The interview with the Xbox hardware team was pretty cringy. They were throwing buzzwords like "framerates we've never seen before" etc. The console itself is pretty awesome don't get me wrong. • i'm so happy that after years of consoles being considered inferior to PC gaming, the PS5 especially among the current gen consoles leaped so far into the future with new technology that now i believe we're going to have just another era of improving those features before any new innovations can occur, and that's a good thing because already the technology brought into the PS5, compared to its predecessor, makes it superior in so many dimensions, and going forward i see the most major improvements to the next say 2 generations of consoles will be having more powerful hardware to handle games at higher framerates AND high resolutions at the same time (high graphics settings at 4K while still getting 120FPS), having more capacity of that fast NVMe SSD storage and probably improve load times even more, and of course improving the already amazing haptic feedback and ergonomics of the controller.
