@FishTank I agree, but the general consensus is that the Lightning Temple is harder because Queen Gibdo's second phase is very hard. You basically have to deal with an army of Gibdos, some that crawl towards you at sonic speed that infinitely respawn if you dont kill the hives, all while the Queen floats in the air and shoots you with high pressured coffee blasts. It's very hectic.
I did it as my second temple as well...but with around 8 hearts. I could've got more hearts but I'm kinda lazy with shrines rn
hardest when it comes to combat right? Cuz Fire Temple is definitely the one that gave me the most painful headache lol

It’s really funny how all the champions also voice the sages. Like what if the upheaval had woken up earlier? The old champions hear a voice and are like “dang sounds kinda like me”

Oof I did i 1st try with no damage :) now I'm having a ego boost... I understand his POV now. I did not get rid of any of the gibdo hives in phase 2 and im surprised my switch did not explode from lag.

Not only did you forget you had ascend and recall, but the fact that you had the audacity to take on the lightning temple not only with 4 hearts but without fusing almost nothing is impressive. Like, do you even realize the dungeon was actually meant to be last lol. Talk to Purah, she tells you the kind of best order for the temples (rito, goron, zora and THEN gerudo). Very impressive what you've done lol
*In today's episode of Tears of the Kingdom…* The Lightning Temple beckons forth its first adventurer in eons: Riju, the beloved daughter of the Gerudo… and Quin tags along for the ride. He may have heard the voice calling to the Chief, but he is in no way her receiver. At most, he is a warm body to direct monsters’ attention to as Riju handles them on her own. Despite the magic arm he… ah, wields?… he seems ignorant to his own ability, forgetting not only that he may ascend through ceilings but climb walls at all. It may not be fair to make fun of this; Divine Beast Vah Naboris had no climbable surfaces. He's BoTW-brained, not yet acclimated to BoTW2. It’s a miracle that Quin even made it out to Gerudo Desert. Wherever Zelda is now, she must be watching over him: what he lacks in combattant prowess he more than halves in value compared to his ineptitude with puzzles. He just can’t figure out light refraction. Or is it that he’s at the level of a quantum physicist? Perhaps his intelligence is overestimated, and he’s actually _overcalculating_ the physics of lightwaves while tumbling down a two story drop full of flamethrowers. Riju fixes the batteries allowing entrance into the Lightning Temple proper. Yesterday, the pair had scared off the vile Gibdo Queen and her gross grabby bug hands; today, she returns with even more intent to grab things. For all her abominations, though, she really can’t hold a candle to that Captain Construct III a few floors down. Quin, in his infinite skill and practical wisdom, defeats her on his -twenty-third- first try, allowing Riju to claim her destiny as the modern Sage of Lightning. Upon leaving the dreaded Lightning Temple, Quin experiences some form of psychological reset by experiencing joy and relief for what feels like the first time, *thus concluding our (mis)adventures for today.*

@@QuinBoBin it feels like the devs refreshed the surface map just enough so it’s familiar but exciting to explore again! like coming back to your hometown after being away for years. it’s pretty great

I feel like the reason they re released Skyward Sword soon before TotK is because the story of SS would be integral to this game's story, and as someone who's always loved SS and what it did for Zelda lore, I love that.
Don't get me wrong, Skyward sword was not bad but compared to other zelda games it wasn't great but the story in it was amazing and I loved seeing what happened at the start of the story

Totk seems entirely disconnected from the timeline besides botw
I have yet to fully experience the story, but I had theorized that Demise's defeat in the past could've caused a timeline split where Breath of the Kingdom would take place. The issue there is that the Zonai seeming like gods for coming from the sky wouldn't make much sense if the Hylians also came from the sky. I guess it's possible there were survivors on the surface that became the races of Hyrule and the people of Skyloft evolved into the Zonai, but this seems really unlikely. I think it's safe to say the timeline isn't a thing anymore for games to come.
Hey Quin. Just fyi, there’s plot/story in several side quests. Not just the main story. So have fun! This game is awesome and I’m really enjoying watching you play.

Quin getting to second phase without striking it with lightning is impressive and also very infuriating
I 100% botw didn’t want to wait any longer for totk so I started playing skyward sword until totk came out and I’m so glad I did because those dungeons trained me for this madness. If I hadn’t played skyward sword my brain probably would’ve screamed and imploded.
The difficulty in this game is definitely increased from botw. In botw I never made any meals and didn't even know elixirs existed. This game has me prepping food and boosts at every stable!

I appreciate your determination despite clearly being massively under geared, these kind of dungeons has more of a classic Zelda game vibe with the gimmicks and the multiple floors and the brain strain puzzles, im loving this so much never clicked on a video so fast in my life :)
I just finished this dungeon and it was honestly the bane of my existence LOL! The great thing (besides FINALLY beating it and getting Riju as my companion) is that I can watch this now in peace without getting spoiled 😅

Finding the dragon tears (memories) can help with the confusion. To start the dragon tear quest, find Impa in North Hyrule Plain by the New Serenne Stable. Warning, it is hella sad by the final memory

That room with the tanky construct gave me lynel vibes lol
Remember that your weapons last longer and deal more damage if you fuse things into them. Especially monster horns give huge damage buffs (you can see exactly how much in your inventory). Loving the playthrough, just finished this dungeon myself so I can watch this now :D
I was grinning like mad when you beat the Gibdo Queen. Man that was a stressful and impressive boss fight. And with only 4 hearts! I do hope you hang around Gerudo village for a while to do quests, but don't mind me. The lore for this seems so very interesting, maybe Zelda got yote back in time when she fell?

The queen gibdo fight was awesome! I miraculously did it first try but probably because I already had tulin and sidon with me. They were very helpful when the gibdo start crawling and flying at you and you have to sprint to avoid being hit. I'm glad I bought those sand boots!

In the temple of time in great plateau, go to where you got the old paraglided and you’ll get the nostalgic fabric, becareful traveling because the yiga clan took over. At the cabin and under the shrine of resurrection.

Somehow, it has never occured to me that you could use Ascension to reach a Hover Stone you've placed up high. This has opened so many options for me.
I have already seen parts of the story and it is so exciting to see how Quin figures it out from what he has seen!

I’m just glad Quin also went this route first because of… well, Gerudo 😂, and seeing him struggle with queen gibdo was so funny, I honestly think it is the most entertaining route to clear when just starting. Would like to see him do zora's domain next.

quin and i have majorly different playing styles lmfao, i went into this one with 180 arrows - everytime he drew his bow the number was TINY it was so anxiety inducing because this whole quest is about having arrows that can channel lightning
9:10 is a perfect example of Quinn not understanding ascend and just not grasping the concepts of abilities.
