In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
Josh revealed on the Taskmaster Podcast that he filmed all his tasks for Champion of Champions in one day (Bob, Katherine, Noel and Rob did their tasks in two days), and he was exhausted because his baby daughter Pearl arrived a few days earlier. When filming was complete, he returned to the green room at the Taskmaster House to find another Task envelope. Inside the envelope was the text: *"Dear Pearl. Have the best life ever. Your time starts now."* Josh later had the opened envelope framed and hung on his daughter's nursery wall.
That's incredibly sweet, thank you for sharing
That's amazing
That will be a treasure she can keep and pass on to her children
@@KingofEverything1 Why would the OP make that up? Josh told this story himself on the podcast! So you're saying Josh was making it up?
Admit it, event if this wasn't true (it is) still, it made many readers's day? And this is Taskmaster's impact on us fans. The power of a story most of the time does not come from it's reality but it's background and moral.
I really want to see the loser of losers episode. There's not always a runaway winner but there's usually one contestant who is WAAAAAAAAY in the back and they're often the most entertaining.
nish nish nish !
Wouldn't it be Champion of Losers, or Winner of Losers?
Now with the recent season, I'd say the only ones that didn't have a 'runaway loser' are 4, 6 and 14
I don’t think they’d ever do this because it incentivises losing as well as winning.

What else could possibly embarrass him?

"...and see how they've aged!" .......I mean, far as I can tell, Josh is still the exact same 14 year old
LOL TRUE
And Katherine got even more gorgeous!
Are you kidding? Josh is the only one that has noticeably aged. Bob looks old but in exactly the same way. Noel doesn't age, he's a vampire. Catherine wears so much makeup you'd never know. Rob is 90% tooth enamel. But pause on a good shot of Josh in the studio when he's not the one talking and imagine he has a beaded chain coming off the back of his glasses. @@kurtsudheim825 key word being "somewhat" - the contestants are under the whimsy and will of Greg for the entire duration, a fact he takes some effort to routinely remind everyone. So as long as he can just wave his hand and go "nah I like it better this way" then it's hard for me to put much stock in the voracity of the points system. Its not on par with the significance of points in 8oo10cdc, and even that show it's like... who cares? Sean (may he RIP) lost that show 19 times out of 20 but there's no prizes, they don't keep official tallies... there's no difference for the "contestants" whether they win or lose each week, it's all just a format for the actual show which is comedy. So even there, the points ultimately don't mean anything. Its all for a bit of fun, anyway. We're not running national inquiries on Joe's disqualification in the potato toss or Rhods suss qualifications despite visibly failing tasks etc.. as long as we all have a laugh and James has maybe lost his mind a little bit during the process, Greg can do whatever he likes 👍
I loved the “Lord Greg Davies” callback, that was indisputably the highlight of Series 2

you ever think about how Josh Widdicombe got a karate trophy instead of Greg's head for winning Series 1?
firerednaxela It was because they didn't think they would get a second series commissioned. They proved far more successful than they dared hope. Hope the move to Channel 4 doesn't spoil the fun and you folks in the USA can still get it.
Alex said they did actually provide him with his own head trophy after they started that tradition.
We've got to get David Mitchell on at some point, right? It would just be 10 episodes of him getting progressively more annoyed and passive-aggressive.
Greg has a history of subtracting points when people argue with his rulings. David would have the worst score ever.
