Reviving A Jeweler's Gold Wire Roller | No Talking!
#jewelery #restoration #vintagetools
Hey everyone,
Watch the amazing transformation of a vintage gold wire roller in this restoration video. From rust to powder coating, this jewelers tool gets a new life!
Embark on a journey of restoration as I revive a forgotten treasure - a Jeweler's Gold Wire Roller. From disassembly to assembly, each step unfolds, revealing the meticulous process of bringing this vintage story gem back to life.
Experience the satisfaction of witnessing rust and grime vanish, replaced by the gleam of restored metalwork and zinc plated parts. With care and precision, I clean, repair, and revitalize each component, honoring the craftsmanship of the past.
Follow along as I apply powder coating and perform necessary adjustments, ensuring both functionality and longevity.
Join me in celebrating the completion of this restoration project, and witness the satisfying results of hard work and dedication when I end with my Beer Test of a indonesian "Bintang".
Whether you're a restoration enthusiast, a goldsmith or simply curious about the process, this video offers a glimpse into the journey of breathing new life into old treasures.
Best regards,
Dr Beer Restoration

Your parents KNEW you were going to do this restoration justice. Your Dad and Grandma are smiling down on you. 😊
Thank you very much. I think so too :)
No long sleeves at the lathe please! We need you safe and sound. ❤
It will only hurt for a second but yes!
Beautiful restoration, what a tribute to your dad. You did your parents proud. Congratulations on hitting the big 100K subscribers. You really deserve it. You have wonderful skills and talents for restoring, your filming and editing are spot on. I'm always excited to see a new posting by you, Doc Beer. Thanks for sharing this lovely piece of history.
I always enjoy your restorations,I can hardly wait for the next video.Bless your parents for giving this to you.
I love your videos. For one, it's wonderful content with great camera work and excellent editing! Watching you restore objects is very meditative and calming to me. Like the "good kind of youtube videos" to watch right before going to bed! :D But there is more to it. The old, rusty objects would look like "trash" to most people. Something to get rid off, to throw in the bin. But the way you repair them and make them so beautiful and shiny again.. it's like giving them a second chance, a second life. Somehow, by putting your skill and effort and love in your actions of giving them a second life, you're not only restoring them, but also my faith in humanity. 🙏 What we can achieve, when we don't focus on how old/bad things have become, but how to make things better. Maybe even applying it to relationships of any sort..? Putting this work and commitment into something you love is just so noble. You remind me of the traits I love most about humanity. Thank you and keep doing the work you love ❤
It moves me quite a lot, when I see how many effort and nice thoughts and words you find to comment on my video. Thank you very very much for this. ❤️
A fine "Homage to Dad".....bravo
Thank you
Congratulations on achieving the subscriber milestone, and thank you for another beautifully edited and satisfying restoration! It's very meaningful that you will now be able to keep this reminder of your dad (and mom!) in your workshop, and it's exciting to know that it's already going to play a role in your next video! Very much looking forward to it!
Well done Dr. B. Awesome job.
Thanks Jason
Wonderful job you did restoring the gold wire roller. It looks much better and it works like a charm too. I bet your grandpa would be proud of you.
you made your ancestors proud my man!!

A beautiful restoration! And something special from your Dad.
Absolutely. Have a great day
Lovely job. Your dad’s gift was perfect
Just found (and subscribed to) your channel and blitzed your videos. It’s been chaotic here and they’ve provided a moment of relaxing travel for me, so thank you. Plus your restorations look incredible, and I’m definitely here for the beer ratings
Thank you very much, hope everything calms down for you soon
Can't wait till the next project, but also love how this roller came out!!!!
Beautiful work as always. Keep up the good work. HOWEVER, i MISSED the Beer Tasting !!!.
It is there! You might have turned off too quickly

Your work is wonderful. Good effort and great skills. Your dad and grandma are smiling at you.
First of: Congratulations again for passing the 100k ! Can’t wait to see this tool in your next video, really curious for that. ✌🏻
Excellent resto! I like the as-cast finish you allowed to remain. Next project is something for your lady, maybe? Congrats on the 100K!
Glad you saved it out of the yard and restored it!! It deserves it!!
Been a while but good to see you back .
Yeah I had to organize some stuff
Beautiful job... Looks like you already had a little beer 🍺 in that glass from a first one...lolol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Always love your videos especially when the parts walk themselves around...lolol 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I've been a cameraman in Hollywood for over 40 years now and used to do stop motion... ALOT of work...but ALOT of fun when it's done... But i enjoy watching your's and others videos on KZhead right now because I'm going through cancer... But I'll get better and get back to work at some point... Good job mate...
I wish you a fast and full recovery!!!
I just watched this and I subscribed at the end! Keep this quality up and your have yourself a regular viewer!
There are many projects waiting for you
Klasse Arbeit.
Proper job mate🦘🇦🇺👍🏼
Congratulations!
Thank you
What an awesome tool for you to restore. Your parents must have known how much you would enjoy restoring and using it! I know I enjoyed watching the restoration process. I undergo infusions to treat my chronic pain, so before I even *watched* this video, it got added to my "Infusions" playlist. There's just something so relaxing about watching someone talented restore tools that I've never used and put them to use! Great work, as always, and congratulations on the Silver Play Button!
A sublime restoration
Well done! Always a pleasure to watch. Can’t wait for the next video.
I really like the “CC” narrative!
Glad to hear that you liked

@@NTRprojects Ich danke Dir!

Congratulations on 100k! Loved the video, I always do :)
Taking up goldsmithing, eh? Well, whatever you do with it, it's beautiful -- you did it and your Dad proud!
Thank you Artemis
So happy or you! This is a gorgeous resto, i cant wait to see the ingots you send through!
Nice job.👍🏼
Perfect restore
So nice to see you! My hubby and I love your videos! ❤❤
Great restoration! Very well put together project. And, congratulations! See you on the next project.
I love the chapter 13. I’m indulging in chapter 13 now for a couple of hours. Love me some I-10 Intuition. Local made and local drank. Raise a craft for a toast.
Bravo!
Thanks again for the killer video.
LOOKS GOOD A JOB WEL; DONE
Wonderful job, as always. Bittersweet feeling, though. 😢
Bravo on the camera work.
Whenever I see rivets, I am sad for them, because they did their jobs so well, but they have to be removed. But then whenever I see frozen screws and bolts, I am happy for them, because I know they're going to feel so much more comfortable once they've been cleaned up!
😅😅😅
Hope I don't go all sentimental on rivets in the future
I get ya!
Congrats! Very well deserved!
What a simply gorgeous restoration!!😎
Glad you liked it
Lovely resto, then a lovely beer 🍻
Super jest odrestaurowane ta maszynka do robienia makaronu Pozdrawiam serdecznie.
Gut gemacht 🙌
Satisfying!
No talking? Okay I promise I'll be silent while watching the video ❤
You better be, please pay attention 😂
I've seen many knife makers use a forge with a steel tube ( usually square tube for more room ) in heat treating . That will give you a more even heat across your parts instead of having the hot spots under the burners .
Congratulations on 100K! :-)
Nice one Doktor! I’m sure your dad would be proud.
Thank you
It’s been great watching you improve your skills (and tools!) over time. You’re an inspiration. But I do so miss the beer.
You are a Master at your craft, Great Video, Keep them Coming, From Ocala Florida, USA
Thank you
Trouble removing the gear shaft? You are NOT an idiot. You give me hope when that kind of thing happens to a young person! 😀
Grats on the 100k!
Thank you very much
Damn fine work. I'll raise an Optimator to your health and success!
Nice refurbishing job. While I have no idea what it truly is or even how it is used, it looks good all the same... Thumbs Up!
You will see in my next video how it works
Nice restoration
Nice!
Excelente !
Hello mister beautiful restoration beautifully restored well done
Quite a nice rolling mill. You can work any non ferrous metal besides gold. Silver, copper, etc. great job.
Great colors
You deserved 2 beer!
Congrats on the 100k milestone. You do excellent work and it's been a pleasure to watch your work get better and better over time.
Thanks for sticking with me on this journey
Well done, sir. A very satisfying video and great finish.
Wow, after seeing the condition of that rolling mill at the beginning makes me feel much better about mine! It's "modern," but really not very different in its construction. May you get as many years of use out of it as I have mine! (I think we're going on about 30 years!) It's a wonderful tool for recycling scraps!
A pleasure to watch. As always ! Regards and greetings.😊
Thank you
Very nice.
I appreciate the edit, captions, quality of video and restoration. You will blow up soon but not compromising. Quote me in 1 year when you are over 1m subs
Weiter so.
Vielen lieben Dank für deine Worte
Very nice did a good job
Incredible.
Thank you
Ive been watching your vids for a couple of years. I have to say your overall skill level improved greatly and this one is really top! ❤ BTW I lived in Indonesia for a decade until last summer, so Bintang and I are buddies 😂 It’s a decent beer - not great. However, IMO Bintang (along with Angker) is much better than any other Indonesian beers (Prost, Draft, Singha, Bali Hai, etc) which are all too abrasive for my taste, cheers! 🍻
Nice job! I just can imagine the golden wire diameter of 1 cm :)
Well it starts as a thick short piece and gets rolled thinner and thinner. You will see next time
Another piece of history restored absolutely excellent work that you do.
Thanks and best regards to the UK
. Gruß Tino PS: Tolles Geschenk von Deinen Eltern und ganz tolle Arbeit von Dir wieder! I think it's great that casting still looks like casting after powdering! I'm looking forward to the project where wire is rolled. . Greetings Tino PS: Great gift from your parents and great work from you again!
Danke fürs Feedback Tino
Good to have you back, buddy
Thank you
Beautiful tool, I look forward to watching you use it, and congrats on 100K subs! Cheers!
Thank you Colleen
Great job. I'm so sorry about the loss of your father.
Good 👍
Great work! You were missed.
Thank you Eric
Hi, Not sure if the Red, White, Black was intended, if so very clever. Congratulations on your Milestone. Lovely work as usual. Jealous of all of your equipment.
I watch the video. ;)
Perfect video! Vielen Dank! But next time try one of our marvelous Belgian beers?
Yesss I know it's time for a Belgian one 🙂👍
Congrats on reaching the 100k milestone, well deserved. Lovely result on the wire-roller itself too, i'm glad you didn't do the base in the same color as the roller, it's good to have them visually separate. If i were to be picky about the restoration, then it would have to be to replace the home-made gear-cover with something more in the shape of the rails. But, that's just me, a rando on the internet that like to think i know what i would've tried. Though, i'm guessing you have far too many hours into the restoration and i know that shaping the metal for a new cover and welding it would be a PITA that i'm guessing might not be really worth it.
I really appreciate decent feedback, so thank you for the input. I guess I never even thought about it. I was focused on upgrading the existing cover 😊
Respect for not editing out your "idiot mistake"! That was funny.
Glad to hear that you liked it
No talking, restoration, beer, cool stuff... Is there better channel than this?
I reckon you're going to use that as a pasta maker. Specifically 'really thin spaghetti' and 'really fat spaghetti' ;) Great work as always
WOW!
