    • Song wise, there is nothing simple here at all. The song is one of the very best "crafted" pieces I've ever heard. There is allot going on in this song musically, and the only way to explain it is to look at how a pocket watch works. Musically, it's like that.

Perry is still alive and well and of course we see even better that the original recording. the instrumental technique was zero difficult, but by the same token the band members were extremely skilled. they rolled it all back as Perry joined the band. by dumping their egos and joining with Perry - the rest is history. god bless them all.

    • This is a simple sounding song however it is quite complex. However the drums are a beast to play. Really difficult to get it right. I'm not a drummer but I have seen drummers trying to play this song and fail a few times.

    • Musicians had to actually be musicians in that era. They had to have a real voice and know their instrument inside out. I played in bands in this era. The competition was intense, and it was real. I had the experience of totally kicking ass with a great set, or my band getting our asses handed to us by another band because they were better. But it was real competition. We had to work harder to get better. Now nobody cares about real music and the hard work that goes into it.
