That Spaceballs helmet joke was comedy gold
That one got me also
I still loved this season, but that Space Balls joke cracked me up too!
Was actually waiting for a different Mel Brooks joke. Mando-"This is the way" Armorer-"This is the way" Igor-"walk this way..THIS way."
yeah they have to steal from actual comedy to make their honest trailers any funny at all
Simple joke perfection 😘
I can't help but laugh when they just throw Grogu around like a basketball.
That is the ONE thing he learned from Luke in the 2 weeks to 2 years that he was training him.
It looks soooooooo bad
They should embrace the silliness of it on go with it, it is so good.
His name is Baby Yoda.
Yeah all those clips together had me rolling.
“Figures sold separately batteries not included” Absolute gold
This is the way.
The shot of Palpatine with Disney saying “Nnoow” had me on the floor
Palpatine is the Disney self-insert
@@laysmaxx5789 lol
"Disney has lost sight of what made it special in the first place ... Going the f*ck away every once in a while." 😂😂😂 Truer words have never been spoken.
I have spoken.
we waited 2 YEARS for another proper Season of Mando... and it felt like it needed more time in the oven.
@@ZeroB4NG I feel like Book of Boba Fett was a better Mando Season than his own Season 3
That is not what made Star Wars special nor did Star Wars ever “go away”.
That's when they strike gold and go away for a few years. Disney has yet to strike gold with Star Wars.
I'm sorry but Grogu getting chucked around the set like a target doll is fantastic
I so wish Yoda had fought by just moving the perfect inch every time.
It looks like a lifeless doll in the air though it's so weird and fake looking
It's funny cuz it's just funny that a baby can be tossed around like that but also him being tossed like that makes it more obvious that he is a puppet 😂
Now I heard that I can't unpicture it in my mind. 😂😅😅😂 That is exactly what it seems they did
60 years ago, the Yoda puppet looked much more realistic and was handled far better.
This is not the greatest Star Wars character in the world. This is just a tribute. OMG you guys are a national treasure
Me and my friend Kylo we was hitchhiking down a road and all of a sudden there shined a shiny mandalorian in the middle of the road
no they aren't. that was dumb
Okay. I'm gonna be honest. I *love* the credos of "This is the Way" and all the seriousness it conveys in the story and all the meme-worthy content it's inspired. But my God, the almost 30 second montage from 2:27-2:53 made me want to chew my wrists out.
THIS. IS. THE. WAY
_This is the way_ uttered ad nauseum.
"and just like Star Wars fans, he's not 100% sure what he's doing here." This felt so true this season. Also, the pirate characters felt like Power Rangers villains.
fun fact the creator of netflixs castlevania loves the power ranger but hates star wars
They were the worst. Just because kids watch the show, you don't have to make it for toddlers. I thought I was watching Nickelodeon.
Eh, I wouldn’t go that far. Nothing on the dumb biker gang in BoBF.
@MickyNorris91 Season 2 of BoBF will be 7 episodes of Power ranger bikers vs goofy pirates, and 1 episode of actual Boba Fett content.
@@IndenturedKZheadSlave that and the way the story wrapped up for grogu/din makes it feel like he is no longer invested.
Jokes aside that was a fantastic Krang impression.
That was when I had to forcibly stop myself from laughing too hard lest I make everyone in the apartment building think I was dying (or something)
Best I've heard in a while.
I laughed throughout but the Krang bit was hard enough to pause because I was missing stuff. 🤣
(hits the 'YES' button over and over) 😊
Came here to say just this.
"Scale back your expectations after Andor" It hurts because it's true.
I loved all of this, but “it’s free real estate” had me rolling 😂
Me too!
Let’s all say that Ahmed Best deserved his second chance.
He didn’t do anything to deserve all the hate
I agree he didn't deserve the hate, but his character and "adventure" were pointless in a season where so much was pointless. I wouldn't have minded if they brought him back for a good reason but bringing him back just to get Twitter to say "Ahmed Best!" was not the best way to go about it.
meesa agrees
@@notaspacecow And he never got any, everyone hated JarJar nobody even knew who played him.
@@Shipperscum Oh they did, and they sent enough death threats that Best nearly considered suicide. Unfortunately fandom tendencies haven’t gotten much better since
Just because they gave you a lot of ammo didn't mean you had to empty the clip, Screenjunkies. 🙂
Nice metaphor! 🤣
he barely scratched the surface imo, you could write a whole book about everything that went wrong with this season
They Obliterated this.
That was being generous my guy, I can’t imagine you’d be able to sit through a Critical Drinker vid
@@Hurrishane03 Can't imagine anyone sitting through a video by that hack.
Being baptized in the waters of lake minatonka gotta be the greatest line in this episode lol Sent me straight to the Chappelle show skit
It's from purple rain smh
Dark helmet in the middle of the helmet sequence was pure gold 😂
"This is not the greatest Starwars character in the world...This is just a tribute" I am dying from laughter.
The greatest character is actually nothing like this character
But we all forgot the greatest star wars character
i would have go with "You can't kill the Beskar.. the Beskar will live on!"
I was happy at the joke but then immediately sad when I realised jack black was in this
@@motor4X4kombat *I (this word should always be capitalized) *have gone *Beskar *live on
Biggest problem with this show is they keep killing off the villains after only a few episodes. Gideon too. They built him up then rushed his entire plot. When you’re working with short seasons you can’t sufficiently have so many story arcs at once. Pick one and go with it. Pirates. Spies. Taking back Mandalor. Supposed reformed empire members with secret agendas. Gideon. Way too many plot lines in a short season with episodes running under 50 minutes.
Dont be so sure gideon is dead, we never seen a body and that armor he was wearing could easily have saved him from the explosion
DISPOSABLE MONSTERS EVERY OTHER EPISODE
@@matthewsutton5946 that then runs into the problem of how they keep taking care of him and he just will come back (in probably a bad way). At least, I didn't like how they brought him back this time where the New Republic just didn't give a damn about him or the prison transport and just hushed it all up instead of hunting him down. It was pretty weak storytelling.
And yet they still feel like they're wasting time and dragging scenes out all the time.
@@drachasor Pretty sure that's all the work of the spy who bugged me.
Loved the "Waters of Lake Minnetonka" and "Dark Helmet" references Mr. Voiceguy! Props to you and the team for this funny trailer. And props to Rick Moranis, Prince and Tony Baker! 😂😂😂
Why props to those 3? I genuinely don't know
@@TheLivingThanos Rick Moranis played Dark Helmet in the very funny movie Spaceballs, a clip of which is in this video. Prince was in the movie Purple Rain, where the line "purify oneself in the waters of Lake Minnetonka" came from. I included Tony Baker because he's the first I heard use that line for comedy in his animal voice-over skits. His clips are hilarious and I feel he doesn't get enough credit for being the OG funny animal narrator guy before KLR and Rockstar hit the scene.
@@SmilingSimian Ohh ok now i understand so you have props to three different people in here for two different clips right. I like that
That Tim Meadows joke really hit home. But definitely a cameo
"Best of the Best" - yeah, I'm very pleased they brought him back for a really good role. We might still see him again in the future.
he did get away, so there's potential there.
You boy captain America over here "best of the best of the best"
I honestly thought it was a Men In Black reference
@@sagarmehta4574 Every time I hear" Best of the best" I think of MiB. But here, I guess it's a play on the actor's last name being "Best"
Best line in this video. 🙂
The “no ince*t division” killed me. _That_ twist, turned my stomach into a pretzel.
i didn't get it?
@@TheLivingThanos Oldboy, a Korean revenge drama where the protagonist hooks up with a woman who turns out to be his daughter. There is a fight scene where he bashes a bunch of guys with a hammer.
Also we don't know for sure that there is no incest going on with that weird mandalorian cult. This is a Star Wars show after all.
Cant say “incest”now? 🙄 what you scared to be demonetized??
@@SOSOLRAK Probably.
Hahahaha that Spaceballs helmet scene throw in was pure gold I burst out laughing lol
That Old boy reference was so unexpected I choked on my food from laughter. I need to watch back the original.
"the non-incest division"😂😂
That “Starbucks on the way” joke was GOLD
Finally - the Starbucks joke we were waiting for! 😂
The Spaceballs clip subtly tossed in with the helmet montage!!!! --- PERFECTION!
"outer rim's convenience" and "this is not the greatest star wars character in the world.. this is just a tribute" got me
"there's still plenty of meat on this bone, add some broth and a potato? baby, you got a stew going." that's all i can hear whenever karga speaks.
So I am not the only one!
Always pleased to see an arrested development reference
That’s how Disney is treating this franchise lol
4:46 Nice little Purple Rain reference. 😄
That was an exceptional Krang impression. Kudos.
The waters of Lake Minnetonka....😂😂 I got that reference!
I watched this at work, maintaining a straight face to not expose my secret viewing. "Time for Din Din" made me choke 😂
I watched this season, then transitioned immediately into re-watching Andor. There's honestly no comparison.
Real
me too
I have a few friends that still haven’t seen Andor, and I keep telling them “Imagine Star Wars, but it’s actually *good*, and not just nostalgic”
Ya it feels like a different universe lol
@@bird3713 Dude every single of the seasons of The Mandalorian are way better than Andor.
The “Starbucks” joke was next-level.
7:20 I was expecting something along the lines of "How the Grinch Stole Star Wars" or a Swamp Thing reference but I guess there had to be some mention of how he's a pirate.
"Din Din" Got me but, "Outerrims Convenience" Killed me.
6:44 - THANK YOU. How can I miss this franchise when it WILL. NOT. GO. AWAY!
😂😂😂 the noise grogu makes after Din says he's his ward. Perfect clip 👌 😂😂
The Oldboy line had me rolling on the floor. You savages.
3:20 "My son is not a Target doll....HE JUST LIKES TO JUMP!"
I literally laughed out loud when Grogu flipped over that kid.
"Its free real-estate..." 😂 love it!
It's a shame Brendan Wayne doesn't get more credit playing Mandalorian. Pedro comes by, does his voice over but it's Brendan who's on set and in the costume every single episode.
Brendan Wayne does the gunplay, while Lateef Crowder does the hand-to-hand combat
I thought they split time in the suit? My understanding was that he and Pedro worked together on the movements, and since then Brendan is the only one that they trust to get it right.
That "Lake Minnetonka" line got me
I thought there'd be a comment on how they brough back Grogu in a completely different show and anyone that couldn't make it through Boba Fett had no idea what was going on. It is pretty funny that they were so desperate to milk the toy/soccer mom market that they had to make sure he was front and center for the first episode all the way through.
I'm pretty sure axing Luke Skywalker was the major motivating factor too. Originally Luke was supposed to have a major role in The Force Awakens, but Kathleen Kennedy forced the writers to remove it. She also told Favreau to get rid of Luke from The Mandalorian; executive oversight is the reason he's no longer that interested in The Mandalorian and just wants to move on to Ashoka.
The Starbuck's line got me. Laughed way to hard at that.
Holy Swingers reference, Batman! (Also, Outer Rim's Convenience was just ... chef's kiss!)
That Tim meadows burn was so uncalled for, but also hilarious af. I can imagine him responding with the 50 cent meme
Baptized in the waters of Lake Minnetonka line was genius!!!!!!!!!! What a call back
Game! Blouses!
It is pretty funny but I've heard that joke a million times about this show before this trailer lol
"...stop for some Starbucks along the way..." I got that reference!
I can imagine them saying this is the way like groot They're just having an argument but only yelling THIS IS THE WAY
I must be the only one who absolutely love the Grogu doll being tossed around
I want to be the stagehand who gets to yeet the grogu doll
That's all I want to do if I get my hands on a Baby Yoda doll
I beg to differ.
this is the way
It looks lazy. Like pretty much everything Disney pulled out of their keisters with this IP.
Please say "Lisa the Rainbow Giraffe bestows leaves upon you"
I second this.
Lisa the Rainbow Giraffe must be friends with Rowan the Rainbow Shrimp. 🦒🌈🦐
Not the tide ad coming in with "life gets a little messy sometimes" right after Paz Vizla gets stabbed 😂
The Spaceballs insert 😂
The most morbid part of my mind wondered if anyone working on this season tried in vain, during one of Pedro Pascal's absences, to laugh off _The Last of Us_ with, "No way a video game adaptation can compete with us!"
Seriously enjoyed season 3. I have spoken.
“Dark cloning” with a image of Giancarlo Esposito. Real nice.
Stopping for Starbucks had me rolling 😂
Look, I'm just saying the Armorer could show me the way all night. And by that I mean, she could recite the Mandalorian manifest, or read from the telephone book or whatever, I just looove the way she talks. Also, it was good to see where Salim from American Gods ended up.
Same af. Literally everything she says sticks with me. Enthralled every time she's on the screen because that voice is mesmerizing. Like Hugo Weaving in "V for Vendetta."
Look up Emily Swallow.
For a second I thought it was Galladriel herself in the SW universe. Her voice is so pleasant and soothing.
I would give her my tool to use wink wink
Yeah, I feel the same way, ngl.
This season made Andor my fav star wars live action show
Real
The SpaceBalls reference was awesome. I actually loved season 3 but I am easily entertained LOL
'What you carrying a gun for, in case someone steps to you, Snoop Dogg? That's a deep reference! 😱
How hard would it be for the Empire to mass produce some actually effective powered armor? You don't have to turn the Storm Troopers into full on Astartes, but you could get them pretty close...
They don’t care about their infantry, they’ll cut any of their budgets if it means they get to build a bigger Death Star.
Well that *was* the point of Gideon’s Dark Trooper suit.
I really wish First Order storm troopers had been Astartes type super soldiers. Watching the New Republic and new Jedi having to deal with legions of Astartes type troopers enforcing compliance on worlds would have been awesome, and it would have shown that the First Order was taking what the Empire did and improving on it.
The Empire didn't bother with it. Stormtroopers could shoot accurately at point blank range, which is the range from which they'd be murdering civilians anyway. Any population that's not cowed will be bombed by TIE bombers. Any population that manages to shoot down TIE bombers will be bombed from orbit. Most planets have no way to take out a Star Destroyer.
Pretty hard when their focus was on space superiority - Star Destroyers, Super Star Destroyers, and both Death Star projects. Stormtroopers didn't need to have awesome armor with the republic's most effective ground troops either usurped (the Clones) or practically extinct (the Jedi). They just needed to show up in numbers to remind people that there was a ship in orbit that could glass their planet if they stepped out of line.
It felt like this series should have been called The Book of Bo Katan
I would have been on board with that. Have every season of 'the Mandalorian' be about a DIFFERENT Mandalorian and commit to it. No need for pseudo-spin offs.
@@dembones5005 hot take : it is about bo katan and the use of "mando" is actually a racial term for thier race of mandalorians.
Gosh I love you guys. Always saying what I hear in my head when I'm watching.
"This isn't working for me" SAME
Never thought about it before but that clip of the scene with the steep dive in the speeder (7:48) is basically 5th element's police chase. Was there a big... big bada boom before the clip started?
Yep. No original material in the Star Wars prequels.
Okay the spaceballs insert made me laugh out loud 😂😂😂
7:14 Swingers reference!!! Awesome!!
TMNT ad came on when he said “his name is-“ and it was for pizza so it went “His name is THE BIG NEW YORKER”
I was not prepared for such an epic Krang voice.
So many Disney honest trailers and none for snow white and the seven dwarves, from 1937? First Disney animated movie deserves an honest trailer now!😊
Probably when the remake comes out
“Just like Star Wars fans, he’s not sure what he’s doing here” hit me so hard with this season after the gem that was andor
The blink and mis it Starbuck joke! Love it!
Mandalorians were secretly Unkandan Knuckles all along
Idk if I'm just insane but every time that obnoxious puppet gets thrown around the room some sort of primal caveman rage awakens inside of me.
It's not that serious.
Really not that serious
No its that serious.
I think it is pretty serious tbh.
What no love for Zeb? these are the cameos we are looking for!
I don't think he like the cartoons which is a shame, they were great.
I waited for a couple months to watch this season, but I actually enjoyed it. It definitely helped that my expectations were way down after how bad Boba Fett and Obi-Wan were and how many people were complaining about this season on Twitter. This season was a bit slow and clunky at times, but it was miles better than Boba Fett or Obi-Wan. I thought episodes 1 and 6 were the weakest, and the others were pretty good.
you're right, Madalorian S3 is watchable , just disapointing after S1&2 . Bobafett and obi-wan i never managed to finish them and watched summaries on youtube
I think, it inherited some of its bad-ness from descisions in the netter seasons. Season 1 and 2 gained a lot of their awesome moments by making descisions, that fehlt good storywise but didn't make much sense in the overall canon, like IT or not. Din learns to put away his differences and trust the Jedi. Awesome. Grogu completes His Journey and finds a master again. Nice. Too bad, that this implicates, that Grogu ist murdered in 10 years by Kylo Ren. Din claims the Darksaber and hast to learn to weild it, possibly to leave His beeing a loner behind and become a leader. Awesome. Top bad, that this kills Bo Kataans whole arc. Gideon hast a plan, that involves cloning and the reemergence of the Empire, which seems to build a bridge to Snoke/Exegol? Great. Too bad, that it contratdicts Filonis plans for Ahsoka,Thrawn and the continuation of Rebels. So Season 3 has to awkwardly backpaddle in all of this plotpoints. Given this unthankful task, it is really impressive, how watchable it is.
I waited too, but ended up liking it. To be fair I watched Ahsoka first, and I thought that was even worse than Boba Fett and Obi-Wan, so maybe my expectations were too low.
That Krang impression was so good! 😊
Krang
The Dark Helmet drop was perfect.
Me at the gym: What is in this shake? My coach: This is the Whey.
2:28 Dude you unintentionally just created an intro to a banging Metal song - just need a huge drop and kick after grogu googoo's..... This is the way!
0:46 perfectly describes this season! 😄 (Also “put Jon Faverau in carbonite” 😆)
At least he’s HAPPY.
The Starbucks joke killed me
I can't not see Carl Weathers and think, "Now you've got yourself a stew going."
'you just know they're going to stop for Starbucks along the way' 😂
We need more live action prequel spin-offs tbh. There are too many shows set after Revenge of The Sith, but hopefully this'll change soon
Revenge Of The Sith is still the best SW movie, imo.
The Acolyte is pre-Revenge I think.
It won’t change. Disney is trying to make their sequels make sense and that’s ruining the good stuff they stumbled into
@@ryansmith841 that's a pity. I'm not suffering from Star Wars fatigue, I'm suffering from Original Trilogy fatigue. I won't lay a finger on the spin-offs relating to the Sequel trilogy, but the fact that there are so many OT-centric shows has left me feeling kinda jaded. Even the Bad Batch and Kenobi series (which had close ties to the prequels) were set between ROTS and A New Hope and had much more of a practical gritty aesthetic in line with the OT. Gimme a show set on Naboo or Coruscant at least before we even think about heading back to Cloud City or Endor
No, we don’t. We need to give the franchise a break.
poor Visla...if he only had a jet pack and a opening in the cave ceiling.....oh wait, he did.
6:55 "The Blast Of Us" I died 🤣
How dare you make me re-live that scene from GoT. That fricken scarred me when i first saw it
I was hoping spaceball’s helmet scene was going to make it in this
I don't know. The Hammer Girl from The Raid 2 is a pretty deadly hammer fighter. I'd love to see her and the Armorer fight.
Star Wars fans watching the Mandalorian: “This is the Way”.
"And in a series all about running errands, you just know they're gonna stop for Starbucks on the way." 😂🤣 This is the way!
Krang references are always welcomed
I have to admit that was a great one.
I emjoyed this season just fine.
"The Mandalorian" of this season was not Din Djarin. It was Bo Katan.
Season 1-2 was something special. Season 3 is such a drop in quality.
