Unfortunately, the contrast based AF is not very reliable from all of the tests I've seen so far. If there are AF settings that can improve it, I think that would be a useful video to produce.

Hi! I just bought the camera last month and I bought it in place of my phone (I want to start vlogging with a camera instead of my phone). I think it’s a great camera for what it is! There are filters (like the one he has) that you can buy to help with your videos, but other than that, it’s great for beginners. I know that the ZV-1 is very similar to the ZV-1F but it is about $300 more with a little bit more features (and vice versa). It’s up to you to compare the two (along with doing your own research) but all I can tell you is that the ZV-1F is perfect! I love it a lot! I hope this helps! 😊

@@TheLovelyZoeeejust buy zve-10 with kit lens (about 200 dollar more expensive) you can upgrade your lens to 10-18 f4 oss later (about 300$ used) this lens works excellent on both apsc and full frame sensor.

by the way, it can only be used as a webcam at 720p. Not even 1080, but 720p. And to use it as a webcam at 4k you’d need a capture card

It's not an interchangeable lens camera but it will accept threaded filters. I'm using a 40.5mm pro mist style diffusion filter from Sandmarc.

Sony made a HUGE mistake by not adding 4K MJPEG. They do not sell 4K MJPEG HDMI capture cards. This means that if you are a laptop user, you can't hook up as many 4K cameras because you can't put them on USB hubs. I wish this wasn't an issue, but it has something to do with DMA or something like that.

Technically if u record on a pc and use smth like obs yes… or you could record the audio with the mic separately to the video and edit it in afterwards. The Sony zv1 just has an aux in and I’m not sure there’s an adapter for usb to aux

The raw footage from a big resolution will be large unlike smartphones bcs cameras take raw video they dont compress , no idea about why you cant download it tho
