So.... a man who makes you useless? (Pro Tip: That anvil won't work anymore because the weld material he covered the top with is too soft to hammer on.)

Your use of magnets, to affix the electrolysis cables was very, very smart, but using the magnets on the metal backstop to catch the metal filings while you were grinding was downright genius!!! I only grind metal occasionally,, but you make me feel like an idiot now because I get filings ALL OVER the place!! You have the simple, elegant solution to the problem… beautiful man! I am stealing that idea for sure!! Thank you!!

They have to be lol. That’s what communism does
@@monkeyman7048 So what you're saying is... the West needs Communism, so we can learn to be resourceful again? We're in.
Thanahr. No, we have access to many more things than people on communist country’s have. They need to learn how to be resourceful because they aren’t able to get to the same things we are. They find new ways to do things because they can’t. We are open and accessible to things that they dont have

_Guy:_ *Uses onion on metal* _Me, absolutely clueless on why he's doing that:_ Ah yes, of course.
:) Previously, onions were fried in new pans to protect them from rust (I learned this from my grandmother, and she from my parents). The main thing is not to overheat the metal, otherwise a burnout will form on the surface. And so this coating has good adhesion to the metal, it is not even brushed off with a metal brush (minor risks remain)
@@Great_idea do you know why this works? It's pretty amazing! I'd love to know the chemistry behind it. You're a great craftsman. Your skills are very impressive.

Really nice work! I've worked in a lot of good shops in the USA with sharp folks and still find I have a lot to learn from clever folks that substitute intelligence and hard work tools and money. You guy's designs make better trade-offs among cost, function, features, and complexity than we do in the west. Every Eastern European engineer and most other scientists I've met are as good or better as I am in a machine shop. Almost everything we tried to build for our guys at the university couldn't be built as drawn. When we went back to the principle for revision it usually came down to just make it work. I think it shows in the things they make.
Thank you so much!:)
Man, we Russians are also learning from him. This is still that Soviet school. The new generation cannot understand.
Так и нужно жить- покладисто, неспешно, мудро. Глубокое уважение от бывшего кузнеца👏👏👏

Firstly: that weld bead is soft (The anvil's face should not be so) Secondly: He will not be able to mill the top flat because once that tungstan carbide tool hits the crystallized cast iron(BECAUSE HE WELDED ON IT) is going to eat them one after another. "genius" should not be a word used lightly.
