Dimash' crew NEVER messes up. That was intentional. This version is a THOUSAND times better than Lionel's EVER was. Advice, though? Respect the whole video. Watch until the end. And you NEVER lose the shock value...NEVER. Because Dimash always brings something different to every single video. Now go watch Story of One Sky and tell me again that you aren't shocked.
If shock value was the essence of his career he wouldn't have such loyal fans. Dimash eats, sleeps, breathes music and he is a great performer able to convey emotions when singing. Dimash's repertoir got a wide span, multiple genres and styles, one style not necessarily better than the other, just different. Dimash is not a one trick pony, his vocal toolbox is so well equipped that he got the privilige to sing a song excactly the way he thinks suits the song best. So my advice is to see beyond the shock value, it's just good music with an unusually skilled vocalist. I see many Dears have suggested to check out "The Story of One Sky". It's not only a song where you really can hear how he uses his vocal toolbox to colour the song and to get through the emotions and message he wants to convey, it's also a song composed by Dimash (he pays attention to every little detail in the music) and he contributed to the movie script as well. That video and song will hopefully convince you that he is a true artist with something to say, not only a vocal acrobat with shock value.

Dimash performed this in 2018 when he was invited back as a guest for the finale of the chinese show The Singer. He sang two "I love you"`s of the song in chinese - "Wǒ ài nǐ" (and one in kazakh at the end - "men seni süyemin") - as a salute to his fans - since The Singer 2017 in which he competed, he got millions of chinese fans, very supportive and loyal fans. And at the end he thanked the audience in chinese ("Fēicháng gǎnxiè" = 'thank you so much')

Instead of the shock value, I urge you to look for the emotion and the message. Dimash rarely does anything for the shock value, everything he does is justified by what he wants to express. For me, the most impressive thing here is the connection he does between West and East by using both Eastern and Western musical elements, in order to say Hello from one side of the world to the other side!... Isn't it clever???
I enjoy ice cream every time I eat it….it never gets stale. And with Dimash….to me and many of his fans/Dears, even the same song over and over brings tears or other emotions into play like no other artist can. So it is in the eyes and ears, heart and soul of the beholder as to what the long term response will be. But Dimash is not just a performer that will run for a time and grow old or stale. Mark my words…..he is fulfilling a very special destiny to restore what Hollywood has destroyed. His frequencies create and bring refreshment and healing to those who understand how sound is meant to work, and will allow it to penetrate into their inner beings. If you only enjoy skins, then you are missing out.

The last sentence of the song Dimash says "Wö-ai-ni" is “I love you” in Mandarin, out of respect for China. the phrase that speaks at the end are “Thanks” and “I love you”. Thank you for reacting to Dimash, my favorite artist! He’s indeed any composer’s dream such as Igor Krutoy or Zaia Piergiuseppe. I love how he makes such a classic 80’s song like Hello his own, by incorporating the Kazakh traditional flute and oriental melismas. I think it’s a brilliant idea to have done so, giving the song a new breath, and also bridging the East and the West at the same time. Here’s my question for you guys: whenever you listen to your favorite artists, are you also looking for any shock value of some sort, precisely because you already know their singing styles; or you simply want to enjoy and appreciate to the fullest their voice and music? My point is: why should it be different with Dimash? Now that you know how incredible he is, just let yourself go and simply enjoy his wonderful voice. His intent is not to shock us anyways, but use his vocal abilities to tell us a story like in “Stranger”, his original song composed by Igor Krutoy. I don’t recall if you have already reacted to it but if not, you’re in for a wonderful musical journey! Thus, listening to Stranger is in and of itself a musical journey where we’re accompanying Dimash through this “stranger’s land” with each and every vocal technique and singing style which denotes a different culture and path in life. As this was performed for The Singer 2018 as a guest, you should hear the marked improvement of Dimash's voice every year as he matures. He was 24 at that time. He is now 28 and the sheer improvement of the quality of his voice every year is scary. You have barely scratched the surface of his works. Every song is so different it's not possible to pigeonhole him into any box. All of his original songs are works of art but I agree, so far, Requiem: The Story of One Sky is his current masterpiece of music film score, vocal prowess, acting skills, and overall creativity. Very meaningful message that puts you through the emotional wringer. Every composer who has written for Dimash calls him a genius. Many wprld class composers are waiting in line to be considered by him. Hans Zimmer has just recently contacted Dimash so am guessing there will be a collaboration for an upcoming film. It will be exciting to see what his next project will be.
I agree with other commenters that the most amazing Dimash video is The Story of One Sky, so count me in for that one the tally. Other than that, great reaction like always and I'll just comment that in that same contest where Dimash was singing, there are some amazing singers too. I would specially recommend for you the incredible Hua Chenyu (he's the man in a black T-shirt at 8:17 in this video). His cover of 'Fake Monk' is one the the most incredible feats of music artistry I've ever listened to and I can say for sure that it would not disappoint you if you decide to give it a try. It's the weirdest and most haunting song you'll ever encounter in KZhead and I know that your channel is all about this kind of unexpected and 'out of the common trail' songs (and that's why I subscribed long ago). Keep going strong, gentlemen!

In the original it is a lyrical song. And Dimash's is a song about passion, he's begging for love. And the finale is a declaration of love and waiting for the verdict. Will his love be accepted? Will his prayer be heard? Thanks for the response, guys. Remember that Dish doesn't have songs without drama, there's always a development of the character he's singing on behalf of. At the beginning of the song, the character is shy to talk about his feelings, but at some point he decides to open up, and at the end he's already screaming about love

His band is excellent and you rarely hear mistakes. In Dubai they brought in a violinist and there was a little hiccup between him and the pianist. I guess since they weren't familiar with each other. They got a look from the boss 😆. He's a very kind man but I don't think he tolerates many mistakes because he's a perfectionist.

Nah, Dimash shocks me every time. But more moved, he’s so much more than shock value. If that’s the most you’re left with, I’d say you’ve missed out on the majority of his magic, only getting the most surface.
I completely agree, you may understand what he's capable of but if you're purely in it for the shock factor then you will miss out on some of his most beautiful songs.
I think one of the problems is that all too often, people watch Dimash much like they will watch a circus act - they're not 'in it' to appreciate his music and artistry, but rather to ooh and ahh. Many of my favourite songs have none of these amazing notes (high and low) in it, it is simply pure story and emotion and voice, and yeah, magic!

@@lucillehermann8942 Couldn't Leave remains my absolute favourite Dimash song, I've always been more of a fan of his beautiful velvety smooth mid range. He has some stunning songs where he uses almost none of the vocal acrobatics but that voice speaks to your soul.

Yeah, a lot of stuff has been going on.... Hello is not one of my favorite cover by him (but I still think his version is better than the original 😁).... But to recent things, u HAVE to react to his freaking masterpiece called The Story Of One Sky. It took him three years to compose the music. He also wrote the script to the MV, which is also a mini movie. One of the most expensive MV in the music history - over 7 mil dollars.... I was lucky enough to be in Almaty a month ago to be present at the premiere of this videoclip at his fan meeting one day after his biggest concert called Stranger.... Which was absolutely amazing!!!!! I wish all Dears have a chance to witness his concert at least once in their lives..

As far as Hello is concerned, I love Dimash’s version better than the original, but I believe we can all agree that respect must be given to the original artist. A great composition only made better by a different interpretation. Agreed that The Story of One Sky is an absolute masterpiece worth watching multiple times!
@@lolawants2008 there's no source about the cost. 7M dollars is what MJ and Janet Jackson MV cost for the song Scream. It's the most expensive MV. And because of that translation problem with the "expansive" word when they announced TSOOS, people think it's the cost of it.

Probably most expensive of all his previous, because of the length & locations, size of cast & crew that makes sense, but yeah. People assuming because they googled & saw other budgets also makes sense. The “expansive” thing is an interesting take. I definitely thought there must be a translation issue when I saw it but wouldn’t have thought of that one. There is an element of big fish stories I see evolve among fan circles sometimes :)
The thing is that you don't enjoy an artist because of the shock but because of the connection you feel to him/her. Most of Dimash's songs are in a normal range without any crazy vocal acrobatics and they are the most beautiful and touching to me. Qairan elim, Samaltau, Amanat, If I never breathe again, Couldn't leave, Give me love, Akkuym .... I also enjoy his crazy stuffs but that's not the reason why I'm a fan.
By the way, Hello by no means is one of his best songs. For a less shocking but incredibly beautiful song, I suggest you watch "Autumn Strong" (Arnau concert version). You may want to check out his own songs (War and Peace - Arnau concert version and Unforgettable Day - Gakky version). He wrote about ten songs but these two are my favorite among them.

You said that Dimash has lost his shock value for you. That may be true for his earlier performances like this one. But if you look into his more recent stuff, particularly his music videos, he still manages to surpass himself, and leaves you with the question where else he is going to go. The shock value is for sure in his latest video The Story Of One Sky. Take the time to react to it and to properly understand it. It will give you plenty of material to discuss.

Personally I never tire of listening to Dimash sing, it never gets boring as he can and does sing so many different genres. If you want shocking please react to the composition he has just released, The Story of One Sky. It has taken him 3 years to compose the music, write the storyboard and record the music and film. Approximately 300 people have worked on the filming and recording of this and it is a masterpiece, from one so young, at 28 years old, this blows my mind ❤🙏

Most reactors don't feel they've lost the shock value or at least a sense of surprise over "well, I haven't heard him do that before." I went to your page to see what reactions you've covered, and aside from Ave Maria," they were prepandemic. He continues to stretch his range and to experiement with style, so try out "Olimpico," "Stranger," "Know," and "IKinaide" or "Diva Dance" at Bastau or opera with Dimash, Lara Fabian, and Aida Garrifullina in "Ti Amo Cosi."

Nice reaction. I didn't know enough about voices to realize how amazing Dimash's singing ability is, so I wasn't blown away, but I really like his music and the emotion he brings to each performance and the fact that usually he has a good message to bring through his songs. There are MANY of his songs that you haven't seen yet if your channel is accurately showing the ones you have done. Try some of his Kazakh ones. I will suggest "Qairan Elim" MV and "Samaltau" and "Omir Oter" from his Digital Show. They aren't so much vocal wizardry but he really puts his heart into his Kazakh songs. Another great one to watch is "Ikanaide" from the Tokyo Jazz Festival. Oh, and "Know" is a very cool song also. I think so far most of us would say that Dimash's masterpiece is his most recent video "The Story of One Sky", but I would say to watch some of the ones above first, just so you get to enjoy them before seeing this most recent one.
