A United Airlines pilot was tardy to her flight Saturday and arrived in civilian clothing, getting on the loudspeaker and ranted about her divorce and politics. According to reports, about 20 passengers disembarked the plane saying they didn't feel safe with her as the pilot. "Ok, if you don't feel safe, get off the airplane," the pilot said. "I'll stop and I won't fly the airplane. Don't worry. I'm going to let my co-pilot fly it. He's a man. Ok?" #InsideEdition

Good luck getting to your destination!
“ if you don’t feel safe get off the airplane” The entire airplane: aight imma head out
That's her way of saying she regularly crashes planes. She should stay in the kitchen.
The fact she informed them about her struggles/delayed the flight/ and then invited anyone who didn’t feel safe to leave tells me she was truly wanting people to get off.
Lol good one

As a flight attendant, I would contact the company and they would have her removed within minutes either by medics or law enforcement. The fact that the flight crew didn’t step in is wild.
Corporate cover up. Thats why they didnt do anything. The flight attendants themselves would have gotten fired and the pilot would have stayed on.
@@Timien ... The CoPilot has the responsibility as the next in charge to relieve her of her duties.
They probably weren't sure what was going on themselves.
@@Timien Do you really think United would prefer to cover it up and let that pilot continue, risk losing a multi hundred million dollar plane, plus all the legal payouts to dead passengers if they crashed?
She was removed from the plane by police and was also relieved of her duties by United Airlines, pending an investigation.

Lmao wtf, imagine ur pilot mid flight announcing that she’s going through a divorce I would be scared shitless lmaooo. She was giving off suicide vibes
agreed
No doubt about it.
Definitely
A captain crashed a plane once because he was too emotional over the fact he was going to be fired and was focused on that too much while also attempting to force a landing to sort of prove he was a good pilot that didn't deserve to be fired. So yeah stuff like this has killed people. I'm glad she went on a rant before they took off or anything.
this isn’t mid flight
I wouldn’t have so much worried about her actual competency to fly as far as skills, but I darn sure would’ve been worried she just might decide to end it all and take us with her.
Exactly what I was thinking!
Happened before everyone died, bless their souls.
I would be worried since it's a woman
I see your logic, but I think if that were a common way to go out then it would happen more often, even on the ground like people driving all the cars around. They typically don't do that even as drivers of cars, buses, whatever. Not saying its impossible, just not common.
If anything goes wrong then it’s her job to deal with it. I don’t care how good she is as a pilot because she clearly isn’t prepared to deal with a crisis.
I'm sure this has already been said a thousand times but at least she gave everyone fair warning and didn't quietly fly everyone into the ground
Exactly my thoughts. You know you aren't well, so you make it known in whatever way, but effectively warn everyone and potentially save them.
😂 I was thinking the same thing!
I doubt it would have been quiet - she would have let you know all the way to the ground
Or idk she maybe couldn't have just showed up for work. Or called in sick or talk to anybody on her entire way to the inside of the plane or anything else other than making it a performance which affected all passengers on the airplane. Seriously.
That's like saying at least this kid got bullied but wasn't murdered
They didn’t want her flying not because she was a woman but because she was crazy
yeah, but she was crazy because she is a woman
no further west i didn’t say that
I'm a woman and this joke is funny
Goo gle I’m an airplane and it’s meh
She makes women look bad

There seems to be an alarming uptick of mentally unstable pilots committing suicidal/kamikaze like acts in mid air, whether it’s flying directly into a mountain or plunging directly into a large body of water. It’s getting pretty damn scary.
That first guy to get off was the smartest person on that plane. Unhinged pilots have killed entire planes worth of people before, this might have been another one of those events.

I would have asked her why her husband wants a divorce and ask her how she thinks the marriage could have gone better. Is she happy with her career choices? If not, what would she like to improve in the future? And just keep her talking to help filter some of the excess trauma out until a new pilot could get there. We all have our breaking point and clearly she was at hers. It is likely she needed the money so badly she came to work on a day she couldn't perform her duties. She likely received a disturbing message from her ex or was provoked in another way that caused her to spiral out. That was an impulsive irrational move and if she got paid well enough she could have taken a mental health leave.
