    • Hero is an overused word, but as a 40-something year old australian, if asked who my heroes are Steve Irwin and my dad would top the list. Ill never forget when it came on the radio here that he'd died - we pulled the car over to the side of the road and couldnt believe it. Just silence, we checked it wasnt April 1st, then my wife started crying. If there were 100 steve irwins' no animal would ever go extinct anywhere. Ever. Unfortunately, there isnt. There was only one. Steve Irwin was one of the greatest men that ever lived, and this kid would be making him extremely proud.
