I was surprised they needed a sing off for Kaibrienne. To me she is one of the best. She expresses real feeling and emotions like no one else.
To be honest, and I could be wrong. I think they wanted to teach alyssa a lesson. Cuz there's no way that was even close. So it was either they wanted to teach her a lesson or they were biased based on having a history with raghu and didnt wanna just cut her and needed to kill the bias by isolating them and making it so the talent dictated it. And boy did it.

Nahhh, her friend got a fair opportunity and didn't get it, wasn't Ragus fault. Ragu saw an opportunity after it was a NO for her friend and she took it, it wasn't like she stole her friends spot! I’m just saying if I’m going to support my friend and they lost, that’s certainly not the most appropriate time to step in for an audition seems opportunistic in a way, they should’ve just auditioned together atleast that would’ve softened the blow a bit.
@@Dontrollingthe reason she had to do that was because it was against the rules for her to audition again. Using her friend was the only way for her to get in. Bending the rules for her is not fair to other talented contests who are not allowed to come back a third time

Kaibrianne voice cuts through in every word of that song and it hit me right in my heart.
It's a joke that KB was even in this position to have to sing for a spot in the top 24. She killed it and sealed her spot with her last performance which was a least a top 10 performance. The judges either really are as bad as they seem at times judging voices or this was strictly done by the network for the added drama.

The drama! It's a sing-off: Alyssa vs KB. Alyssa started sweet, simple, nice melody changes, nailed the big notes, brought some sweetness. KB just has a tone, so addictive, shredded those notes on top. voice breaks so beautifully. Touching.
Alyssa has a good, strong voice and she has done a lot of work since her first time on Idol plus she has all the confidence in the world, but KB has a far more unique sound that connects with people emotionally. I hope she can get over her insecurities and realize how beautiful she is and how special her voice sounds. All she needs is to believe in herself and she's got a great shot at Idol. Good sing-off!

I’m so thrilled that KB won the Sing-Off. Imagine losing to someone who had her fair opportunity in the competition - and decided to crawl back to mess up others’ first chances. Katy was clear from Raghu’s audition that she doesn’t think she will win the American Idol.

Who else thought it was ironic that they ended up choosing the song Shallow by LADY GAGA?! Alyssa’s friend Julia Davo has Gaga’s pitch!!! It’s as if this sing-off was a foreshadow of the first audition when Alyssa was pretending to support her friend but in the end slid her way into the competition.

I would SO have loved to have heard Julia journey through this Idol opportunity. Didn't know her from Adam but found a strong history of her on SM. She's been putting in the work for years and deserved her shot. She actually has a great persona and great voice.

I actually think that song was just right for KB she has a beautiful voice with a pain in it and it sounded better as soon as she started singing.

But Julia recently tweeted about how Alyssa showed her “true colors” during Hollywood Week and how she wasn’t a good friend all along. Alyssa spoke on TikTok about how the show manipulated their whole audition. But Julia confirmed that American Idol displayed what truly happened. I’m not really sure who to really believe. But at the end of the day, they’re no longer friends/roommates. It’s actually really sad.

Okay... after reading more comments than I should have, I will not politely pretend that Raghu gave any better than a karaoke-level performance, she has good control, but in no real way would I ever choose to listen to hers again. But, KB, I would listen again, download, and even pay for it. She's got a great voice that is missing on the radio and streams right now, and I care less of if she wins Idol than who is smart enough to back much needed talent like her.

“Upsets Raghu?” There were no malice or beef shown. That was clickbait. It was the judge’s choice!! Some people in the comments judged too far. Ofc it’s obvious that Raghu wanted this again and she probably was debating to do it again or not. Then when she had the chance, why not?! She was supportive still. There can only be one winner in the end anyways so it’s not wrong that they were individually competing. The judges put them together on purpose! Raghu still did wonderfully and so did her friend.

"Upset" in this context means beating someone who seemed to have had a higher chance of winning, not actually getting them mad. I'm not sure if you've heard this before in sports but like "The ____ team pulled off the upset" so for this video, it seemed like raghu had the higher chance so by KB getting the top 24 spot, she "upseted" Alyssa raghu or you can say "she pulled off the upset"

That was an incredibly beautiful, and humble way to go out. Alyssa Raghu is someone to learn from. She realized instantly how good Kaibrienne was, and while it impacted her emotionally with the realization, she never played the victim. That was an adult, and someone who is absolutely talented, and growing so much in her own right... but she knew this younger girl had it, and acknowledged it respectfully. Learn from Alyssa ya'll, and good luck to her in her travels, and career. We need more humanity like that in our communities, and in our world.
