  • Everybody should understand by watching videos like this, that this is why 70”s and 80”s groups are still touring, this music is timeless! No groups from later times can bring it like this. It’s only the infighting that breaks these groups up.

I gotta admit, Infinity, Evolution, and Departure are my favorites. Escape was awesome but it was different. It took a little getting used to the change at the time, for me, because it was so different and the other albums to follow. But that's what makes it cool. You have to change it up a little, so I understand. It didn't take too long for me to love those albums also.

    • No. I don't know who the talented young GUYS are, in Generation Z. I know of one--Oscar Lang. I'm more familiar with the talented young LADIES--child-prodigy singer Jackie Evancho, her friend, the great young songwriter (what a song poet!💓), Anna Graceman. And young country-pop princess Callista Clark. But otherwise, there are SO MANY teens and children mastering instruments, 12-year-old guitar "shredders," super young bassist Ellen Alaverdyan, age 9, so many it doesn't make sense! There is "WHY do you wanna be a music star? servant of humanity." Nobody seems to think of that, much less answer. Despite the war, here in 2023, I find there are also great young music talents in Russia! You couldn't even imagine that, in the 80s! Folk-metal band GRAI (with lead singer Irina) pack a punch (in Russian language) like 70s Heart! (and they're nice!❤) Olga Glazova, now 33, has popularized her ages-old instrument, the gúsli (lap harp) in numerous Western countries outside Russia, beautiful music from a beautiful lady! 20-year-old Dåsha Volosevich first grabbed Western ears at 13, with her powerful Slavic-pride heavy metal song "N'yehbo Slavan." The internet has made possible a TREASURE-BOX of great music shared by people everywhere, and the governments make war, but the people hear each other's music and love each other. I'm glad for that little. But I'd still love to go back and re-live the 1980s. Everybody loving the 1960s, yeah that was great music in horrible times, too, but I still prefer the 80s.

It is a COMPLETE JOKE that it took so long the HOF committee to allow Journey in. I believe it was the fan vote that finally got them in to, which is BS that it took that long and the fans had to vote them in. Journey created the video screen in live ROCK shows, and they got ripped for it along with The Power Ballad Open Arms. Really, ALL arena rock bands at that time, they COPIED journey, they too all had to have a power ballad and copy the video screen live. Now MOST bands use them live. Journey should have gotten in for that alone 😤😤😤 Rock fans love Journey for who they are, GREAT entertainers 🤓

  • You must understand the energy this band created at their live shows- pure Love, pure Soul. The orchestration, the incredible sound equipment and add the musician perfection and finally Mr Perry’s unreal powerful voice with a 5 octave range. This cannot be duplicated, Ever, Again. We were there, women were passing out from overwhelming emotions Every Song the entire show, every show. Magic, that’s all that can describe this band’s Impact on all who attended, from the nicest people in the audience to the motorcycle club that provided security. Every person at these concerts was completely absorbed into what this band was transferring emotionally. The greatest times in our lives, pure perfection.

  • Noticing this was in Journey's last together times, noticing bassist Ross Valory was replaced by this man, a black guy, and fondly remembering that rock & dance-pop music in the 70s & 80s had NUMEROUS bands with blacks & whites rocking TOGETHER! It's like that time-frame was a "Golden Age" for black-&-white race relations, music embraces color differences and people differences as something enriching, not harming, not making enemies. It seemed almost as if MLK's great dream had come true. Wish he could've lived to see it and hear the music! How can we convey that spirit we had in the 80s, to the now-evolving New Millennium youth? I believe in Christ, and music is not my "god," yet there is an undeniable spiritual power in music like this, that projects how good people can do together! This needs a revival!
