Yeah honestly I'd imagine a lot of humans in the DND settings are probably xenophobic especially considering most races are actively racist against tieflings so Prudence got pretty lucky to find an adventuring party full of almost entirely other nonhumans who aren't xenophobic and the only full human in the party also isn't racist or xenophobic honestly she got pretty lucky

To all the new people here: Welcome! Yes, audio is choppy, because the event stream was extremely unstable. Back then Oxboxtra didn‘t record this session, which is why the quality is what it is. And because of that, this is the one episode that is not available in the podcast, which is a shame. This is one of my favorites! But the decision to drop it is understandable… Also. All Oxventures are available as a podcast! Hit them up and save on battery life! Lots of funny commentary and behind the scenes info.

(Quite frankly, I'm a little surprised she hasn't complained about his "unjust imprisonment", what with him technically being a captive animal.)
1:47:00 Looking back at Merilwen's plan from this session, with the benefit of hindsight after all the war crimes she's done since then, I can only say: Oh my god. The warning signs were all there!

As a native Californian, the surfer voice is pretty much just a funny movie accent, no one here actually has that accent, so it's not offensive, just kinda a funny trope. 😅 good job Johnny!

Despite the choppy audio there is somthing really nice about this particular oxventure Maybe its just the fact they saw the sorry state the kobolds were in and kicked arse and were hilarious. Not for good or evil just for the little kobolds who needed help.
It's nice to have a quick debrief at the end of an adventure, one where they can peek behind the curtain. I wish they'd do it more often. The Gnome Alone episode did have some unreleased audio in the podcast which was nice, but I'm always interested to see what they all thought of the adventute out of character, including Johnny. Yeah, the audio does make this hard to watch, but not impossible. I did miss some things, but could work it out through context. I couldn't find any mention of them trying Marshmerlots IRL, which I imagine wouldn't be great, but they did seem curious enough to seriously try it.
Lots of comments about the bad audio, but interestingly no comments on the fact that no one is using a green (or blue for Luke) screen for some reason. Seeing as how they all normally have one, and Jane has commented on what a pain it is to put hers away, I wonder if there was something going on with the stream that made it so they couldn't use them.

That‘s why this one isn‘t in the podcast. Which is frustrating, because it screws up the playlist. Every time Norman comes up, Johnny begins with the recap of this adventure, and I go „oh, right“ and have to switch over here. After that, the crew always kept their own recording. Lesson learned.

What does Ellen/Merilwen say at 1:25:42 that makes Jonny lose their mind? I can hear the part about citrus, but then I lose what she says under someone else taling. It causes such a huge reaction. Subtitles are no help.
"I throw some citrus fruits at him... make him *Lemon-y Snicket*." I had to play it a few times to work it out, I got the joke without the second half.

I truly hope Johnny doesn't think all Americans sound like his stoned/surfer Dale Icewind...as for the stat block Johnny is using for the zombie kobold(s) he is being very generous with their HP... as kobold HP is only 5 to 7 so a 10-15 is literally twice that...
Johnny is one of the most forgiving dms ive watched on youtube. rule of cool is the most important thing at his table from what i've seen. Lukes rope trick from this video would either require a to hit and at least 4 skill checks to pull off at the tables ive played. Johnny trimmed it down to two and allowed inspiration to cut it down to one.
