According to Alyssa she was begging to have Julia on the show with her but the judges said no. Just keep in mind these auditions are often heavily edited and things aren’t always exactly how they appear

Lionel's assessment of Julia's talent is spot on. She has amazing potential. Really awful how the former contestant stepped in and hammed it up and rewarded with a ticket while Julia stood there. Seemed disrespectful.

I don't necessarily blame the judges, but American Idol should have at least edited this differently to spare that poor girl's feelings. Alyssa walked in, sang, then asked the judges if she could be on this season. What she just did to her friend and stole her entire moment was distasteful. She'll truly find out when America starts voting.

I agree she was in the live shows before and any contestant who made it to the live shows in the past cannot re-enter it again. Honestly this feels fixed and unfair to the contestants this year. If there was like American Idol: All Stars yes only for those contestants who made it to the live shows in the past

Julia Davo will give any professional singer a run for their money. She was ROBBED. This girl has vocal chops and I am glad Lionel recognized this. It does not seem appropriate that Alyssa was allowed to enter official auditions in this manner and without having passed through regular protocol. Personally, I will be following Julia who has GREAT potential to EXCEL in the industry. She has the goods, the looks, the VOICE, and the carriage of what she wants to be and WILL BE - A rock star! You go Julia!!

Bc rules of this show say former contestants who got to the top 10 can't compete on it again, making her ineligible to reapply for it in the first place, so she exploited her friend Julia's opportunity, who went through all the previous stages before her televised audition... I feel Julia n I'm just sick of jerks who only care about themselves n use the ppl who who blindly trust them in their advantage without gaf about their needs, their rights n fairness

When Raghu said (regarding the golden ticket) "you want me to throw it away? I'll throw it away" to Julia... ugh, for me that was what told me she was a manipulator. No one ever says that sort of thing except to look like a good and selfless person because they know the other person would never ask them to throw away their victory. Whether the entire thing was scripted by the producers or not it was slimy as hell and I would need a long time to recover emotionally if I were Julia.

And Alyssa sings amazing, but just that, she sings like a lot of girls who can sings, and c'mon girl, this was Julia's moment, not yours. For me this was so unrespectful, those judges needs more respect for the contestants.

The judges should have gotten that girl to sing a different song she was really good. That was a painful thing to see with the other girl getting accepted

They’re supposed to be looking for out of the ordinary people, and Julia’s voice was definitely out of the ordinary, and she had great tone. These people are screwed. Thank you Lionel for sticking up for her.
