When Nigel switches from British to American in .1 seconds. That's pure talent.
The best bit is the British accent coming through on the American accent
Is it though
i mean, that's what he said. hard of hearing? @@JimEdmiston
so you believe him more as a gangster 😂
Nigel is the next Daniel Day Lewis. Absolute genius artiste.
I mean that accent is the best ive ever heard an American doing a posh British 😂
I hate when they do posh british accent only white British speak that way
@@J.Wolf90 What accent do you have?
It's genuinely more convincing than Idris Elba's English accent.
@@J.Wolf90 Idear isn't a word plus there's over 40 British accents. Your comment is cringe.
@@jackroutledge352 idris is English...
My favorite part of this is that the fake English accent actually peaks through a bit when Key switches to American. That’s pretty impressive.
Key is pretty talented he can play a black British on any media but a lot of British people play American instead of the other way around
He's smart and talented.
He’s wife is a dialect coach
Idris Elba making a career out of pretending to be a foundation black American 😂
No it just shows how much he can adapt. He even played Nelson Mandela. Americans struggle with English accents. Meryl Streep has a great english accent.
😂😂😂
Which is why it is called acting lol. It is an actual job
His role in The Wire was very well done
That what actor do that the real definition of acting you are pretending so there's nothing wrong with idris elba playing american Forrest Whitaker play idi amine but is not african the point is that they job
Everyones praising Key for his british accent but can we appreciate how great Peele's authentic gangster from the streets but with deliberately bad acting comes across
Ummmmm it’s bad since Peele’s not from the streets.
@@thorocomments817 ok then, that's completely unrelated to my comment but sure thing buddy
I agree with him. He would have acted better if he was truly from the streets.
But he's so boring to watch though.
i quoted the video, Professor. @@lurkzie
“What’s a mom” got me😂😂😂
He says "What's a mum" He knows what a mom is, he just doesn't understand Nigel's accent
My only gripe with the whole skit is that they could have said mUm more clearly. It did sound like Mom
Funniest part 😂
It was his reply of Oh Dear that got me 🤣
TG: thats just about the saddest thing i ever heard get said
The "That's very gracious of you to say that" after punching the director 😂😂😂
Ironic that Jordan Peele ended up hiring a British dude to play american black characters in his movies. XD
and that british guy was amazing in Get out.
@@IronheartvsMiles And Nope
He was great. I guess that's what happens when choosing who you think is the best person for the job.
Not really. It is what it is... British are often the beast actors and musicians
Might've inspired this sketch lol
That "Oh Dear.." was brilliant.
Jordan Peele's side-eye is so perfect.
U mean the man who played Megan?
When he said “or something to that effect” I lost it. 😂😂😂
Ice Cube VS Idris Elba.
I love that Antoine actually tries to take the note every time
Colin Hanks is hilarious in his own right. You know he knows the director he's playing😂
Nigel your perfect. Antwan transform. 😂
This isn't a Marvel movie, there is no Antman.
You're*
Antoine*
Man, I don't believe in your grammar mistakes. You could make them more authentic
Any man whose own mother wanted to send him to an awful place like Leeds knows real pain, lol.
Love the meta of this. It really does feel this way these days with acting 😂
How so?
@@Michael_Print why do u think they made this? It was intentional
It's become this way with _everything._ I'm neither in acting, nor a man who is African American, but this feeling of not knowing the extent to which someone is unintentionally clueless or intentionally gaslighting is too familiar. In the hyper-postmodernism of today, not only has the representation replaced the reality it was supposed to point to, the reminder of an underlying reality has become an offense to the representation.
@@cheapseats12don’t dodge the question. What examples do you know of this being the case in real life?
@@MmmmiloJust let him be. He just wanted to sound smart. Bet he will just reply to you with something other than what you are asking. 😂
When you're such a great actor, that u can play an actor that never acted before
Yo the surprise on their faces when he says he was born on the streets of bk. 😂😂😂
I swear they are the funniest duo ever!!! They are amazing and carried this whole show. "Something to that effect."
They're so talented. Really funny.
"He's boring to watch..." I'm dead.
no you are not, look up the definition of the word ''dead''
He's not lying
incredible talent guys! hats off. Made me laugh so hard after a long time.
Black actor : What's wrong? Hollywood Producer : I don't think that's black enough. Black actor. What do you mean, not black enough, but I'm black.
Hollywood Producer: did you Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder?
I remember the article that said Indris Elba's character wasn't black enough because he didn't have black friends or eat Caribbean food.
'conundrum' had me 😂
That's one of the few word i couldn't grasp
Gaslighting 101😂
The cup of tea is the best part of this whole thing.
Of course the white dude thinks the British actor is more authentically “street” than the American that actually lived that life 😂
You serious? We should've never brought you to the west. Gosh what have we done.
@@lullaby218 I’m Mexican
😂
@@hiphopsince81😂😂😂😂 When they get their racism mixed up
Gosh, it reminds me of when I thought the American character I was listening to on a BBC radio drama was doing a terrible American accent and it turned out he was American 😂 I felt so sheepish!
I got the vibe ice cube was the yanky and idris alba was the brit. 😂
Went from British to Tropic Thunder.
Absolutely brilliantly done. Brilliant. I can really feel it, here.
Keegan even trinks tea instead of coffee😅
Another Brilliant bit!
Ah yes, prep school in Leeds, best of the best
They killed this! 🔥 🔥 🔥
made me chuckle
“Like, I don’t need this because. I am from the streets. I was IN a gang…” 😩
This is an underrated skit 😂
This is so Alfred Enoch 😂 STOOPPPP!!!!!!
Brilliant Brit accent. Exceptional.
If he shoots the director, would that be authentic enough?
😂😂😂
He be dead...he won't feel it. 😂
The cops will arrest Nigel cause nobody believes Antwan is real
Director in heaven: "I still don't believe you"
It'd be an authentic shoot for sure lol
"Okay let's try that even happier and uh... With your mouth open"
Love how no one has caught on to the director is Tom Hank's son, Colin Hanks
we did we just dont name drop like you 😇

Bro had a conundrum in choosing school & my man here didn't know what's a mum
This is based on "Harsh Times" with Christian Bale and Freddy Martinez with the director David Ayer 😂
I can totally relate !!! Last week someone tried to rob me at gunpoint but even after he shot me twice I still don't believe him....
This is brilliant and spot on!!! 😂😂😂😂 Gotta give it to the Brits/English actors .... they're amazing in their art.
The way Nigel handoffs the firearm. 😂
I've always wanted to act but this situation really wants me to be in the acting community 😊
Franklin and Leon 😭
Damson Idris in snowfall
I don't believe you!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Speaks RP but says "me mum" lol
Everyone talking about it being British but it seems to me like its more like rich people not understanding roles about hard life... They get a lot wrong in Hollywood because they are so out of touch with reality and it seems like a narrative on that more so than the british thing... NGL thougg they do be acting like some British actors are just the best ever inspite of others great performances
I'm British and think it all comes down to statistics. We share a very western identity with America meaning it's easy for us to work alongside one another but, the UK's population and acting population are a fraction of Hollywood Americans. In this view, we're like the tasty syrup in a nice mug of coffee. Adding something extra to something already great and people drink it right up, hence why British actors will always find their way over. I honestly like the talent pool and relationship between our two countries. We DO work well together and I hope it never changes.
British accent... spot on mite, cheers !!!
What's a mum? 😂😂😂
What’s a mum?? Lol this is so funny
Colin Hanks is hilarious in this
Anyone caught the Nigel Thornberry reference with “smashing”? 😂
.....Or something to that Effect'.................................... Bwhahahahahaha! This is Gold.....
Prep school at Leeds 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝 Best posh English accent from an American, ever!
Getting strong vibes from Tropic Thunder
No one has a problem with black British actors. The problem is Hollywood believing Black british actors are somehow harder working because they can do an American accent or possibly cooler because they have a British accent? It's weird.
No such thing as a British accent
@@marknewbold2583What? Do you break them down into English accent vs Scottish accent, etc? Or do you mean Brits don't have a specific accent?
There are many British accents, of course. They were cooking the language for centuries before the colonial diaspora that produced the other English-speaking countries.
“What’s a mum” 😭😭😭
He sounds just like Jude Law🤣🤣🤣
Cheers mate😂
We know real gangsters use words like "conundrum."
white dude is a real producer even the punches don't feel real😂
Haha this is great. Watch Roy Wood jr do a joke about finding out that Idris Elba was british.
I appreciate that Antoine did get better.

Ohhhhh my!!! He nailed the British accent!!!!
Not really.
Nah, he captured the essence of a young London theatre actor getting high praise in the US - still sounds like every American attempt at a British accect.
@@archieunvaccinatedforever4793 no it doesnt he nailed it for sure
@@jameskid81 Are you British yourself? Are you aware of the many different regional accents and dialects? Because everytime a yank attempts to do one its the same one Key did in the sketch, which I still enjoyed for the record.
@@archieunvaccinatedforever4793 Yes lived in London most of my life then Tunbridge Wells which is kinda that accent
He’s spot on and sounds more British than most British 😂
What's a mom😂😂😂
The irony of this from Peele after Sam Jackson's comments on Get Out's casting British actor Daniel Kaluuya. Why hasn't there been a Spiderman from New York? From Queens? Have they even tried? All those actors in New York and not one? Said it for years: British actors get extra credit & cast some type of spell over casting directors for speaking English in two accents.
The average successful British actor: joins prestigious performing arts school as a child/teenager, receives years of classical training, including how to do those fake accents. Starts honing their craft via small TV and theatre roles. Eventually lands big role in show or movie but by this point already has YEARS of acting experience. The average successful American actor: I dropped out of school and moved to New York/Hollywood cos I wanted to be on Broadway/a movie star!😃
