    • I agree. Walt Disney was a visionary who made a great company that consistently produced quality family entertainment. I am 75 years old. When my parents read Snow White to me as a bedtime story there were good lessons to be gleaned from that fairy tale. The same lessons were contained in the very entertaining 1937 Disney animated Snow White movie which my generation saw as children and loved. The current Disney company is ruining its legacy.

    • She no doubt relies on many men in her private life as well. Goes for almost every single 'independant' woman out there. Most men aren't afraid to admit that women have their strengths and are very good at some things. That they have a hard time with those things that women tend to excelt at. But the other way around? Nope, more and more women are becoming completely delusional, thinking men aren't good at anything without using their brain to think. Granted, not all women are like that. But... the amount seems to be growing pretty strongly. Even worse, the amount of men with this kind of mindset seems to be growing very steeply as well (and of course it's not surprising that the people with these mindsets also tend to be haunted by mental disorders of all kinds). And it's hard to have a discussion with them since they're not open to talking. The moment they feel like their delusional belief is in danger, they pretty much close the discussion.

  • I'm an older woman who saw Snow White when I was just a girl in the early 70's. I didn't take away from that viewing that this was a love story. I took away that, although I wasn't as big, fast, strong, or coordinated as the boys I was pitted against in gym class, that I still had something to offer. The love in my heart and that I liked helping people and taking care of them was enough. Her relationships with the dwarves was what hit home. She had purpose everywhere she went by just expressing her compassion. Her beauty was spoken of, but it was her goodness that inspired me. Be a good person, give and love all you want and you will be appreciated for that alone. Love will come in its own time if you just be you. Of course I haven't seen the movie, but I highly doubt that the new Snow White will be making beds, doing laundry, and packing lunches for the people she loves. Sadly, those things aren't valued today. Final funny note: I grew up, married Grumpy, take care of him as best as I can, and he loves me to death. lol!

Now she has gotten the message that the studios set her up, especially Marvel - her film banked and the marketing on her being bossy and the oh-so important role for Endgame was cut short despite how ever many hours of material she might have shot (she should know best how much of her effort was wasted). • As a German, this is just depressing. Snow White is such a sweet and caring person who is incredibly young and naive in a cruel world. Her story isn't about love or empowering, it's about kindness and it's about friendship. Her description, to be pale as snow, is an essential part of the message as it symbolizes death and how she still deserves a happy end. The dwarfs are mythological creatures who learn to love her for her kindness and warmth, and they save her many times when the queen comes to kill her. There are different versions when it comes to the fairy tale's ending, and the point isn't even true love and how deep prince Philip is, it's about how after all those struggles, Snow White gets to live happily with a kind man and her friends and the queen is punished for her crimes. This is such a sweet fairy tale that highlights the warm and caring features of femininity. Of course, this is a very particular feminine stereotype, it's a medieval German fairy tale after all. It's OK to be warm and caring and to want to be compassionate and warm without the ambition of leadership. True feminism should empower women to live the way they are happy, that includes their most nurtering and compassionate side. Hollywood's continuous ridiculing of our fairy tales is sickening and revolting.

  • Snow White and the seven dwarfs is a beautiful story. It’s not about love, it’s a lesson on vanity and envy. Snow White was favored by everyone because of how genuine she was. She was full of life and never looked down on anyone. She never used her beauty to manipulate anyone. The queen mistakenly thought it was because of Snow White’s beauty. The lesson from Snow White and the seven dwarfs is that vanity will ruin us all

    • This is a great message. Now what Disney needs to do is to stop remaking European folk tales to avoid whitelash. Take folk tales from other cultures, and make movies on them and sell them outside of the US, they're already experimenting on this. Someday Disney will decide that trying to modernize and rescue tales made by a continent that peddled junk science and eugenics for the better part of 400 years and the continent whose belligerent ignnorance the founding fathers escaped from by their own words is more work that it is worth. We also need Asia, perhaps China to displace America's hold on culture. India can also do this with Bollywood, if they improve the quality of their products and tailor them for a more global audience. BTS was a case in point. We can't have grown men in their 40s have brain aneurysms because the lead character in a movie isn't white enough. Enough of this shit.

  • I never really viewed Snow White as a romantic love story. It is about being kind and caring versus an Evil Queen that wanted to be admired and loved but tried to obtain what she wanted by removing all threats. It is a love story, but the base is that if you want to be loved and admired, you start by loving other people. This is a big story for women in its classic state. It plays out all the time in real life. Men were not evil or creepy in the story, but it was already a female centric movie.

Have some big booba goth lady dressed like Elvira be the host of the show do a quick introduction while introducing us to the original plot then bring out the darker plot of it. Market it for kids? LMFAO Hell might as well do this style for all the Grimms' fairy tales. That would be metal. This would make money hands down. The way she talks about this project shows she understands next to nothing about the story and it’s characters and it’s lessons. Between public schools and social media my 15 year old niece think that “all men are bad” , that all men are out to get her, that “white men are evil”, that if you date within your own race you are racist ect. This is what social media and schools are doing to the future women in America.

      @JeriahMiller@JeriahMiller8 ай бұрын
    • This is why American men are increasingly looking for (and finding) wives of more traditional cultures and nationalities. There are very few American women left who are worth dating, much less marrying. There is a saying “today’s men have to work twice as hard as their grandfathers did for women who are five times worse than their grandmothers were.” And it’s true, I was married to one of these creatures. Thankfully, that marriage ended and I found one of the few traditional American wives left in the country. The problem will solve itself, and is solving itself…women in their 30’s and 40’s now are figuring out that they actually want a husband and a family, and don’t want to be a woke “boss bitch” anymore..but it’s too late and they will spend the rest of their lives with their cats. It’s sad, but also funny, to watch these videos of women figuring out that they fucked up when they reach the age that it’s too late for them. These videos are everywhere, and consider that those who actually go to the trouble to make such a video are a small fraction of the number of women actually living this reality. Your niece, and others like her, will either figure this out for themselves before it’s too late, or they won’t. Either way, at a societal level, the problem is solving itself because men are sick of this shit and realizing that there are other and better options. And those men, along with their traditional wives, will raise sons and daughters in their own image who will replace the non-reproducing feminazis.

  • Snow White isn't just a love story. It's the story of how a girl becomes a woman and what that does to men in the world. The Dwarves almost act like her children because having a caring, understanding sweet and loving person around them makes them think of something else other than their work and themselves. They live isolated and only need themselves for company but when Snow White shows up they care about her not because of her looks, but because she's the Mother figure none of them ever had. Only the evil witch cares about her looks and nothing else because she's superficial. If you recall in the story, before the witch gives snow white the poisend apple she sends a huntsman to kill her and he goes out to do exacly that, and when he sees her, he breaks down in tears and shame because he can't bring himself to kill a girl this innocent and beatifull. HOWEVER Snow White empathizes with him and FORGIVES him. She isn't just beautifull by her looks, she is forgiving, caring and kind and the men around her are transformed because of that and learn from her that caring for people is something good and virtuos. The Prince doesn't just care for her looks or royalty but for who she is and the dwarves know that too. It is a classic story of how women save men time and time again by just beeing a caring person who is there for them. In return they shelter her, feed her, want the best for her and enjoy her company as a friend. They fight for her and mourn her, not because she's hot ffs but because she was a good person that helped them be more than just seven dwarves. She rememberd their names and loved them all for who they were. Everything about this remake is a massive spit in the face to everyone who understood und cherished this great story, because modern day hollywood is beyond stupid anything but "Men < Women" is utterly incomprehensible to them nowadays... • To recapture the Disney magic you must repeat what Walt did. 1. He surrounded himself with creators and whose imagination created original content. 2. He took popular fables and made them family appropriate with memorable characters and music. 3. He targeted the innocence of the minor and the inner child of the adults. 4. He created an atmosphere absent of politics, religion, and agendas. 5. Then he took those characters and placed in a park so the public can interact with them again allowing the family to be together in a special environment. 6. Who you sleep with and who you think you are was left at the entrance of the park because the parks were not meant to offend anyone. Disney has been given 3 prepackaged IPs. Filled with characters and worlds that billions of people are already emotionally invested in and Disney figured out a way to destroy them all when all they had to do as keep the integrity of the stories.
