Zaraki fights Gremmy after saving Yachiru from being killed by Gremmy's powers which made her body turning into cookie. As the fights goes on, Zaraki uses his Shikai and cuts a meteor like it was nothing. If you guys like the video please like and subscribe for more videos in the future. Because he/Gremmy doesn't have experience of fighting due to imprisoned or locked in cage by Yhwach (in novel Bleach Can't Fear Your Own World). All Sternritters or even Quincies afraid of him due to his imagination power, except Liltotto; one of Bambietta/Bambi's friend who doesn't afraid of him. Lili is the only Gremmy's friend.

Tite Kubo always does an outstanding job with Kenpachi's fight scenes. This was amazing to watch and see how it all pans out. Kubo always gives you a hint on how Kenny's opponent loses.

People in the comments dont understand that Gremmy's power is actually a nightmare. You can't have doubts. You must be calm all the time. You must uninterruptedly blindly believe. Zaraki won because he was a perfect counter to this state of mind. Gremmy didnt want to kill Zaraki, only until he got into his mind, but at that moment, he already lost.

he can. But against Zaraki, that was the first time it was someone he wanted to win against, not to kill. If he wanted to kill him he would as we saw him LEGIT trapping Zaraki into a SPACE/VOID. People having the wrong idea that Grammy is dumb, but they don't get the idea that he wanted to win. After the meteor AND space/void did not work, it's only then when he wanted to win. But at first, he was just toying with Zaraki AND. When Zaraki did that speech, he STARTED to want to win against Zaraki. There's a difference between want to win, and want to kill. He didn't WANT to kill Zaraki, just to win
he's not lacking as I said before. He LEGIT imagined both Kensei and Rose dead which they were. The reason they are alive, is because 1: Grammy fought Zaraki which AS ZARAKI SAID, Grammy CANNOT have more than effect being active AT THE SAME TIME as strong as the original. 2 he was defeated by not being able to image a body strong enough to handle Zaraki's strength

They all have their limits, so he can't just do that in a middle of a fight. He can imagine someone being dead yes as he did to Rose and Kensei. But the only two reasons WHY they are ALIVE, is because one: Grammy imagination has stopped and two: Mayuri used his drug and capsule to "revive" them in exchange for their life span as they were zombies right after Mayuri's fight

Wish in BLEACH TYBW cour 2 English Dub, Gremmy's English Dub voiced by Zach Aguilar [That would be irony both English and Japanese dub of Gremmy same as Tanjiro in Demon Slayer]. yup lol. This fight was legit meant to represent Zaraki as someone who loves to fight and is free from everything and does what he wants. On the other hand, Gremmy is a brain who was being brought by Yhwach and his freedom was taken away by Yhwach. And when Gremmy got outside as an actual human body, everyone knew he would body them, so there was no reason to fight them so he didn't had a reason to fight. And when Gremmy fought the others, it was shown how op he is. But when he fought Zaraki, it was the first one who Gremmy actually wanted to win against not to kill him. So it was to show that he didn't get any experience fighting and got his freedom by Zaraki, plus he is a brain who later was used to be for Hikone in the light novel

kenpachi is the cheapest character in this anime, especially when every character kubo creates is made with so much care, no matter how little they will show up in the end. maybe if he was in some shitty generic show people could reach far enough to say he’s well written compared to the shallow characters that would surround him, but the dynamic kubo loves to create, either putting “similar” characters in a pit like he did with nnoitra and kenpachi, mayuri and szayel, etc, or the opposite, like this fight, just makes it even more obvious there’s not much to get from kenpachi other than when he first showed up waaay back in the soul society arc. and I’ll aggravate anyone reading this and say the only meaning he really had was to develop Ichigo’s character at the time lmao After that, every “character development” kenpachi gets is just really about the characters that surround him, not himself. his trope has been overused to death as well. This is peak fan favorite shit. Why he’s a fan favorite baffles me to this day and no one has been able to explain it beyond “haha funny big man with no brain, never seen that before! i wish i could take roids”.

This dude really pissed me off, he could invent millions of clones, a body the size of the metaverse, kill 90% of the Shinigami with less reiatsu than him. Imagine a coherent answer and intelligence, but instead he decided to play the fool and died like an idiot. In the end, at any moment he could have made it so that somewhere outside of the battle he would always have a living clone on a permanent basis so that he would not die completely, the dude could do anything, but he was leaked for the sake of the plot
it's not that. He has limits after all. Bleach is very strict series with Reiatsu. For example, if he can't imagine himself healing fast enough after getting attacked, the enemy would just keeping on attacking him like Zaraki did. And the first imagination would get weaker if he imagine a lot of things as Zaraki said that his imagination powers couldn't continue forever on Yachiru since he is fighting Zaraki, to which Gremmy agreed. Gremmy is a brain who was taken by Yhwach and Yhwach gave him this power. So this entire fight ISN'T about winning or losing, it's about a guy who always loved fighting (Zaraki) and had a freedom to do what he wanted. On the other hand, Zaraki is a brain who never had a chance to go to the outside world. And even if he did, most people were afraid of him, so fighting wasn't even a thought as they knew he was too op. In the manga, Hashwalth wanted to even others to protect Yhwach when he saw the meteor, but Yhwach just watched as he knew what would happen. So even if he does imagine something, his powers are still unmastered against a guy who can cut anything

And assuming he did, what then? No one besides Zaraki could really deal with him in the Soul Reapers besides Aizen, Kisuke, and Mayuri. Which even then, even Mayuri wouldn't

Ya know... I read the manga originally, and watched the anime scenes as they came out but... I never thought about it, but Kenpachi's zanpakuto literally *has* the power to cut through anything. He wasn't just flexing; he was being literal. That's Nozarashi's ability. It's not just a big sword, it has the power to cut through anything. Makes sense now.

In the actual episode he explains why
he did imagine that he wouldn't be able to cut him a few times during the fight. It's just that, Grammy can only use his powers and imagine things with 100%. And if he happens to try to imagine another thing, the first one which he imagines will not happen anymore. This is why Yachiru's arm is okay, this is why Rose and Kensei are still alive even after imagining themselves dead which they were. As for why he didn't imagine Zaraki dead, he could have, but Zaraki was just him, and it wouldn't work. Also, Grammy wanted to win that fight and imagined Zaraki's death wouldn't count as a win for him as never had someone to fight like that other than Zaraki.

There was only 4 shinigamis capable to defeat Gremmy: Zaraki, Aizen, Yamamoto and Ichibei. Gremmy was terrible stronger than most of all shinigamis in Soul society. His lost kind decided the war to the shinigamis.

And Zaraki, always loved to fight and had the freedom to do so. Gremmy saw no point in fighting cause everyone was afraid of him so Gremmy saw no point fighting anyone, which is why he just used the basic things. He killed Rose and Kensei to show his powers and how op he is to someone who's not Zaraki. And when Zaraki showed up, Gremmy finally met someone like him, but Zaraki was free to do whatever he wanted to. So while Gremmy and Luffy have SIMILAR powers, both are NOT the same people and this is Bleach and this is One Piece, so OF COURSE Luffy has more freedom

not really. He has limitation as a human body (a kid) but originally was a brain, so doing stuff like that would have him concentrate everything he takes. And at the start, Grammy never wanted to win nor kill Zaraki. He only wanted to fight him after Zaraki did his speech and before that cut him alot. And only wanted to kill him by himself his own powers when Zaraki survived a meteor, space/void and the nuke bomb

nah. He was in a middle of a fight. He legit imagined both Kensei and Rose being dead and Yachiru's bones as cookies. But because it's a fight, it's hard to imagine a person being dead while they LEGIT attacking you. A person likely would try to run away or protect themselves instead

if he would, his other things he imagined would be weakened. Besides, even Grammy has weaknesses. People tend to forget that Quincies are normal humans with spiritual awareness. So Grammy can't imagine things like that in a middle of a fight to the death. Also, this is the first time Zaraki actually wanted to fight and win against a person. So of course he wouldn't be able to imagine the simplest things. Grammy can only imagine something that he happen to think about

Gremmy tried to do what he can to kill Zaraki. He used weapons that still did not exist in the Soul society, he tried to drown him, he tried to use a meteor but even THAT did not work. Not to mention, he actually put Zaraki into SPACE/VOID, and STILL didn't work. Like yeah, at first he was playing around, but after Zaraki cut Gremmy by making his own body as strong as steel, he took him seriously lol
Gremmy's power is limited by his spiritual pressure. He can't accomplish anything beyond its scope. As fate would have it, Kenpachi was far too powerful for Gremmy to simply imagine dead. In truth, about the only way he was going to win that fight was using brains over brawn. For example, putting Kenpachi in space actually hurt him. Gremmy could've conjured up a small black hole with his mind or something and won that way, potentially. But in a contest of power vs power? He never had a chance.
He probably need to firmly belive it in order to make it happens. If something isn't believable for him, it can't happens. The very moment zaraki was hyped to him and managed to slash him despite getting harder to steel, it was that moment gremmy could no longer ista-kill zaraki directly with his own abilities. He was not dealing with a weakling he could Immagine his bones being cookies, he was fighting against a formidable monster that he could kill only indirectly by summoning and using incredible firepower and imagination for doing so.
