    • Since I am from europe that skit was a bit confusing for me. A "continental breakfast" is basically a standardized hotel breakfast buffet and as such quite boring and bland. Don't get me wrong, it's nice but when you travel, you'd expect to get some local specialities, instead you get always the same regardless of where you are. And in some cases you get bad versions of something that the location isn't used to otherwise. For example it's obligatory to have croissants, so if you are in a country that usually don't have that for breakfast, you might get shitty versions of croissants. A continental breakfast is like a big budget hollywood movie that aims to be released world wide: It goes out of their way to please everyone and to offend no-one and as a result it is predictable, all over the place and has no character of it's own. What are non-continental hotel breakfasts like in the US then?
