  • When someone does a cover, it shouldn't be exactly the same as the original. They should make it their own. Which Dimash does. Comparing Dimash to the original, you shouldn't be surprised when he puts his own twist on a song, considering how many reactions you've done to Dimash. You should know going in that it's not going to be like the original. I've always liked the original Hello by Lionel Richie, but I also like Dimash's version simply because it's Dimash. He could sing anything, and I'd still like it.

    • Diana Ankudinova did a performance of Elvis’s Falling in love, a cover that she altered and made it her own .. STUNNING There are artists out there that don’t see things as we do .. but through their art/ performances, we can get a glimpse of what they see. Changing a cover doesn’t diminish the original, it just gets let’s us see from a different angle and as always … Dimash didn’t disappoint.

  • Бедный Ричи испугался Димаша и запретил ему исполнять эту песню. Спасибо бы сказал за то, что ее возродили. И Димаш своей трактовкой дал этой простоватой песне новую жизнь и спел ее гораздо интереснее, чем оригинальный исполнитель. По сути дела это уже не песня Лайонелла, а песня Димаша.

  • La verdad es que Dimash convirtió una linda canción, en una canción extraordinaria. Me gusta muchi más el cover de Dimash y creo que es un poco mezquino prohibir que la cante, pero en fin, solo con ésta interpretación ya es más que suficiente, la ha subido muchísimo de nivel 💖🇨🇺

  • Огромное спасибо дорогой. Лара Фабиан как подружился и оценил Димаша и за эту песню АДАЖИО я узнал и слушаю все песни красавицы Ларочки. Через Димаша узнал Коджи Тамаки и историю Ошико Ямогути. Вот как Витас и Лионело из за запрета нет у них души и ума. На сколько Димаш рекламирует и божествляет их. Он не просто поёт а потому что ему нравится их творчество. Жаль что не понимают своей выгоды. Как Димаш спел и на китайском и японском языках песню Кожи Тамаки.

  • I love that Dimash tries to preserve the original while developing his own take on it. Personally, back in the ‘80s, I just couldn’t stand the song, and was a bit disappointed when they announced that Dimash had been invited as a guest artist for the 2018 final gala to sing this. But when I heard it, OMG, I just loved it!!! Whether Lionel did or did not ban him from singing has never been confirmed. However it is a fact that Dimash never sang it again. Paying a fee is ridiculous. Most of the songs by all singers were covers. Lara Fabian not only congratulated Dimash by phone but even sang together with him a couple years later, and wrote the lyrics for the Dimash original Krutoy song Your Love. Han Hong also congratulated Dimash and offered to call him her son. Daniel Balavoine’s sister loved Dimash’s version of SOS. The band A-Studio not only loved but accompanied Dimash for his version of Sinful Passion. So we can see the character of these singers through their reaction to Dimash.

  • La canción fue presentada en un concurso y el lógico, como ya vimos la participación de Dimash en I Singer, que al publico le gusta escuchar las acrobacias qie puede hacer Dimash. Si miras un concierto, veras un Dimash mucho mas emotivo en su voz y en sus performance. Particularmente me encanta como va variando las canciones. Lo que hizo en esta canción me encantó. Claro que soy fan de Dimash. Saludos ❤

  • At the end of the second verse, Dimash sings "I love you" in Mandarin ("Wo ai ni") to the Chinese audience, and again in the third verse, adding "Men (I) seni (you) suyemin(love)" in Kazakh, before whispering "Thank you very much" in Mandarin at the end. Dimash beautifully incorporates Middle Eastern (Armenian, Turkish, Arabic, Azerbaijani, Kazakh) runs in the song.

  • Thank you for the reaction. I have to note that this performance was at the competition show, so it wasn't meant to be "sing along" version, but to showcase his abilities to win the competition. Also if you just repeat the original note for note, then what is the point of doing that, you might as well just go back to the original .A cover is always an interpretation.❤✌️

  • The original song is a good song and Dimash made a masterpiece out of it. They don’t sing along to Dimash’s songs, they admire them and receive strong aesthetic pleasure. Dimash The Greatest Singer and not an ordinary pop singer.

  • Dimash was invited back to "The Singer 2018" as a guest performer. The show has time constraints. So, it would not be possible to do the second verse of the song. Dimash thanked the audience and the orchestra, and to the show itself for giving him the opportunity they gave him the year before. I don't think anyone really wants to hear another singer mimic the song of another performer. Every song Dimash has covered of other singers, he has put his own unique spin on it and made it his own. He rarely sings his own songs the exact same way every time he performs it. This is the first time I have heard that Dimash was asked not to sing this song again, but, I do know that Vytas' manager forbade him to sing Opera 2 again. I think he was going to sue the show's sponsors because he claimed they did not get permission for Dimash to sing it. when he was going to cover DayBreak, Han Hong called him to say how she was very happy that he chose her song to sing. He covered Lara Fabian's song, "Adagio", and she collaborated with Igor Krutoy to write "Your Love" for Dimash, as well as performed with him for a concert. Maybe some singers feel a little insecure when Dimash covers their songs. My question to you is, why would you even want Dimash to parrot anyone's song?

  • Rispetto all'originale la cover di Dimash è decisamente superlativa. Vitas e Lionel dovrebbero ringraziarlo per aver dato una seconda vita a queste canzoni, e aggiungerei " migliorandola", invece di stare là spaventati e impauriti a proibire a Dimash di cantarle. Con questo hanno mostrato solo la loro insicurezza in sè stessi e l'invidia verso Dimash.

  • Jessie J was competing in that version (2018) of The Singer Show. She was backstage mind-blowed in total ecstasy while Dimash was performing this song live. This cover was unmatched, unsurpassable, immeasurably wonderful. I'll never get tired to say that Dimash Qudaibergen is the best singer ever to walk on stage in this entire planet.

  • With Dimash, I think you just got to have that cultural awareness but also a little bit of greatness in mind to understand his musical journey and aspirations as a musician. He embraces so many cultures and genres and infuses them into a single song or performance. A simple song about untold feelings is turned into a passionate confession of love that has no boundaries, a song which can be overwhelming for some, who may see little and turn their backs in response.

  • The “I love you” in Chinese was the whispered words at the very end. What I heard was that Lionel Richie said, “Did I write that song?”. I don’t think Dimash was familiar with this song before singing it! To show the difference in generations, a lot of people thought it was Adele’s song, “Hello”. 😁

  • He conveys the emotion in a different way, with desperation in the final part in the music rather than the lyrics, and it's probably more suitable for a Chinese audience that wouldn't be familiar with the lyrics in English either. It wasn't part of the competition as it was the charity show after Singer 2018, which was the year after he took part in the contest. Jessie J was pretty impressed as she was next on stage, to wind up the show. She commented something along the lines of 'Someone warmed up'. 'Wo ai ni' is Mandarin for 'I love you', he also adds the same phrase in Kazakh at the end. The speech after is a thank you to all his fans in China.

  • Sea el sello discográfico o Richie que no quieren que la siga cantando eso no cambia el hecho de que Dimash hace SU propio cover y lamentablemente para esa gente Dimash lleva las canciones a otro nivel muy superior al llamado "normal" justamente porque no es un cantante e intérprete del montón. El autor hizo una linda canción pero Dimash la revive con mucho más fuerza y le da más sentido, como hace siempre. No se lo puede comparar con nadie porque es único así que los demás deberán resignarse. Igualmente como dicen abajo, podría cantar la insulsa guía telefónica y también la llevaría a otro nivel, porque sin darle más vueltas al tema: ES DIMASH y nada más. Gracias por tu reacción.
