I love how when they receive there powers u can see the shockwave affect the boat crew as well which would explain how the gene passed on and multipled
Something went wrong on the editing floor I assume
yup
Like idk how people don’t double check a video before publication
A good first season. It kept me engaged by pulling an Arrow trick - having stories from the past and present running concurrently. It also addresses alot of the questions I always had reading superhero graphic novels. The non killng code, how being a superhero would affect their lives, how much is non interference justified when you have so much power and how inaction is unjustified. Some of the plot points didn't make sense but I am willing to overlook that. I look forward to season 2 and hopefully see what caused the break in the Union of Justice.
The past story held me. Without it I think the show would have fell flat. Hopefully they can capture the same magic.
Hope season 2 concentrate more on the past like Jupiter's circle
It got cancelled lmao
What I didn't like about the show was the CGI and Utopian's daughter.
Hate the utopians daughter she changes the feel good mood of show
@@JWade313ilys she comes around later in the comics. Problem is them merging the past and present in on season
Their daughter went from sweet girl to straight up Hooker/Drug addict
After the 6 orignal heros how did the supervillians and all the other people get their powers ?
The shock wave that originated on the island probably gave them their powers
@@neloangelo7454 that would make sense but the six of them had to complete the challenges , to be worthy.
@@jameswatson5807 yeah but notice they’re the strongest , I’m guessing since they were closest to the source
Ah I wondered that as well
@@jacobgutierrez8283 Yeah they were closer and completed the trials. That's why Utopia is the strongest, the island called him, made him assemble people for the trial. They passed and I guess that allowed humanity to have a somewhat "evolution", the Six tested got the most out of it and the rest got a bump too.
They need to bring the last second season back
This show has it all folks, family drama with real life relatable issues. The CGI is AWESOME the wire work you can tell it's wire work a little bit but I always can. Josh Duhamel is on point as usual, ladies he is still FINE as WINE, yet masculine but not irritating. I've read some of the other reviews and I don't know where they're from or what they watched but it's DEFINITELY not what I watched. I binged it in 10 hour's and I'm so HANGRY. because it ended. Finally a Superhero series where everyone isn't perfect, has perfect dialogue and comes from a perfect family. This isn't your typical Superhero series this is Superman meets Hancock meets the stuff we want to see!! I give it 5 💄's and 5 🚗's vroom on over and turn on your Netflix right now!!!
I defintely like the kids, the son trying to live up to his fathers expectations but not being powerful enough, and the daughter who’s lost all her humanity and is basically a living husk
You know when you’re about 10 drinks down and you’re trying to focus on a story/conversation with someone..but you keep getting confused, yet pulled in with some drama you managed to understand then completely forget. Well for me that’s just how well constructed this was. 🙃 Worst representation of what “super hero’s” should be, first of all it barely/doesn’t follow the original comic series.. seriously lacking in story development and character building so if you’re the kind of person that enjoys not knowing what’s going on with cool scenes every now and then with tons of dead end drama’s THIS IS FOR YOU! 😂 I honestly felt more engaged and entertained by these reviews.
I hate how all of them can fly
The villain got their powers in those boat people now.
I think they can cover that dragging flashback and power origin in just 1 episode but they didn't, that's why it got boring.
It kinda looks like they didn’t get the best of the best to work on this and not enough budget to cover that with effects.
I wasn't jupiter it was one of jupiter's moons and that Cosmic energy explosion spreaded across the whole island gave possibly almost everyone around the world it already effected most of those people in that boat
I like the super crooks more more humanizing.😮
This comes off as just another quick buck; riding on the trendy wave of dark superhero content going on right now. This is no different, especially not better, than shows like WatchMen, Logan, The Boys, Invincible, etc. It’s good to follow a trend, but only if it’s done right and is unique in its storytelling and plot; this is neither. The writing seems amateur-like, as if they wrote it once, made adjustments once, and said “Yeah that’s good enough.” The first episode, the most important episode, is long and void of any true purpose other than narration. The dialogue serves to avoid showing you character dynamics by literally telling you what they think and feel; it takes away from the actors’ amazing talent. Cherry on top of everything; at the end of the episode, to remind us that Utopian is NOT Superman, they do what? Make his laser vision blue instead of red. It was almost laughable. If the fight scenes, which already too closely resemble the Thanos fight on Titan in Avengers Infinity War and any Darkseid fight, is the most interesting thing about your episode, you’re doing something wrong. BONUS: there was literally no questions or things I wanted to see play out later on that was keeping me from stropping the show after the first episode. If there were, there was not enough focus on it and too much focus on giving backstory that wasn’t relevant yet.
Nice
that ended abruptly
My expectations weren't very high so I was surprised how much I liked it. Couldn't stop watching it. As a person who's quite over the Disney marvel nonsense it's nice to see some more realistic superheroes. But better watch out cuz if it does too well Disney will buy it mass produce it and make it terrible. But I dont think that will happen cuz judging by the reviews a lot ppl thought it was too slow cuz ya know their used to vapid special effect extravaganzas like the avengers that have no real substance. Bottom line if you love those movies you probably won't like this.
Yeah but why?? Where is this power came from on Jupiter?
from one of Jupiter's moons
Don't waste your time watching this show. Mark Miller, the original creator of the comics this mess was based on, promised that it would stand up to the likes of Marvel and Star Wars. Well he couldn't have been more wrong. This show was marketed as a sprawling superhero saga but instead ended up turning into a CGI mess of random heroes who no one cares about, moping about their annoyingly boring lives. Failing to hook an audience in the first episode of a show is sometimes forgivable, unless you completely insult them by failing to deliver what was promised. While Millar said that we would see something on the scale of the groundbreaking Avengers Endgame and/or the intriguing WandaVision, all you end up getting is a disappointing attempt to play Superman and Powerpuff girls. I highly recommend you watch The Umbrella Academy which offers a far superior take on a dysfunctional superhero family instead.
Ok.
@@ClavinZKL LMAO HELL NO UMBRELLA ACADEMY WAS SHIT
Especially the little time traveling brother, he's on par with utopians daughter, annoying as hell
I watched the whole thing in two days, so that's good I guess. WARNING SPOILERS Obviously there were things that I liked about it, including the dysfunctional young heroes and the rift forming between the dogmatic subscribers to The Code and those that recognise the game is changing. I am going to focus on the couple of things that I found annoying and/or silly. 1: The trip to the island Gathering the team for the expedition - we're missing one, but wait, we just pulled the right dude out of the sea in the middle of the night. Whatever. I didn't get why they took one look at a fairly tame expanse of what was supposed to be desert and decided that was it. It wasn't that intimidating. "The magic wall thing won't work if we don't settle our differences" [Sheldon puts hand on Walter's shoulder, looks him in the eye] "Ok, let's try it now, oh yay it worked!" 2: All the superheroes can fly? Ok. But then you have super strength, speed, laser eyes, and mind reading. And after that it's largely making pretty lights or vaguely teleporting. 3: The suitcase of blue stuff - I assumed it was significant and something would happen with that when Chloe snorted the lot. Like it was a "superpower removal powder", or it would amplify abilities or something. But no it was just drugs. 4: Not super diverse. I mean, I'm a straight white person, so I was represented (at last, right?). But there was no LGBTQ+, the two Asian characters got killed within an episode of being introduced, the other people of colour got kicked around the place and it only seemed to be the white superheroes that saved the day. 5: Walter was so obviously the bad guy. Serious Scar from the Lion King vibes.
What? Why LGBTQ in every show?????stop plz with woke 😤 virus
Should be called Lucifers Legacy.......
Just leave the superheroes to Marvel and Dc
fuck you asshole, hellboy, spawn and invincible are not from dc and marvel and they do a better job than those two editorial shit
how about you fuck right off and appreciate someones effort made into reality. What are you doing with your life? I guarantee you are insignificant like pocket lint.
Why? They been fuckin up lately
Just finished watching all 8 episodes straight through without fast forwarding. I deserved better. We all did. Jupiter's Legacy is a thoroughly derivative superhero/superanti-hero yarn. Some good action scenes but not nearly enough to make up for the scattershot pious angst posturing as conflicted morality posing as a script. The writing is seriously lacking in originality with precious little joy, humor, or sexual interplay to cut the deadly somberness. Also, there are too many folks with different powers. Forget character development, they come and go so fast, it's impossible to put faces to names. Loved the 1920's origin scenes for the set design and photography. But, like many of the supportive plot lines, it would have been better served with it's own well constructed episode. Also very good performances, especially from the leads. That said, would find it hard to invest watching many more episodes if they don't put at least a few original concepts on screen.
Subtle storytelling dynamism (admittedly perhaps too much gravitas for the shallows which the major plot and character development must flounder in before hopefully a deeper level of profundity is revealed. In an ordered manner to emphasize drama, which I'm ok with) regarding "humanity [morality] vs society" plot-archs told via familial POV. Harkens to humanity's eternal (but circular) transcendental journey towards - no Pun intended - a perfectly realized 'Utopia' 😄. Good luck, "Union" of superheroes. Like us, we're going to need some.* *(if there's ever going to be a 'second season', that is 😏) PS. "Jupiter's Legacy" is sticking it to the WB and DC and their stilted, unchanging, my-way-or-the-dumpter mindset regarding the superhero genre and their fears of loss 📉 of comic industry influence and media control... Loving it 😍. Play on, play on...
Lol....it got cancelled coz it was shit .....lol
