Exactly she is NOT ready, cute, mature but her voice is not mature and it's to young sounding she needs breath control, work on her range , they did not do her a favor.

I agreed with Lionel she wasn't quite there, she needs a few more years then I think she'll be ready, her dad I think was surprised the judges voted her through.
Look do you remember just Sam who won American Idol she basically had that ace in the pocket OK what do you want that screaming loud noise like you know that whatever they nowadays singers what all do OK her voice sounds pure and innocent. OK it’s not all about hitting those high notes, OK what do you want to be like Miley Cyrus or whatchamacallit? It’s about being one not being a clone of some motherfucker so she’s unique and also she got Ace in her pocket which is the Spanish

I feel like she was nervous and it came through but she has a nice tone and with the extra vocal training, she could really develop that. she’s only 14 and I think some in the comments are being a little harsh. plus the coaches gave her good criticism/feedback as well. it’s not like they were dishonest w/ her or just gave her positive praise.

It doesn't matter what language someone sings in. Some people may like or dislike a song for various reasons but it doesn't determine if they can sing or not.
They should have requested her a short song in English. Good quality voice if coached

A yes was given because her famous dad was in the room. The young girl has an ordinary voice and definitely not competitive. Sweet girl, but this is not a competition of sweetness.
She was given a yes for ratings. She's cute. She has a sweet voice. But definitely not competition worthy. But, whatever. She'll gain from the experience and hopefully she'll appear on The Voice in a couple of years. 🤷🏻♀️ By that time hopefully she'll be a lot better.

I'm fairly certain they changed the minimum age to 14 a few years ago. I remember it being a big deal for another young person. I think it was because the Voice has a minimum age of 14. I could be wrong tho...

Rather than discussing it with me on KZhead why don't you just go look up American Idol qualifications that clearly states and I quote "contestants must be between 15 to 29 years old" It's not that hard to make sense out of that. It was clear to most people here that the only reason she was on the show period was because of her dad. There are some incredibly talented people trying out for this show that meet the qualifications. She does not. Other shows, such as The Voice, AGT etc. do not have age restrictions, but American Idol does.. Those are facts. Now imo...she's too young, her voice was not where it needs to be for this level of competition, and just to add to the age requirement, this was also on American Idols list of rules. "5. Language Requirement: While the show doesn’t explicitly state that contestants must sing in English, it’s implied since the show is conducted in English and aired in the United States. So, yes, singing in English is an essential part of the American Idol audition process!" Clearly, she didn't have to follow these, but ONLY because of her dad. That's actually sad for her. It's better that she try out and become successful knowing she was good enough to be selected without him being in the room

There's many artists that i listen too where i dont understand the language however can feel its intent. Theres beauty there you are missing. The only reason i'd ask for a song in english is to see if she did the same bad habit abrupt stop on phrases breaking the fluidity of the song.

For galvais/juan's daughter, i'd like to hear if she does the same habit of breaking off words & phrases abruptly which disrupts the fluidity of the song. I've no issues with foreign languages or singers. I love celtic women, celine dion, andrea bocelli & his children matteo & virginia, il divo, selena, shakira. There's a fluidity when they sing. Maybe juan's daughter was inside her head too much thinking instead of just singing. I would've asked her for a second song in her native language or english & like i said at start just to see if she did the same bad habit. I'm actually shocked by some of the comments.. I mean I have no idea what she was saying, but I thought her vibrato and tone was very unique. Random, but I would like to hear her sing something by Camila Cabello. I feel like her voice would fit her songs well. Thing is, if you do it for one then they should do it for all. Normally in this instance, they wouldve asked the contestant to either sing a second song or come back in a few years once they get more experience. There are many professionals out there willing to train/teach music to willing students.

Love music in foreign language, iam tongi (if you havent checked out his official channel, mr iam does have some songs in his hawaiian polynesian/tongan/samoan language absolutely stunning!), celtic women, il divo, andrea bocelli, shakira, celine dion, selina, j lo, & so many more. There's a fluidity of their timber, language & accents, that unfortunately was lacking here. I wish they would've asked for another song in english to see if she did the same habit. She can sing, has the notes but lacks fluidity of words that chop off abruptly.
