build a 100 thousand seater super stadium. They have the money.
You wish. That looks nothing like either even before they are both improved
What about a big top tent it will do for all the clowns you got playing for them my mate wants to leave it as it is hes says when he goes he can watch the game and have a shower at the same time dump lol ctid 😮
You have to build and invest to remain competitive. English football has the fans, the international appeal and the finances to do it. Yet they lag behind internationally particularly against the US market, big two in Spain, arguably behind PSG and Bayern. Time for the Premier League to develop stadiums for future generations.
first they should ask if they build a new team or redevelop the actual squad
We want an Expansion to approx 90K capacity, Modern refurbishment & a Levelled Retractable New Roof! There's an completed stadium design on WHF!@UtdWesleyy with a comment stating: So apparently we are looking at an expansion of Old Trafford. It’s been talked about for years but put off because of the complications around the south section of the stadium but if we do manage to do it… 2 Tier SBC Capacity: 88,000+ We're sure that can be achieved with minimal fuss by observation cos its already laid out going by our walk around the stadium experience. Take Note: The Stadium Must Not Exceed the rail way track! Worth a view, please share!
Best redevelopment in every way
LOL. This is never happening.
A new team would be nice!
Looks more like the old wembley just without the towers
A stadium fitting for man u current state?😂 mid stadium then 😂😂
Who's a mid table ya muppet 🖕🖕🖕🖕
But the Bernabeu and Camp Nou have decent teams playing there, don't they?
At the moment the yids stadium is the best in the country then arsenal then Wembley
It will cost more to renovate Old Trafford than to build new.
The North Remembers
温暖な気候でもないしサンチャゴ・ベルナベウみたいにおもいっきり最新の全天候型スタジアムがベストでしょう。 お金は知りません(笑)
Only one old trafford!
Owed Trafford
Yeah, old.
old trafford > new trafford
Yup ..just Like Cteh n westham stadium that are build by the help of government.
No. Just no, end of.
So another generic looking ground 😂
If you're a billionaire you make a mint out of it. Buy doing it yourself and with the right people especially the club will benefit. And so will everyone involved.
Important 😂😂😂 premier league is only important for English people
When the new stadium is being built where will they play their matches? The Wembley of the North already exists ... The Etihad Stadium !
They have the land and their deep pockets so they as joint owners should cough up only problem is 6 are jews and 1 isnt . the longer they take to decide the dearer it will cost with inflation. the glazers need to sell up or put up. I reckon for a 100,000 stadium with a retractable roof and pitch with all restaurants and mini shopping malls and bars like spurs have will come to at least 5 billion if its to be the biggest and best outside wembley and if they do do it then re sale will be 10 billion plus if the arabs want to buy. they would also recoup the costs as well as selling parts of the old ground from the turf to seats and bricks scrap metals toilets etc plus a ground sponsorship nameing rights and revenue by the bigger capacity and three sets of executive boxes in each stand plus concerts and sporting events so whats the issue even if it costs 5 billion in total get on with it ratcliffe and glazers or sell up.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
There is no fcuking way tax payer money should be used for this!!!!
Britain... The most miserable place on earth
Why are you saying that?
Oh dear! Someone's jealous.
such a relevant comment lmao i can tell u from spain
play at the millenium stadium and renovate get a new stadium after the glazers are gone
Why should tax payer's money help pay for this stadium? I can't stand Manchester United.
It boost the economy by creating new jobs and bringing in more tourists etc
@@relaxingthoughts3447 don't talk nonsense! If the owner's of Manchester United put there hands in there own pockets it would achieve the same.. I'm talking about tax payer's money people who don't support that shite
@@relaxingthoughts3447 then United can pay for it with private money
Nah, hold the government to ransom, career politicians are just wasting it anyway so may as well give Mancunians something to buzz off. Spanish government have been helping Real Madrid for decades
