I was at a UFC event where the ref prematurely stopped the fight, being upset and drunk i loudly proclaimed "THATS BULL SHIT MARC GODDARD". It was Keith Peterson....
Hahaha! The height difference not give it away buddy 😂
Lmfao!! 💯😁
No way Keith Peterson prematurely stopped a fight, that would be nonsense. and as we all know, the man simply allows no nonsense
The Colby Usman fight?
No shocker there
You didn't ask him if Keith Peterson has an intoxicating personality.
Lmao. Cruz would be proud of this one😁
Herb dean already debunked this one my nigga
That's the "No nonsense" Keith Peterson, buddy!
@@alec1115 I've never seen the man smile. Goddard must've really hyped him up.
He smelled of alcohol and cigarettes
"He checks all the boxes" - Chael Sonnen describing a gynecologist
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha ffs took a second for that one to sink in 😂
Noice
Ok, great.
Lmfao props for that one
I'm loving how big this channel is getting and all the content you guys are pushing out. Quality, quality 👌🏽
💯% been watching them since day 1
For real, underrated MMA youtube channel
I agree I can't believe their not at a million yet. But with how good their content is it's only a matter of time.
Ridiculously good content. Love MMA ON POINT. Keep it up, boys!
Was literally just saying the exact same thing to my friend about this channel 🙏🏻
*Shows footage of Marc Goddard going in for a takedown* Dominik Cruz: Marc Goddard can’t wrestle that’s why he’s saying that.
I remember him saying that💀
@@justincastillo3374 I mean the comment was a bit unnecessary by Marc, but so was Cruz’s.
Marc done Brazilian jiu jitsu years his black belt I’m trained him at gracie barra and fearless
Haven't agreed with every decision he's made in the cage, but I really appreciate that Marc doesn't make excuses for himself or hide from tough questions. One of the best to ever do it, for sure!
Sean says the dude with the NBA logo has his pfp. You’re a casual homie , Marc is one of the best refs around
@@MrMoskyz Colby fans still salty about the stoppage. I'm sure even Colby knows he was done and lost the fight at that point but he has to stick to the Character and his dumb fans take it for real lol. Covingtons a beast but his fanboys are braindead
I agree, he’s definitely a top 5 ref
@@seanmmachannel Colby lost bro. Goddard should have let it go a bit longer but one can say he saved Covington from unnecessary damage. Even if the fight went on Usman had secured the decision already
@@seanmmachannel And yes Covington is a great fighter I had already commented that. Would rather see Covington Vs Masvidal rather than Usman vs Masvidal as of now
Marc Goddoard:" I've been the most hated guy in the world sometimes" Mario yamasaki: oh yeah, hold my beer.......No seriously, hold my beer that dude was KO'd for the last five minutes I think I should stop him from getting hit in the face.
Steve Mazzagatti: Hold my fucking toolbox.
Hold my beer and cigarettes
@@genericanamesworthiv8359 ufc fighter: gets ko'ed Steve Mazzagatti: * doing his grocery list *
Lmao
lol nice one
The question I want answered is WHY DO SOME REFS SMELL LIKE ALCOHOL AND CIGARETTES ?
Pffffff5, ahahahaha
Is this Dominick Cruz's burner youtube account??
😂😂😂😂
you mean judge?
Ask Cruz he’s not a fan lol
I think it’s interesting that one of the myths was that refs aren’t held accountable, i personally have never thought that. Now, on the other hand, judges don’t seem to be held accountable at all.
Yeah that’s where the problem lyes. I wish you could see there scorecards round by round.
Yeah that dumbfounds me. Refs are CONSTANTLY harassed for the slightest thing. Judges for decades in ANY combat related sport have for whatever reason flew under the radar.
The production value on this channel is second-to-none. It has been an absolute pleasure watching MMA OnPoint grow over the years. I remember when it was just Jason and Tom as a two-man crew. Now you're setting up huge interviews with terrific production. Congrats on all the successes with this channel! Here's to 1 million subscribers soon!
It was better when it was only Jason and Tom, but its still good
I have said this before and I will say it again..best MMA channel on youtube bar none 👍
Interview a judge. I wanna know why they're sitting in on shit they have absolutely no clue about.
Facts. Their corrupt and inept asses ain't showing up for an interview tho.
Genuinely class guy. His 'Listen' podcast is fantastic if you want to hear a ref's point of view on things.
Love it. Listened to the most recent one yesterday 👌
@@NicolaMaxwell Had no idea bout the podcast. Will check it out. Thanks!!
I am amazed at what MMA on Point has grown to become since I started watching. Thank you so much for all the excellent combat sport content. 🙏
They would have grown if you didn't start watching too :P. (I am sorry, just having a bit of a laugh here. )
@@Mhvn1987 😆
Dang Marc looking like he cuts weight when he refs
Haha Goddard is a huge guy!
Dan "stop the fight" Hardy and Marc "What r u doing" Goddard are a good duo
Lol
"Listen" is a great podcast just few and far between.
Marc 'it's a fight' Goddard
@@NicolaMaxwell I see you literally everywhere, I know I don't have a life either but holy shit lady
@@NicolaMaxwell though I agree 100%, killer pod
That thought process when talking about the Reed vs Wood fight was super insightful man. great content boys honestly
He came off really well in this interview. Top man
I have so much respect for Mr. Goddard. He's competed himself, and I feel like he's one of the refs who really is putting the fighters' well-being first. Rarely do I disagree with his refereeing.
@I OFFER YOU THIS you seem to be obsessed with Marc. Like... creepily obsessed.
I like him, just the Colby vs Usman fight was pure bs and it’s obvious Marc wanted Usman to win
@@jonjonesgoat7690 no it wasn't you melt
@@jonjonesgoat7690 LMAO. Usman beat the living shit out of Colby. Goddard is one of the best refs in the business. Facts.
@@georgexanthopoulos3003 Usman faked a groin shot and faked an eye poke in that fight, Goddard gave him time out to rest. Usman literally claws Colby in the eyes then finishes him with back of the head shots and Goddard is literally smiling as hes watching colby get finished with back of the head shots
You guys should do a series where ref’s react to controversial calls of early stoppages. I’d like to see how they feel on stoppages that most causals would call early.
Bump
I its far different watching from multiple camera angles in a much more comfortable place than the ref who's in there. A ref is there for fighter safety not to determine/effect who wins said fight. So you can actually measure their effectiveness with fighter injuries. For how young the sport is overall they have all done well.
Holy shit...this would have been amazing with Mario, "if he's breathing he's fighting," Yamasaki. Lol.
Love Goddard. His podcast with Dan Hardy is brilliant!👌✌🏼🏴
Like a British Thompson And Big John
@@brandonscot2024 Absolutely. The last one was great. Marc knows his stuff👌
I see you everywhere !
He's definitely one of the best. Top three with John McCarthy and Herb Dean.
@@SirUnaiEmery MMA addiction is a very real thing.
This channel is part of the reason, why I fell in love with this sport and content like this proves me right. Keep up the great work!

This is genuinely my favorite video you guys have posted. As a fan of the sport, there's still so much unknown about the sport and how it works. Giving some insight into the toughest job in the sport, outside of the two warriors trying to tear each other's heads off, was really good. Love the channel and loved this video
More Marc Goddard! This dude is too awesome to be so little known.
His podcast with Hardy is brilliant!
@I OFFER YOU THIS what fights has he done this in????
come a long way from strictly fan made top 10 lists, dipping your feet into the actual company with all these appearances and the hustle really shows. good job MMAOP
He goddddddddddddarddddoooaayyummm
Your guys' interviews with fighters and other big names of the sport are probably my favorite thing in this channel. I learn so much of the inside info. This has gotta be my favorite vid.
Absolutely genius from you guys keeping this video as crisp and professional as possible. No subscribe reminders at the end and everything to get all of the new ppl interested in you. As a long time viewer I am genuinely so happy for everyone working behind this. Makes me have faith in the MMA community. Bravo
I got goosebumps at the 'best seat in the house' question. We all give the refs a hard time once in a while but damn, if they're doing their job right, it sounds like it takes a lot of skill, patience and timing.
this is absolutely fantastic. more videos like this please
This was probably some of the best content you guys ever made. There's so many misconceptions about reffing and the sport among the general public that hearing Goddard explain these things so calmly and to the point is awesome. Props to the whole crew + Marc.
Loving all these interview style videos with fighters and people involved in the sport, cant wait for more in the future
This was truly a treat. I'd love to see something similar with Herb Dean, or even Big John..love this channel, it's gotten so good over the years!
I DONT CARE THEY’RE ALLLLLL GETTTTIN IT -Rawdog
You're right they're all getting gonorrhea..
That was awesome. I love that Marc does interviews and podcasts and stuff. Seems like a solid guy, and certainly one of the best refs.
This as well as the Rosi Sexton piece was phenomenal, you guy always do a great job by yourself but including people who have real experience and insight like this adds so much
Absolutely fantastic video. Thoroughly enjoyable! Very well done boys 👏
Marc Goddard is the man. Love him in that Dalby vs Ross Houston fight. "this is ----ing ridiculous" lmao
This video was dopeee! Well done MMA On Point crew, and thanks for your time and insight Mr. Goddard!
Great video guys! Hope to see more of these interviews, it’s really cool to hear it from their point of view. 👍💯💯
I really liked this video, maybe we can see more like this in the near future... great job guys 👍🏽👍🏽❤️
Dude look totally different in civilian gear 😂
Civilian gear😂😂😂😂😂
For real, spent 5 min trynna picture “ref Goddard” 😂😂
Amazing video man just wow, great job everyone involved thankyou for your content over the years 👍
OMG possibly the single best post/video about being a referee in the history of MMA...MMA On Point, thank you so much for making this video, and here is why. To allow those of us on the outside an opportunity to see/ hear what it REALLY takes to be one of the best, is extremely important. And with out your video I would still be guessing.
Does wearing a “Tap out” shirt from Walmart make me an MMA expert?
But of course, wear the shorts aswell, you will be an elite.
Yes
I like that he. Takes pride in his profession
Great video! The variety of experts you guys have managed to get on recently is awesome
I remember watching this channel when there was like 10 videos and watching it now is so nice to see that you're all doing everything in your power to put quality videos out need to get cowboy on here so his top 10 crazy drinking stories lol
Definitely the most underappreciated job in MMA
Great insight into the mind of a referee
great to hear the ref's talk for a change!
One of the best interviews you guys have done. Respect!
MMA on point has come so far! So close to a mill too! All love
MMA on point is just that. MMA on point - well done guys! Great content 👍🙏
This is incredible. Great work on all fronts!
Great interview, thank you for bringing quality content.
Mario Yamasaki - "Early stoppage is definitely a myth"
😂😂😂 being a warrior is fact!!!
Imagine a Herb Dean interview when he finally retires and reflects on EVERYTHING
"Protect myself at all times" - herb dean
Where them Texas boys at 🤙
great video, hopefully you guys have another referee on sometime and make this a mini series. could listen to some of these guys talk all day
His podcast with Hardys really good 😁🙏
Absolutely enjoyed this 👌👏👍🙌 M.G thanks again Blessings from Seattle
One of the best in the business, let's go Marc !!
Refereeing is easy. Only stupid people would claim that
@BKSounds he literally yelled stop and rushed at Lewis as soon as he saw Curtis go stiff. He did as much as he could've.
@@vietnamsemonky4082 yeah that was just positioning, which ofcourse is still part of their job, but standing in the middle of the cage those two behemoths were, so giving them space is obviously not out of character. And refs aren't built with super human speed. I agree he did what he could.
@BKSounds I haven't watched the last event but I don't think you can cut Herb more slack man, I know the job is hard but he's been questionable at best for some time
But you can't refuse sometime they rig the fights.
@@AS-gr8vf not nowadays, years ago yeah, it was pretty well known, early pride especially.
Congratulations guys lately I've been noticing how mainstream you guys have been getting in the sport. It's come a long way from the 30,000 subscribers when I first joined you to being a well-respected platform for professionals to appear on keep the good content coming boys!!!
The best MMA channel bags an interview with the best MMA ref! Great work, great video; I enjoyed that insight.

Best ref in the business IMO
Awesome interview by one of the best in the business. Much respect 🙏
It's nice to hear all aspects of how a fight works in and around the cage. Time to get a judge on how they score and feel about the fights🕵

Who else thinks that referee should be given glasses cameras
I think Pride used to do that
