Something i really like about RDR2 is that the developers took it seriously, i mean just the amount of work they put in on getting the movement of the horses correct is mindboggling
It is spectacular.
Hahaaa i know what youre implying. The horses are very dynamic
@@ArizonaGhostriders yeah, i agree too. Show me another game where the horses move as fluid & physically accurate as rdr1, let alone 2. Even in games like Last of Us 2, where the graphical & mechanical achievements r cutting edge, the horses feel off.
@@Mvn06 Amazing they could do so well with the horses.
I think that too many of the older guys in the Old West hobby forget that the young generations are the heirs to this legacy, not the enemies of it. I'm glad that the turnout was a hit.
Excellent point!
I'm so glad you had fun. I can safely say that without Red Dead 2, I would not have found your channel, but since I have, it's made me very happy. History was always my favorite school subject and the old west has a lot of charm to it!
Thank You!
The game helps too keep the spirit of the old west alive and that is great and well deserved attention!
yes!
Being a history nerd, I wanted to get Arthur to look like a historically accurate cowboy in the late 1890s. I found your channel while looking and have since learned a ton about gear and clothing of the Wild West. Thank you for all the great videos Santee!
Very cool!
I've never played it but it looks realistic
It is an Awesome game. Give it a try. The story is as good as any good Western movie. 🚬😎
Very cool game
Trust me when I say, you Owe it to yourself to play this game.
You would not believe how fun it is
You have to play it
My son plays the game and it has led him to ask plenty of questions about history and guns. I can't wait to share this video with him! Good stuff, Santee!
Thank You!
For me it was vice versa i was intrested in the history of the old west, and found your channel and thanks to one of your videos in which you showcased red dead redemption i started playing it.
🤠🤠🤠
Same here. I’m not much of a video game guy but I do play that and Oregon Trail lol
Never been into video games, but I must say the artwork is great. Having been an artist for 40 years I can appreciate what went into this project.
It is pretty amazing
Nice to meet you, Santee! And thanks for the little montage! Don’t know what I did to deserve that!
Isn’t it cool?! He featured me too haha. Very very cool. Your gun spinning is sweet!
Any time!
🥃
You humble rascal! 😊
I'm one of the folks that found your channel from your Red Dead reviews.. Now I'm hooked on your content, keep up the great work!
Thank You!
Hey Santee! Great vid, and thank you so much for featuring a bit of my gameplay in your vid! That was really cool, I appreciate it! Very honored!
Sure thing! I no longer have any from when I played it, and you kick butt as a gamer. Also, you are very supportive and always have been!
@@ArizonaGhostriders Thank you so much! I go out there and rock my gaming just like I try to rock my life, playing a sport, anything! You have been very supportive as well! I even dedicated my Twitch stream to you tonight as well, and as you might have guessed, I played RDR2!
@@BJBlaskovichGaming Wooohoo!!
That's really cool! I didn't hear about this event. Looks like the day wasn't too hot for July. Cool that you ran into Saint Andrew there.
I was hoping to find him.
Red Dead was the WHOLE reason i got into the old west. I love this channel and i've learned so much from it! Thank you kindly Arizona Ghostriders!
You're very welcome.
It was absolutely amazing! I met people from all over the country, plus a couple from Canada. Talking with other people about it, there were people there from Italy, England, Japan, New Zealand, and South Africa! The business owners all said that the attendees were all very pleasant. One thing though, the organizer wants to do it in a different city next year. I hope he can be convinced to keep it in Tombstone.
We shall see what transpires.
Awesome stuff. Thank you very for the Great Old West Content. Old West History is my favorite of all. Have a blessed weekend.
Thank You!
This man will truly never run out of old West content god bless
I appreciate ya
Rdr1 and 2, longmire and old western shows and movies were my entire childhood made me fall in love with the western genre
Awesome!
I have enjoyed re-creating the past since before the internet. I started in the 80s with an old west shootout troop here in the panhandle of Texas. Unfortunately the group fell apart many years ago. I am also a casual gamer. I don't recall how I found you but seeing you cover Red Dead Redemption thrilled me.
Very awesome!
@@ArizonaGhostriders i really miss it
Seeing your video on RDR2 brought me (and many others) here almost half a decade ago. Been a fan ever since and no Saturday morning is complete until I watch the latest episode. Thanks for all the great videos, and congrats on over 100k subscribers.
Thank You!
I grew up with parents and grandparents who watched Bonanza religiously in Norway. So I've always loved the Wild West, and now I've taken up the hobby of miniature terrain building with Cowboy themes. There is something special about the old Wild West.
Oh cool!! Do you have photos or videos??
I just want to congratulate you on your channel's success sir. I was here before RDR2, but it is so great to see how many people found your content and can appreciate the hard work you put into every video. Thanks for the regular Saturday videos. Stay safe out there, and take it easy man.
Much appreciated!
I found the channel through your review of Red Dead and I’m so glad I did. I have a place in my heart that really wants to go to old Tucson studios and without you guys it’s probably something I’d never think of. So thank you! The channel is great and I hope it continues to grow 🙌
Thank You!
I remember when the first one came out! It was well received then too. Congrats on your subs! And it warms my heart to see a great crossover collaboration between our past and technology of today.❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
It was great to see you roaming the streets of Tombstone during the event! I love the game and westerns in general. I am excited to attend Redemption 2 and anxious to hear the next location for the event.
Me too. Thanks!
I still have my PS2 red dead revolver is a go to game -still
🤠
Sick! I wish I could have been there! Maybe in the next RDR they’ll have Santee voice “Santee,” the intellectual history professor by day and the vigilante outlaw at night (and all weekend…)!
That would be cool!
Very nice, Santee. It's always good to see more things about westerns and the old west.
More to come!
I played the first game maybe two or three years after it first released, but the frontier obsession really began with the sequel
Awesome
Congratulations Santee. Thus is such good news. Great stuff. Thanks.
Thank you!
Didn't even know this was a event. That is awesome!
Yup
New to your channel. I live and work in Cochise County. I heard about this event late and I had a schedule conflict that weekend. Glad the event went well for everyone.
Thanks. They will probably do another one. Hope to meet you.
Always a treat watching you guys, especially when you're stuck at home.
Glad you enjoy it!
Congratulations on a fun, successful celebration and busting that 100,000 sub!
Thanks so much!!
Dangit, can’t believe I missed you! Great time, I hope they do something like this again
Me too!
Was a great event. Was great to see you and break bread, well brisket and beans! Great neckerchief!
HAA! Yes it was. Thanks for the bandana, pard.
Nice video Santee, great work!!
Thank you very much!
Thank you Santee, wow that was a great turn out. Have a super weekend. :)
Thanks, you too!
Dang it, I was hunting you Santee! I just knew you'd be around, but didn't see ya! One day we'll cross paths and share a cold something or other! Thanks for covering the event!
Awww, darn! I had a good time covering it. Next time!
Good to see something keeping the younger generations interested in our history
Right!!
This was great.
Thank You!
WHAT IN TARNATION ! 🤠
LOL!
No way!!! I would have loved that! I may have to plan a trip next year.
Yes!
This is great to see!... I too subscribed after going mad for RDR2 and the old west. Keep up the good work.
Thank You!
Why would I want to buy a tombstone? It's the last thing I need. What I want written on my tombstone: "Not appreciating puns was a grave mistake." On the atheist tombstone. "All dressed up and no place to go."
HAHAH!
My grandpa loves westerns and has some guns so he bought me red dead redemption with an Xbox and that’s how my love came to be and the sheer hype when it was announced
Yeah!
Another good video Santee. I too never played it any games on computer, but just your short video looks great. Looked like a lot of fun at tombstone. I seen video covering it. This person said won’t be back next yr, as moving it around.
We'll see where it lands.
@@ArizonaGhostriders yes, I agree. Whatever looked good tombstone good for business too Santee.
Santee, sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing this, very informative. 😊
It is!
I grew up watching a few Westerns with my dad, but I really got into it because of Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2
Cool
Good to see Saint Andrew on there!
He's a good feller
I went the first day the 29th and I was telling my lady I was hoping I’d run into you when we went and hopefully get a picture but sadly I did not get to run into you. You’re my favorite KZheadr. Thank you for always giving us great content .
Oh no!! I walked around for a couple hours getting footage and talking to folks. So sorry I missed you.
I discovered the Ghostriders because of your review of RDR2. I follow Ben Davis (Dutch) on social media and watched some of his lives. I knew you would be there somewhere. Thanks for keeping the old west alive and for all you taught me and the world.
You're welcome, Ryan!
Santee's review of RDR2 was my first Arizona Ghostriders video I been hooked since love the channel
Thanks much!!!!
Sounds like a lot of fun! BTW - if you've never seen the 2021 movie Old Henry - you have to find it online.
I saw it. Great movie.
The bit about lumbago killed me. So I'm essentially a ghost now 👻🤠
HA!
It was amazing getting to finally meet you in person and especially an honor to be featured in your video! Hope to see you next year
Thank you so much!
My god. I have never felt so jealous in my life. You lucky bastards. Such a cool event. I wish one day I attend this event in future.
I hear the next one may be in Deadwood!!
I have watch your channel about 2 or 3 weeks now and I love your channel keep up the good work
Awesome! Thank you!
Love that others loves this game
They really do!
I never was one for video games much BUT if there’s a game that get younger folks interested in the historical times of the 1800’s then I like em!! Thanks for enlightening me on this subject!
Cool!
I grew up with my stepdad and grandpa watching westerns and I got got on a kick in my early 20s (early 2000s) and began collecting films. But when RDR1 was announced I went deeper into Wild West history. And now I have over 60 books on Wild West history because of the first game.
Awesome!!!
That "Volcanic Repeater" in Red Dead Redemption was absolutely silly though! The originals are super rare, can't be unloaded, and they fired a super weak cartridge that was long extinct by 1899. It was the mechanism for the Henry Rifle, but gun nuts like me get turned off by Steam Punk Farbyness like that in video games and movies. 😎👍
That gun and the pistol version tend to be used in a lot of western games. A failure of a gun becomes the one everyone wants.
Somehow, I knew you were going to cover Tombstone Redemption, given you covered the game. I'm gonna try to make it for next year.
I needed to see it for myself.
My wife and I said for weeks before this that we hoped you'd be there and we kept an eye out for you all weekend hoping to meet you. We are really bummed to learn you were there and we missed you. We hope to get another chance next time!
Sorry we missed each other!
@@ArizonaGhostriders maybe next time. We loved Tombstone and definitely want to come back one day.
Great video Santee
Glad you enjoyed it
Great game Santee, I played it with my son! Looked like fun. Im off to the Iron railroad today. Might see Mitch!
Say Hi to Mitch for me. Tell him he's a no good rapscallion.
@@ArizonaGhostriders Mitch said hi! He also said you love using rapscallion lol! The jesse james train robbery was fun. My son had a blast!
Great video Santee! Looks like a great time. Have a great weekend! Cheers!
It was!
Wow I remember us planning out the original video!!
You helped me so much, David! Thanks.
Great episode Santee, Looks like a really fun game and event. JT
It was!
I love red dead I have been playing it since 2019
Awesome
Omg lol, i just found out they were here!! I live very close to Tombstone if i knew about this sooner. Hell, I would be the first in line! I love this video game and it helped me get through a lot. I will meet the cast one day though! 😂❤
Next year may be in a different location.
Love your channel Santee! Which Henry Fonda movie was that clip from at 1:13?
Warlock
@@ArizonaGhostriders Oh wow! I dont think I have heard of that one. Thanks!! Once again love the channel man thanks for the content!
You're welcome@@CerdaTX
😄@@CerdaTX
I'm just in my twenties but growing up, I didn't really have TV consistently, my dad had a bunch of old VHS tapes and later DVDs of shows like Bonanza, Little House on the Prairie, and Gunsmoke, as well as an old NES Gunsmoke game. I started out REALLY disliking it but about a year or two of it I kinda became obsessed. Red Dead Redemption really set it in stone though, I think both the first and second games are why I appreciate the legend of the era, but the shows made me wanna look into the reality of it a bit more. Love the channel, keep up the good work, me and my buddies get excited every time we see a new release
Thank You!
Hey Santee !! I'm one of those guys who came to your channel thanks to Red Dead ! Since then, I'm coming to your videos on each release, such a pleasure to learn more about that exciting Era! Thank you for all of your work ! Cheers from France
Merci!
Red dead redemption 2 induced my interest in westerns which lasts to this day.
Awesome to hear!
Really hope I'm able to go next year, working on my fast draw 🤠
I hope so too!
I'm really bummed I didn't get to go to this event. I had tickets for the Q&A but I had some stuff come up. I've been a huge fan of the Red Dead Franchise for years all the way back to the Revolver days.
Next time!
I’ve been playing on red dead redemption two since it first came out and I’m still playing this game after a long day at work there’s nothing more relaxing than jumping onto the game and riding my horse across the wild frontier
Cool!
Dang... would've liked to have gone.... I'm right here in Sierra Vista and didn't even hear about this. I'm planning on coming out here next year and maybe I can time it for next years event. Where would I find info on this?
www.tombstoneredemption.com/
If it's happening again I'm definitely saving up.
Cool
well, you made it. just watched Razorfist's rant and he was wearing an Arizona Ghostriders t-shirt.
Cool!
Great video. By chance, have you done an episode on pastors/saddle bag pastors yet?
Yes
@@ArizonaGhostriders Ok. Thank you! I'll go back through and look.
I'm still playing RDR2 5 years later.
Cool!
RDR2 brought me to this channel years ago… and I never looked back Edit: Saint Andrew ⭐️
Thank You!
@@ArizonaGhostriders … this family friendly entertainment kept me coming back for more, god bless
Sounds like a fun event.
It seemed like it from my view.
The first red dead redemption is also a good western highly recommend!
Yes
I remember red dead redemption introduced me to the western genre, I never thought too much about the wild west but after playing both games it taught me alot about American history and the story was phenomenal, it's amazing how it's loved worldwide, sure it might not be for everyone but for me it's something that I'll never forget it
Very cool!
Wow! Red Dead Redemption II. And And I was impressed with Wild Gunman on Nintendo as a boy. (Remember Marty showing his skills from that game in the old west and winning a Colt Peacemaker in Back to the Future 3). Another great episode Santee!
Thank You!
Awesome as always !!!!!
Thank You!
Ever notice how much Dirty Dan looks like Uncle? I can’t imagine why I would think an old lazy drunk would be like Dan.
Well, he is not lazy, nor a drunk...but he does have lumbago.
I am so mad I missed it definitely going next year
OK!
This looks so cool, Santee. I'm not usually a gamer, but... I think it's nice when people draw attention to other people's channels.🎉 a great video, as always... I bet noone in the Old West had a shirt as white as yours.😎😂🤠👏
Yeah I agree! Closer inspection on that ivory shirt reveals some stains on it. Rust, leather dye, etc.
I’m very honored that Santee chose me!!! Thanks Santee!
@@BJBlaskovichGaming 👏🤠👏
Very cool, Santee! I love bagels too but I don't see how that would keep you from attending next year.
HAHA!
Man, i wish i was there!
Next year!
@@ArizonaGhostriders Haha, ill be there!
Man wish i coulda went ,then i coulda told people i Met Arthur Morgan and Santee in the same day!
Awww!
Long live the old West! Yippee ki-yay!! And many thanks to you Santee!, Thanks for all your hard work and time Sir.🤠
Very nice of you!
I played and loved red dead revolver, red dead redemption. But have not play red dead redemption 2 yet. That event looks like so much fun.
It was
I could listen to your intros on repeat my friend
Nice of you to say!
I wish I could have been there. My favorite town and my favorite game Mixed together. Hopefully i can make it next year.
I heard it may move to another location
@ArizonaGhostriders that sucks. Such a perfect place for it. I am guessing they want to go to a bigger town for a bigger event.
I volunteered my time to the town of Tombstone and was a money Handler for one of the actors. I will describe this function as being Loosely organized and somewhat chaotic. No breaks no food and no tip. Cowboy up
Most of them the first time are. It was a huge success, though.
