I just realized I've never used a spear in the ganondorf fight. I realized this because he has a different dodge animation when you use a spear. Backflipping wouldn't work for him because you're stabbing straight forward, so he side hops instead. The little details in this game are so cool!

I mean that would actually make sense since the reason for most decayed weapons is (if I remember correctly) is because the gloom fused to the weapons decaying them (correct me if I’m wrong)

just wanted to let you know that at 6:40, even if you run out of stamina while paragliding you can still paraglide for 1 second to reduce fall dmg, hope this helps

I didnt know gloom hands had set locations, like lynels. Theyve always seemed pretty random to me.
Fun fact, there's usually 2-3 gloom hands pretty close to each other, but only one spawns because of a flag that gets randomly set That selects which one to spawn.
Fun fact: Phantom Ganon takes only 80% of received damage. He’s the only enemy/boss that does this.

not many people know this about totk, but as long as youre full health, and get hit by a heavy hitting attack that usually does tons of damage, you will sometimes survive with a quarter hp

And botw, it's called oneshot protection and it's removed in master mode
It is known as one shot protection. Enemies that do multiple types of damage can sometimes avoid that (I think it was like that for guardians in BOTW), but it doesn’t exist at all in Master Mode.
I think lynels, some bosses, and elemental damage ignore it

You should try only using things from other Legend of Zelda game! For example: Only using the Tunic of Twilight/Wind/Awakening/etc. And also only using old weapons like dusk claymore and sea-breeze shield.

Try doing : "Can You Beat Zelda Tears of the kingdom With Only Hylian Soldier Gear". Basically, you can only use the Soldier's Armor and the Royal Guard's Uniform. For the weapons, there's only the knight's bow, soldier's broadsword, etc

It'd be cool if he had a timer or something during these challenge runs so we can see how long it takes him to beat it. I did my own Yiga challenge after watching his Yiga video and I'd have loved to be able to compare times.

I honestly think would have made tears of the kingdom more interesting is this the monster Parts you got from the depths were gloomifyed and they would just be an enhanced version of the normal monster parts

Since the master sword has been in contact with a ton of gloom shouldn’t it be technically classified to be a gloom weapon?
Yeah, it just doesn't do gloom to you since the Master Sword is still strong enough to fight off the gloom
1:33 it's actually 2 and the same. One spawns when a certified flag is set and the other spawns when it isn't, this was made so that it's more random

I can never forget my first time encountering the Gloom Spawn. I was in the forest of spirits on the Great Plateu in the middle of the night. I saw the moving puddle of gloom and decided to investigate. I'd avoided spoilers for the game from prerelease coverage and bought it on release day so I legit had no idea what I was looking at. The hands popped out, screamed at me, the scene turned crimson in the forest in the dead of night. Almost messed myself and booked it out of there yelling "nope! nope! nope!" at my TV. I know they're actually easier to fight than to run from now but it was a hell of a first impression.
That one was my first as well lol. I went into a blind panic and forgot I could teleport. Had to put the game down for a while lol

I remember subscribing to Justin when he was a really small tech channel. Its great seeing his channel grow and finally getting the recognition he deserves!
Would like to see how difficult these challenges are without all the duping.
Less of a challenge and just more tedious really. It took him about 60 bombflowers to kill the first Ganon that's like hours of just wondering the depths picking them up. Not really a challenge just tedious grind and not always fun to play or watch. Same with large charges no airbike just makes traveling overworld tedious or a forced tedious zonai grind to expand battery. For casual playthrough it's fine but just adds unnecessary grind in challenge runs. As for weapon duping it might make the run impossible as stuff breaks before being able to kill another Ganon to replace it.

@@moo8866 Its not like that at all he still has to perform and go places just has easier access to resources. It cuts out the tedium not add challenge. if he didn't dupe he'd be in the depths for literal hours maybe tens of hours just to have enough bomb flowers to kill the first phantom. that's not a challenge at all its just tedious grind. You probably wouldn't even see it in a video like this the entire grind would just get edited out because its boring to watch nobody would stick around. The end result would be the same just less time consumed doing it.
@@Rhakimdar my example was a slight exaggeration 🙄 still, it breaks the spirit of the challenge. the challenge is that it is tedious and not efficient. theyre (some of) the best weapons in the game, so the only *real* problem would be acquiring them. you dont see the botw counterparts to these challenges using menu overloading to dupe good items, so they shouldnt have to here either.

You wouldn't need to heal constantly. You can't die from using gloom weapons.

I love how the spears got buffed in ToTk. In Botw they were my most hated weapon type,and now my full inv is filled with spear weapons
you should "purify" the world as in doing this challenge, getting every lightroot, complete every shrine and get every heat container and stamina vessel

In Hyrule castle, when I didn't have good gear,I kept using arrows to hit phantom ganon in the head, I actually beat him a couple tries later, I decided to set a travel medallion there to stock up on some arrows and stuff and then went defeated him later on. The cutscenes with the puppet Zelda though...that was amazing!

You got more gloom hearts on the flurry rushes because you are playing in 1.0.0 .they fixed it in the later versions

Gosh when I first encountered them I was just like “NOPE IM OUTTA HERE” and also when I got the tunic of memories, I was just straight up disappointed because well, if you’ve played botw and you’ve gotten the tunic you know what I’m talking about
