The episode that revolved around the death of Iroh's son was actually the episode someone else started to voice Iroh. It was actually a tribute episode, the original VA died. He was replaced by his student which is why almost no one could tell the difference. His student did an exceptional job at 100% perfecting every intonation of Iroh.

Hollows go to the soul society too. The zanpaku-to cleanses them of whatever sin stained their hands as a hollow and allows them to enter the soul society. If said hollow committed serious sins, they’d go straight to hell, but if they were clean in life, then when they become a hollow, and is neutralized by a soul reaper, they retain their human form and go to the soul society
When souls die they get turned into reishi tho.
"who are you, or maybe I should ask.. WHAT are you?.." The fact Ichigo at this time had enough understanding of reiatsu to feel that Yachiru was not a normal soul.. just speaks to his potential, and I love the foreshadowing.

And have known since that exact moment, that it has to be his friking sword. I think we all have.
Interesting Foreshadowing. A small but important moment, to let you know that Yachiru was definitely not anything resembling a Soul Reaper, and Ichigo knew at first glance but didn't fully understand how.
Kenpachi and Ichigo are probably the best rivalry in the series. every time they interact is intense and hype.

If it wasn't for the 16 million metric tons of plot armor Ichigo had; he would have been dead the instant the fight started.
In retrospect, despite the flaws, he didnt have enough plot armor. That ...was likely his quincy genes. And also kenpachi had been horribly out of shape.

Proof you didn't read the manga, but after the new bleach episode even as you yourself, an anime watcher, should know that Kenpachi was holding back unconsciously after the first fight with Unohana, kenpachi gained even more strength after going all out (still unconsciously holding back ofc) against ichigo. Ichigo was already pretty much captain level and then kenpachi was at that level if not higher and plus the near death boost. So yeah there's a perfect explanation on why he had gotten stronger.
Funny enough, he's probably one of the safer captains to run into, assuming you don't get one shot by him. If you're not able to continue fighting, he completely loses interest and leaves 😂

But the craziest thing is... how did literally no one whatsoever know, even the head captain, that she was a Zanpakto. And it's even more mind blowing that Kenny's sword is so immensely powerful it is the only one to actually manifest itself into physical form of its own free will, disregarding the zanpakto arc

I think it's because her spiritual pressure was on a different level from Ichigos and Renjis at the time. Like when Aizen couldn't sense anything from Ichigo in their final fight

Man so much foreshadowing in this fight. 1:55 Ichigo asks Yachiru what she is: He can sense she isn't a soul reaper. Ichigo has always had insane spiritual perception even before he awoke his soul reaper powers. He can tell right away she isn't a normal spirit despite the fact she passes as one easily to other soul reapers. 7:45 "Old Man Zangetsu" manifests before Ichigo and lends him power. However as we all know this isn't truly Zangetsu, but a manifestion of Ichigo's quincy side. He asks Ichigo if he wants to live, or to win. By replying "win" he forces "Old Man Zangetsu" to release some of the power he restrains from the soul reaper half. I think if Ichigo would have answered "Live" then he would have quietly healed him with the Blut Vene. 8:00 Kenpachi is bewildered by the fact Ichigo was able to heal himself because this isn't something Soul Reapers can just do typically. His quincy half kicked in and regenerated his body via Blut Vene. 10:45 Ichigo's spiritual pressure mainfests as his hollow mask. Because the power is coming from the real Zangetsu.

1 thing wrong tho Blutvene does not heal. It just amplifies the defense. His seal on his hollow powers were weakened a bit, that's how he healed. Hollows are the once known for healing, quincys are the ones buffing themselves with Blutvene or blutaterie but that wasn't unlocked at that point yet. This was purely his shinigami and hollow powers unlocked by his inner quincy

techically wouldnt it be quincy quarter? father is Soul reaper/human and mother is quincy / hollow. i hadnt read the manga foeawhile but that uruhara said when he saved the mom anyways. but yeah the foreshadow on the kenpachi bankai is insane almost oda level.

From my understanding, the only member of the big three with rather poor foreshadowing (or just flat out depending entirely on retcons) is Naruto.
Seeing kenpachi just walking through the sword and letting it cut him is so badass. Rewatching this has made me realize how hard a soulslike bleach game could go.
Anyone else notices the WHITE SKULL at the back of Ichigo during their final attack. Old Man was the one who was guiding Ichigo but the power he unsealed was not Old Man"s . Love the foreshadowing.

I really loved these earlier fights before ichigo hit his bankai. I felt like they were more stakes and the battles were intense and suspenseful like with ichigo vs renji. The fights still are good later on, but these are for me a lot memorable.
It's weird, but in this situation Ichigo is actually the bad guy. Breaking into the Seretie, defying Soul Reaper order, and attacking Soul Reaper personel
Maybe, but isn’t it also kinda extreme for the soul society to execute someone who only illegally shared their powers, and didn’t come back for a while? Maybe the loss of your position, but execution was a pretty extreme punishment, given the circumstances

@@wb7585 tbh soul society is pretty incompetent half the problems in the show could be solved if Yamamoto thought for 2 secs and got off his lazy ass. Aizen shows up with the espada and he refused to help till everyone is getting destroyed and aizen has enough time for the hygogyu to take effect. Ywach attacks well before the full invasion and he's still caught off guard. Half the soul society is getting destroyed and we know Yamamoto could easily wipe out the lower serttiners gives zaraki took out 3 yet he goes straight to ywach leaving the others to fend for themselves. Also decides to pop his bankai despite countless people already using there's and prior warning of a bankai sealing technique all of this on a whim that he thought it wouldn't work on his. 🤦 Also the soul society having 2 of the strongest captains fight to the death knowing they just lost a considerable amount of power.

It crazy how this is actually his Blut Vein that kept him alive here, then his quincy powers was flowing with the help of his actual Zanpakuto White.
I'm not sure this is just blut vein alone but rather that and ratsotengai because the blut is sealing his wounds and ratsotengai would allow him to move again

This fight was so thrilling when I first saw it. I still feel the chills. I miss this era of anime.
It's also huge when you come back and look at kenpachi, at the time, thought he would have little to no growth as a character, thought he was just a monster among capatins but turns out he's a monster amongst monsters x10

Man this makes so much sense now. It doesn't look that implausible that Kubo actually had the kind of core-plotline of the story planned from the start. There are so many levels about "restricting your inner power" in this fight

A perfect fight that happened at the exact perfect point of the series where it's the maximum awesome it can possibly be between two of the coolest characters in anime at that time. This was Rock Lee vs Gaara shit for Bleach. The coolest moment of the anime. To my tastes.

Bleach has the best foreshadowing of the big 3. Most of the major twists in the final arcs are subtly hinted at throughout the plot.

Kenpachi the only anime villain to join the heroes and still be extremely useful.

Imagine if kenpachi had actually made his sword a partner. Ichigo would lose for sure. But this is where powers just exploded up. Before they weren’t even comparable to naruto but here the just cut building no difficulty and create huge explosions that are never seen in naruto. Damn. It was a spike in power levels.

I think Seitz does a much better job in TYBW than he originally did in the OG anime, but it just doesn’t top Lodge for me personally. There’s just something about it. Lodge makes Kenpachi sound equal parts calculating, befitting of his rather high battle IQ, and maniacal. Seitz is better at portraying his brutish, violent nature.

The thing with ichigo and kempachi is that ichigo has a lot of latent potential basically meaning he’ll grow a lot faster than anyone else so tracking his power at the beginning is kinda pointless, while with kempachi he find out near the end of the manga that he subconsciously makes himself weaker too enjoy battle and it takes onohanna killing him over and over again for him to finally be able to fight 100% even with a Bankai

Was so focused on the fight first time watching it I didn't even notice how he was able reforge zangetsu after kenpachi shattered him
