  • What sets Khabib apart is his “humbling” effect on his opponents (all of which he’s beaten). Whilst guys like McGregor trash talk and bully opponents verbally, there’s an energy that comes with being as stoic as Khabib is. It rubs off on those he faces, a lot of guys never seemed to have the same confidence again after facing him. The guy is one big anomaly

    • Like Barboza said, they knew what his game plan was but he smashed them just the same. If Khabib had continued on the same path, he would've most likely dominated the division for years and we would probably only see him be beaten by time (age).

    • Imagine he did. Years roll on, and Khabib is still fighting, mowing down the opposition. Maybe by now - 2024 - he's already older and injured. Maybe someone takes him down, chokes/knocks him out. The McChickens get their pleasure, mand get to endlessly show his loss. The Diaz gangster wannabes laugh and rejoice. The Ferguson fanboys, fresh off the mental hosptial, ree and make a monkey show. You would not respect Khabib more if you kept fighting. You want him to kepe fighting so he loses and you have something to gloat about. This is precisely what angers you so much, and makes you all talk about him to this day. For you he will always be an enemy, because he's a Dagestani Russian and Muslim. What he did makes me super happy. He reitred on top, and that's the best an athlete can do, unless they want to end up like Ferguson. Even GSP said its the smartest and best thing that a fighter can decide.
